Hi my name is Cara,

Im 19 . Im a single mum giving my all to my son, I found out I was pregnant when I was 23 weeks. I had been sick for about 4 months I went to doctors specialists and none of them could tell me what was wrong, I ended up getting a new GP who is really good she told me as soon as I got there that I was pregnant (I made her do the test twice =-p) she didn't mind lol..

i had my baby boy on the 6th of june 2008 he is the best,handsome, most special thing in my life.

i called him Austin James Jenkins

austin and i live with my dad he is great, my whole family are so helpfull. my mum loves being a young nana =)

there are currently 5 generations in our family which is pretty cool we are all about 20 years apart there is austin, cara (me), donna (my mum), irene (my nan) and edith (nan's mum).

i love having a huge family and hopefully soon i will meet the right man and add to my family some more =)

wow i knew i was pregnant with this one and the test came up neg but that was only a week after my period was due with my son i never took any test and didnt know i was pregnant with him till i was 3mths even though i was throwing up all the time it just didnt click. how the hell do you freze someones cervix that seems weird and why would yiou do that anyways. and yea there are some quack out there so yopu have to pick and choose carefully well you found out now and you got the care you needed you son is cute by the way love the santa pic good to see he not to scared of him lol. im good aye i just want the baby now but i have to wait 15 more weeks lol im sure it will go fast after xmas is here... my son got to feel the baby kick yesterday for the first time it was funny he thought that the baby was being mean by kicking him so i had to explain that thats what they do in mummys tummy as they cant talk yet. lol

olly sleeps for 10 hours and then wakes up, i change him, feed him and then he sleeps for another 2 hours before fully waking up in the morning..and then he just has a few hour naps here and there during the day which is great!

Oliver and i had a big day out yesterday, we were out for most of the day shopping and meeting up with family before xmas..we both are so damn tired, Olly has been sleeping most of today and lastnight he slept for 10hours, which he does normally but i was suprized he did lastnight since he got sunburnt and i thought he would be in pain..

wow, i wouldnt be able to handle the hot weather over there for ages, its good to go over there for a holuiday tho..i got Oliver and myself sunburnt today by accident, i feel so guilty looking at Oliver and his red face and arms!! and he doesnt like the hot weather here also, gets him grizzly..

Dont worrie keep reminding yourself that this isnt what he meens and that its simply apart of his growing and learning. What you could do is when he says the word try not to make a big deal about it. Act as though he never said anything and reply back with *Mum* or another word easy to say!

Thats so scary but we all know a robber never returns back to where he stole from so dont worrie!! -xx

Aww hunni dont worrie, MANY babies say dad as their first word. It was dominicks as well. Every mom wonders why its not their name first since were there all the time with them! But dont worrie.. i think i remeber reading a study that showed it was easier to say.. its very common and the baby doesnt even know what it meens yet. They dont know that when they say Dad it means their father.. Dominick sure didnt know it just made steve happy to hear it.

hey ladies.

I don't know how many of you read the updates on my page, But i haven't been feeling like myself for the past couple of days. I have been having a harder time using the washroom, today i have back pain, and for two days i have been having menstrual type of cramping. Yesterday i passed some mucus that was streaked red and had some pink to it as well. I believe i dropped today so i called my doctor simply because i'm not feeling like myself, and i go in on Monday for an appointment. He said that he would check me then and if i would like he would stretch my cervix, and this could help bring labor on in a day or a couple days (fingers crossed, if you had any experience with this please let me know) I just wanted to let you girls know in case i disappear sometime this week.. I'm sure its just progress though, but i would like him to stretch my cervix out on Monday to help me since the Christmas holiday is only two and a little weeks away now. I don't want to be caught up in that rush.

heya, im doing great, went to our coffe group today which was good for a day out and catch up. so strange seeing all our babies get there own personalities, they also cant get over how oliver is wanting to crawl when you put him on his tummy as he loves it!

hows work going for you? im thinking of going back to work, SIGH, just so i can have my own money instead of havin to rely on hamish supportting me once my maternity leave runs out..
