Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.
joje - Thursday, 20 November Hi- I am so sorry that you have to go thru this, ESPECIALLY to do it alone. Bless you. It really is horrible. & make you wanna tear out your effin' hair too. Some tips I've gotten- swaddle her, use white noise, use shush-ing sounds, hold her on your lap on her side. or hold her across your lap tummy down, diet modification . I cant think of anymore right now. The thing is, all of these things work for her for a few minutes, & then the screaming begins all over again. Also- there is something called 'gripe water' I have heard of it but havent tried it. Oh- I did try the mylicon (generic-- store brand) but it didnt seem to help. I know how frustrating this is & I feel for you stuck to do it on your own. Men can be such f-ing bastards (sorry for language). If I come up w/anything that works, I'll let you know. The one thing that has kinda been working for me- & I dont want to tell too many people for fear of people judging/b1tching at me- is to have the heating pad in her bed to warm it up & then turn it off once she is resting comfortable. But- the people who judge have OBVIOUSLY never spent 1 night w/ a colic-y baby. Anyway, I wish you the best in everything. Keep your chin up. You sound like a strong woman.
joje - Wednesday, 19 November Oh-her dr also has me modifying my diet- no caffiene, chocolate, red sauce, fried foods, citrus or dairy. KILL ME.
joje - Wednesday, 19 November Hi. Sorry to hear you have the colic curse too. I am at the end of my rope! NO SLEEP EVER FOR ME. Anyway, I try all of the traditional stuff. It works for a few mins & then she starts screaming again. If you can get a hold of the book or dvd- the happiest baby on the block- he has some great tips. My pediatrician suggested rubbing her tummy lightly & also putting a heating pad on her belly. I really feel for you- it is horrible. Hope something works for you. I am from PA too. I am just outside of Pittsburgh- where are you ? Just curious Anyway- take care & best of luck to you.
vipbaby68123 - Wednesday, 19 November im dealing with the gassy, upset tummy, possible colic right now, i eat peppermint candies (they seem to settle het tummy) and rub plain old olive oil into her belly skin ( around her belly button) hope this isnt too hokey and seems to help.
ArmyWife-n-TX - Wednesday, 19 November Someone told me to give baby just a little bit of dark karo syrup for cholic. Or try googling "home remedies for cholic".
vanessag7 - Friday, 7 November I'm told before 6 weeks they get confused so i want to establish her feeding on the boob first, especially since i have so much milk and i need her to sort that out for me as well
vanessag7 - Thursday, 6 November Yeah, I'm pumping baby. I'm like a freaking cow lol. I dont want her on the bottle yet though, not til after 6 weeks old, then i'm free lol
vanessag7 - Thursday, 6 November Thanks a lot for your advice, I tried going for a drive with her but as soon as i got her out of the car she started up again. I just need to get through this time with her and get her to settle again somehow. I need a beer but I'm breast feeding. A beer and a smoke would be great right now lol
vanessag7 - Thursday, 6 November Thanks so much. I thought she was too young for colic but maybe not. I will try the white noise, a few people have said it works so I'm going to give it a go, cant hurt right

Roz - Tuesday, 21 October Good luck. I know you are so happy. Roz
suzied - Wednesday, 15 October My friend's baby's belly was also measuring small. In her case they did an ultrasound and she was having placenta attachment issues...nothing serious. The way her doc explained it was that the baby is smart and feeds her brain first so her belly measured small. She was put on bedrest, her doc is EXTREMELY conservative, and was induced 10 days early. Her baby was born with no noticeable belly problems and is thriving wonderfully. I think I read that you're being induced or having a c-section in 7 days. so just take it easy and I'm sure that you and the baby will be just fine.
mrs-b83 - Tuesday, 14 October I hope I have dialated at this point! I am so done lol. Best of luck with your c-section and recovery!
