My son's tip readheared after his circ. It is not the doc's fault. The skin is new and it just happens. We went to a urologist and had it unattatched. You can actually do it yourself overtime by putting vasaline on it twice a day and work on pulling back the skin. When our son's was fixed we had to put vasaline on it twice a day for a week and then a few times a week after that. We had to make sure and "pop" it out when we changed him. We were also told he would grow out of it but, it bothered us. Hope this helps, Jen

Hi there! Just wanted to comment on your message about fighting with your partner. Me and my boyfriend had a fight when we came home from the hospital, due to be overwhelmed with guest. Sad, but we took our frustrations out on each other. Since then we haven't argued, but know it's normal to have arguments. Having a baby is a big adjustment to your lives and you are going to take the pressure out on eachother. Am sure with in time, things will get better. I also for a couple days had the baby blues or postpartum blues. I cried for no reason. I think breast feeding added to my blues. It felt the baby was sucking the emotions right out of mel. LOL Neways, this is my second time around and it doesn't feel any easier @ times, so hang in there and congrats on your new baby! Take care

I have a two week old boy and the first week was crazy hell on both my husband and I. Not only were we getting use to and learning about our new baby but we had very little sleep. I had the baby blues and every time my husband would say something about my parenting skills I would break down and cry. I think the first month isn't post depression it's just your body is going through hell trying to get back to your per pregnancy self. Maybe when he put your baby down for the night or a long night try and reconnect with your husband sex maybe out of the question but you could either have a glass of wine and talk to him like you did befoe you guys had babies. Fix your hair and makeup and make him loo at you in a different way that just the mother of his kids. When I feel really distance from my husband I try different things to get his attention I don't want to be too needy I know he's going through as much as I am just in his own way.
Good Luck and remember this phase doesn't last forever!

oh lucky you to be induced! But omg yes I am soooo feeling you on that pain. I wake up every morning not being able to move from that pain. It is def the worse pain Ive ever had to deal with. It was worse than my labor & delivery with my first baby. Well I went back to the hospital tonight. Contractions are like 4-5 mintues apart, Im 4cm dilated and only like 40-50% effaced. But they sent me home because im staying steady at that point. He said dont be suprised though if you are back later tonight or tomorrow. He said when they get more intense or the vaginal pressure gets worse call me. I told him there is no way in hell the vaginal pressure could get any worse. OHHHH just induce me already!!!!!

Cryptic304 - Tuesday, 18 Mar
ohhh god yes. That is my worse complaint right now. I have it constantly Im not even able to walk.

LynsayP - Tuesday, 18 Mar
be happy ypu are only getting these shooting pains now, i've had them since 30 weeks when my baby dropped and at 33 weeks when he dropped even further..they got worse!

With that big of a weight gain in that little of time I have a suspicion it might be pre-eclampsia. Of course I'm not a doctor :). Good luck with everything!

caitlyn I have one boy and one on the way. I chose to circumsize my first. It does seem scary to know what they do but in the long run it does benefit. I work as aa aide for the MR and some of the men do not have the circumsizition and if you do not take care of it properly it can get very infected. but it really is your decision to make. The only bad thing after my sons was done was it can bleed and make you worry but it all turned out fine. I hope this helps.

mom-o-7 - Tuesday, 11 Mar
While in Rome, do as the Romans do...I live in the US, so I do as the Americans do...having my son circumsized..I never really struggled with the decision, thank goodness!

Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 11 Mar
You've asked a loaded question. Be prepared for a barrage of opposing opinions and lots of personal responses. People feel really strongly about this.

In Canada, the circumcision rate is only 13%. Most people don't get it done because there is no medical reason for the operation. But I know things are seen differently in the States.

Do your own research and come to a decision you are happy with. Many people have opinions that they will be happy to share, but you must decide what is right for you and your baby.

ME TOO!!!!!!!! i've been suffering with that kind of pain since i was about 28 weeks or so. i've complained to every doctor i've seen and all they can tell me is, it's just your ligaments stretching and your hips spreading. nothing you can do but rest and tylenol :o(

honestly you might not even want anything else...i hurt myself recently and the doc gave me vicodin, but it made the baby so sluggish i started freaking out wondering if something was wrong with him. after one dose wore off he was back to his usual self but i haven't been able to bring myself to take it again.

on the upside, only about 4 weeks left, hang in there!!!!!

martina26 - Saturday, 23 Feb
Thanx for the tip. hope ur feeling well ;)

babyoneg - Friday, 22 Feb
I kind of feel the same way. I don't know if I am ready to share my husband yet...

kathrynb10 - Friday, 22 Feb
Hi Caitlin - I wouldn't worry about what your dh said. I think that is totally normal. In fact, I have those same fears sometimes. I think it is the greatest tragedy that couples lose themselves when they have kids. I see those tired looking, overworked mothers that have forgotten they are women running around the store in sweat pants and a mini van and I think 'Eeek! I don't want to be like that!' I know that our relationship will change somewhat when the baby comes and I grieve for that peice. Of course that doesn't mean it will not be good, just different. But don't sweat it - it's normal and I think it is a great testament to the strength of your relationship that he felt comfortable enough to open up and share that with you. Good luck -

Girl, you are as cute as a button! Hope the hubby knows how lucky he is. Would just like to slap some wings on you and turn you into a cherub! hehe Can relate to how you've been feeling lately, I'm going though a lot of the same symptoms. Unable to sleep, achy, uncomfortable, hips groaning and footing feeling off because of the edema. Adam gave us a good scare this past week as well, his movements completely stopped for two days. But his heart rate was strong and the doctor just thinks he's totally out of room in there and can't hardly move. A bit of cake later though he was trying to do his flip flops once more without much luck. The best to both of you and congratulations.

martina26 - Friday, 22 Feb
I love ur background--how can i get one like it?

ErinS1121 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
I seriously don't think the baby has anymore room inside me either!! it's nuts!!!

jessy613 - Wednesday, 30 Jan
Hi. I totally feel movement on the sides of my stomach as well. It's pretty weird, at first I was like woah they are kinda like near my hips instead of being in front my belly button, but i guess because of the position hes laying in thats why, I sure hope he changes position before he is born!! I know he was breech before but now he is transverse. Everything is going well for me, I can't wait until this is over, I feel like I have been pregnant forever and a day, and I just want my body back and want to be able to eat and drink anything I want without worrying constantly about the baby!! :) Have you got the nursery all set up yet?
