9/17/2009 - 17 weeks 3 days - Went to a genetic testing office today due to some family history and we were also getting an ultrasound there as well. When the appointment was scheduled I was told to drink 32oz of water without going to the bathroom...?!?! huh? So I really tried to do it, I did, but I couldn't. I think I probably got through about 20oz and had to PEE....I sat through the appt. for genetic testing and at the end I asked her if I really needed to drink that much more because I was about to go!! She said that at 17 weeks the baby already has enough amniotic fluid and I didn't need to drink that at all...great. Off to the bathroom!! hehe. Anywho, went in to get the ultrasound done and boy were they rude!! The first tech was annoyed with us having to bring our son in with us and when she brought the doc. in they refused to let me try and move the baby around to possibly see the sex. They said he/she was upside down and legs tightly closed so they were not even going to attempt it. Gee thanks... The whole time the dr. was in the room she really made it a point to bring up my weight since I am a big plus size. Saying I was too big to be able to finish the ultrasound, they couldn't see the organs enough, blah blah blah...so I have to go back in a month and HOPEFULLY I will be able to see what the sex is and be b*tched at for how fat I am...Love it!!

9/8/2009 - 16 weeks 3 days - Had my 2 week follow up with our midwife today. I was expecting a little more to be done, but all they did was weigh me (lost 2 lbs, woot woot) checked my urine (more good news - no more protein!!!) and my blood pressure (yet again, totally normal...amazing!). She also tried to hear the heartbeat and she said she heard it for a nano second, but I heard nothing. She said the little one was too far down but I am not worried at all because I am begining to feel he or she moving around. Our next appt. is 9/17 and it is a Level 2 ultrasound. I am so pumped! I am crossing my fingers that we are able to find out what the sex is...

8/26/2009 - 14 weeks 3 days - Went to meet with our new midwife at the high risk specialists office. She was...interesting...but seemed very nice. She kept harping on my weight...saying "you know, you don't really HAVE to keep eating for two"...yeah, cause I like gaining weight, it really suits me lady!! Oye...anywho, we were told we would get an ultrasound done so we were REALLY hoping to find out the sex but then when we asked her she said there wasn't anyone there who could do a real one. Bummer. She did grab a portable machine in the office and did one herself which was still really great because we saw the little bean bouncing all over!! It was so neat!! We go back in 3 weeks for a level 2 ultrasound so she said hopefully then we will be able to see :) ... I have still been feeling great!! A little short on the energy, but I'll take it!! I have also been starting to feel the flutters! That is so awesome to feel again...I missed it so much with my first and am really excited to have it back again :)

7/21/2009 - 9 weeks 2 days - Had our first ultrasound with this little bean :) Didn't get to see it moving, but we did get to see the heart beat at 177, which was good!! Surprisingly I have not been sick once through this pregnancy, with my first I was sick as a dog for the first 14 weeks...I feel great!! Get a little nauseous when I don't eat, but that's about it!! Maybe this time around it's a girl?? :) On one hand, a boy would be awesome because we will be in hand-me-down heaven ;) And a girl would be amazing because we already have a little boy...either way, as long as we have a healthy baby, I am happy!!

6/30/2009 - Here we go again :) - 7 weeks - We took a test on Thur, 6/25/09 and it came back that I am preggo again!! I just went to the doctor for the 'official' test, and yup! I'm pregnant!! I have to say that it comes with mixed emotions for us. My husband is laid off and it has been tight, but I know that we were worried about that the first time around and we are doing just fine now! We are DEF hopingng it's a boy this time around (don't want to let all those cute outfits go to waste!) But a girl would be just as wonderful, as long as he/she is healthy, that is all I ask. Am feeling a little nauseous, not too bad (yet) and a bit dizzy...We'll see as we go though, I didn't get any severe symptoms with Lucas until around 9 weeks or so. Next appointment is not for a while and I don't think I will be getting nearly as many ultrasounds as I did with Lucas as we live in a different area now...I will definately be updating as we go!!

Hi. They didn't cut enough skin from my 2 year old when he had his circ done. We still deal with issues now and again. Right now the skin had pulled back and it got all red and inflamed. We have to really diligent about pulling it back or it does seal back up. Then it's really painful to pull it back. I think he should have more skin removed but my husband doesn't want him put under.

Thanks! Ya it's so hard. unfortunatally this is my second time having to give my dog away. I think after this I won't get another pet. It sucks for them and us :(

But thanks again!

Hi there! Thanks so much for the comment about the picture! I edit all my pictures and store them into seperate albums on shutterfly. It's a great website- you can create projects like cards, calenders, books etc or just store albums. They even allow you to make a personal website to share with friends and family. :)

When you are first starting solids, the baby is just kinda learning how to eat. It's totally OK if they need some time to figure it out. They are getting most of their calories from breastmilk/formula anyway.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

divineart - Tuesday, 30 September
He goes to the dr. this week but I think he weighs about 21 lbs, it is truly amazing. When he was born he was 6lbs 12oz and look how big he has gotten in such a short time. How big is Lucas now.

pawsitvemama - Friday, 26 September
Well that is good and gives me hope!

I am from month 4 and saw your post...I just put Isabella up in her crib for the first time last week. It was so depressing not having her around at night time. Our room is on the first floor and she would sleep in the pack n play in our room. It took me two nights to feel better about it. I didn't fall asleep until like 1am on both of those nights. Then she slept like 7 hours in a row the third night and she had never done that before. Of course she hasn't done it since, but it showed me this was a better sleep situation for her. It was hard, but you will feel better in a few days!

noahsmommy0303 - Thursday, 25 September
Thank you, Lucas is adorable also.

Thanks for the comment on my little cowboy! Lucas is such a cutie!

Hello -
My little boy is about 2 1/2 weeks younger than your baby and he isn't a big turner at all either. He has done it but prefers not to. He likes going to his side more than flipping all the way around. He isn't sitting on his own yet really at all. So I am really concerned about him being so slow. The doctor said not to worry... yet. But if at 7 1/2 months, if he isn't rolling everywhere, then he will need checked out. It is scary and I'm very worried, but hopefully they will start very soon. Good Luck!
