breezee - Thursday, 18 September Thanks, I just bought some coupons on Ebay!
MaryJanowiecki - Thursday, 18 September My son HATES bananas too and my sister's baby did too i think it is because they are very ripe. I think it's pretty common.
Aaron and Kaylees Mommy - Saturday, 6 September My son was doing the same things and I looked in his mouth and he has a tooth. It cut threw last night and was crying all night. The past week he was coughing and had a runny nose. I thought he was getting a cold but he was teething! Maybe your little one is teething?
momoffive - Sunday, 20 July I just read your post about your baby sleeping a lot. Sam goes thru phases where he will sleep for like 2 weeks and really only wake up for about 20 or 30 min at a time. The week after the 4th of july he was probably only awake a total of about 2 hours a day. I was starting to get worried and just when I was ready to call the dr. he started waking up more. he's now back to some normal sleeping where he's awake a good 5 or 6 hours a day. e does sleep a lot though.
heatherography - Monday, 9 June alright, that makes me feel a little better! ha. i'm glad he's not too far behind and other babies are the same way. thanks again
melSue01 - Wednesday, 21 May I would definitely say he baby is just gettin lazy on you and prefers the easy sucking of the bottle, and I would definitely try to avoid any bottle feeding when home with baby. I pump at work too, and fortunately so far so good. My girl generally drinks 3or 4 4 oz bottles in a nine hour period while I'm working and I can't wait to get home and spend time with her!! Good luck--
mommylaurie - Wednesday, 21 May Keep with it! I think the problem you are having sounds like nipple confusion. The botle is much easier to get milk out of. I would change nipples to a premee nipple or a very slow flow one. He is just throwing a tantrum cuz it is harder work! LOL
Simplyme - Wednesday, 21 May hi there dont stress out...i dont think its got anything to do with your milk drying up, i just know that drinking from a teat is alot easier then drinking from your breast so basically baby is just being lazy and fussy.... Thats y i express all my breast milk and supplement with formula too. I hope that helps you.
leahsmom - Wednesday, 14 May Don't feel too bad about the nail cutting accident. I did the same thing to my first baby. I think it hurts us more than them. Just let daddy take over nail cutting duty he'll see what a difficult job it is!
mommyinthesky - Tuesday, 13 May I've been filing the baby's nails. It works really well. I'm into doing my own nails and I file mine too. I'm not goo with clippers either.
mom2boy - Tuesday, 13 May Don't worry I am sure it has happened before. I don't dare to cut his nails, I actually file them instead.
Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 13 May I cut Malone's fingers too, but even worse than you - I cut three of them! I felt so awful. I called my sister and told her I was a bad mom and she said, "That's just bad mom mistake #1. I'm on #19, 000 already." She has two teenagers. I felt so much better after that. And then I found that anyone I told the story too had also cut their babies' fingers. So don't worry. We all do it.
bluebeanz - Tuesday, 13 May Awww hugs to you. You are NOT a bad mom. Itès easy to do that because their nails & fingers are so small. Tell your husband he can do it now so he can apreciate how dificult it is! I cut my baby's nails the day she was born & cut her too. :( I felt horrible even though she didn't even cry!!! I just couldn't believe I'd done that to her (this is my 2nd daughter so I'm supposed to be a pro). :( So I completely understand how you feel. After that, I refused to cut her nails on the other hand & put the mittens on. But I've since gone back to trimming them again. Hugs!
jessicadarling - Tuesday, 13 May Tell your husband to read What to Expect the First year. There is a section in the book about nail cutting that states that babies nails are super soft and the skin is still attached to them so EVERYONE will make their baby bleed at least once. Then again if he thinks he is superman let him do it and when he makes your baby bleed I hope you make him feel like crud!
cherriblossom - Friday, 2 May Hello. I take Metformin for my PCOS it doesn't help me with hair growth or weight but it did regulate AF really well. Also I got pregnant off of met twice with no other fertility drugs needed. Hope that helps.
cko1522 - Friday, 2 May Thank you for your kind words. This has been rough but I know it could be much worse. Thanks so much for posting your message, it has helped me cheer up and gain a bit of perspective.
MzMommy2B - Tuesday, 29 April Glad to hear I'm not alone!!!! Someone posted that he may be going through a growth spurt and will go back to normal soon. Lets hope thats the case for both of us!!!
adjohns26 - Monday, 28 April sorry for taking so long to respond. have your adventures in baby poop improved? He probably was constipated since you switched from breast to formula...hope he is doing better. kiss his tummy...:)
miniJK - Monday, 28 April You're welcome! I hope it helps. Good Luck!
suzigrassman - Tuesday, 22 April Hi there! Any advise for a newly expecting mother? I too have PCOS, and was told it would be hard to conceive. I am about 5 weeks i believe and do not see the Dr until May 1st, so any advise to hold me off until then would be great! i really want this baby and fear miscarriage! Thank you and congrats to you!
adjohns26 - Monday, 21 April did you ask how often he poops because he does it too much or you think it isn't enough? As long as he is consistent he is fine. and of course since he is a wee one, you should pay attention to consistency...oh fun! i have a whole chart of poop colors for babies. it's so funny how many conversations we have about our kid's poop! :)
My Ava also has jaundice, and I was so set on nursing her exclusively, but she just never seemed satisfied. So what i'm doing now. Is I'll nurse her. and when she seems to give up and fall asleep. Which is only after about 10 or 15 mins [ I read a normal feeding is about 40 minutes , and on both sides where as we only make to one boob ] I'll give her another ounce of formula. That normally holds her over. We've gotten through the nigth with only 1 or 2 feedings after I started doing that. It's disspaointing but as long as she's getting her nourishment and I still get to nurse it's ok. And to bring my supply up. I will pump whenever i get a chance. Always after she is fed, and then also when ever they start filling up in between. then I store it in the fridge and give it to her when i have to take her out, or it's not convenient to nurse. She has her 1 week appt today so we'll see how that's going! Good luck! I hope this helped and sorry it was so long!
mom2boy - Thursday, 17 April Do you offer him both breasts when you feed him? I was only giving my baby one breast and he would nurse for about 20 minutes and be done. So I figured he was done eating but then he would be hungry shortly after, I thought maybe he wasn't getting enough. So I let him eat on one side until he is done and then offer him the other and he usually eats for another 10 minutes.
alison3773 - Sunday, 13 April I usually pump as soon as Colton finishes eating. At first I could only get an oz or less from each side, but I kept doing it every time and now I can get about 2-3oz from each side after he is already finished. I have a nice supply built up now which is great since today was my first day back at work so I had to leave him with my mom. It was actally nice to get away for a few hours and my mom was more than happy to take care of him for me.
