Nikolle - Friday, 7 November
Oh wow, lucky you. My levels are all over the place. So far I am in my limits, but I can definitely feel the difference in my diet and how I feel. I finally went grocery shopping and found a lot of great things I can eat. My house is full of carbs and sugar :) and only with this pregnancy. We NEVER have sugar in the house. My husband doesn't eat it, but I was craving it this time around. Well I am sure that they won't make you monitor anymore and that is great that you don't need to change your diet. It has been hard....but I know I will get it and feel better once I stock the house with the right foods.

How is it going with your gestational diabetes? I got diagnosed as well. I just took my class and have started the testing and meal plans. I am not feeling so good today. I think my body is adjusting to everything and trying to regulate itself. Only 3 1/2 more months to go...

I wa in the same position as you are with GD. 2 out of the 4 readings came back slightly over. I went to the a diabetic counceling and they just educate you about it i got a monitor and have to test my blood 4 times a day. I am not taking any med or insulin with it it is all controlled by diet, Chances are if you are barderline like I was you will be able to control it wiht diet. Really not a big change, and it was a lot less of a pain in the butt then I thought it would be. Good luck !!!

Thanks for your message. I couldn't get an appointment until three weeks from now which just seems like it will never come. I'm going to talk to me doctor tomorrow to see if there is someone else I can see sooner. Hopefully it’s nothing but I can't help but be worried.

Even thought you were finr by the 3rd hour? Darnit. My levels were very high this time compared to my last pregnancy. And I fasted this time. I am a little worried.

I was reading your post in the GD section and was curious as to what your doctor called it?

Hiya, thanks for your kind words, it means so much. Its mad we are the same age and the same amount of weeks, my due date was three days later than you. I am 27 weeks on sat. Well I am just hoping that your little bundle of mischief's vents stabilize, am sure they will, they also say that boys vents tend to be bigger than girls so that could explain that one, anyway am sure things will work out great for you, thanks again x

Welcome Cathy and congratulations on your upcoming arrival! I turned 42 today and we're ttc #2.

I am starting to think that the technology may be a step ahead of what the doctors know. I was also told that they are seeing this more and more. I wonder if this could just be one of the ways that babies develop differently. My u/s at 21 weeks didn't pick up anything wrong. This was only discovered at 31 weeks. And really, if only I weren't at that wonderful "advanced maternal age", I wouldn't of had this 3rd u/s and wouldn't suspect a thing was wrong. Everything else with this pregnancy has been completely normal. How far along are you now?

triciah - Monday, 6 October
thanks catbertie, he's so handsome, if i had a scanner or was a little more computer literate i would post a picture.

krissynj - Friday, 3 October
Thank you so much. I feel much better even though the kidneys are worrying me!! I guess we have to wait and see what's going after the baby is born.
What about you? How are you?

I was the same way I was always measuring big. It was b/c I had so much water. This time I am 13 weeks adn I am still ahead. My son was only 5 pound it was great they say that if you carry more water then you have a good chance of having a small baby

ReRe78 - Thursday, 25 September
I was measuring 4 weeks ahead also at my last 2 appts, but she said that is normal for mommies that already have children since the uterus has already stretched. On a good note she gave me another u/s to measure baby girl so I got to see her two months in a row
