My daughter is 10, she'll be 11 a month after my due date- I didn't plan this pregnancy!! Her name is Lillian Grace but we call her Lilli. She is very excited about the baby but being a big sister myself I fear that won't last long. He also has a son that will be 13 when the baby is born-- he is not so happy.

I originally told my bf if it's a boy he could name it then as time went on I decided I had to have the power of veto - his son is Tyler Blaze & it's just not the style I like. Tyler is ordinary & blaze to me is odd.

Anyway, my big u/s isn't this Friday but next (19th @ 940) & I am so excited I cannot wait to see the baby again much less find out exactly who is inside me, - although it doesn't matter. I am hoping it helps w/our name problem. Of course daddy wants another boy (don't most men) I think he is just afraid of being wrapped if it's a girl-- which he will be wrapped either way, but I will just let him be in denial for now!!

Your belly is so small- u r very lucky. People are already thinking I am due any day & it's kinda depressing when they keep going on & on about how BIG I am- don't they realize I am hormonal & they r just being mean. But I was big w/Lilli to so I guess that's just how I carry- lucky me!!

I don't know about picking a name that could possibly end up being a relative- I guess that could go either way. Being your sister's son is a bit close but passing up on a name you like is a big sacrifice. Do ya'll plan on having more kids? You might wanna c how sister & boyfriend turn out first. I just think it would be weird having 2 kids in a close family w/the same name. What does your sister think?

Your u/s pics are wonderful- it sure is a little boy- what a great moment when u not only hear what it is but can also definitely c it so clearly.

Congrats again and thanks for all the kind words. oh- they changed my due date by one day- I don't know how much faith I put in the actual due date but I was shocked they even bothered changing it for a one day difference.

Thank you. I guess I don't look too different from what you see now, except my flat tummy is usually my best feature. haha. Normally, my bra is far from that full and my butt has also expanded a bit. I've gained about 8 or 9 lbs - which is okay, pretty much in line (or even a little less) than what the average weight gain is for 19 weeks. Weight is the last thing I'm worried about that's for sure.

Your pictures are great! You've got such a cute little baby bump! And, you're little boy is adorable. What a great picture of him with his mouth open! Wow! Between both U/S we had, we never saw our girl open her mouth. She put her hands up to her face at one point, but no smiles or laughs. Maybe she'll keep that mouth zipped when she comes out too?? ha, I doubt it.

So, I'm wearing a cute maternity top today and it really enhances my prego look. I'm getting tons of compliments from my friends here at work and it has even promoted some belly touching - which I'm fine with when it comes to them. Strangers on the other hand better keep 2 steps back and certainly better not try touching without asking! (perfect use of the ninja face if I don't say so myself. haha)

How are you feeling these days? I can't say I'm much different - I still get nausea once in a while so I haven't even attempted to go off the zofran yet. I'll give it another week and maybe I'll try again. It's not so bad though - I can totally tolerate this. My small meals/constant snacking definitely helps my nausea and indigestion. So I'm thinking this might be my most comfortable time period before the grand ol' 3rd trimester!

omg - amazing! Look at him laughing. :)

 What a cute belly!!

I cannot believe ya'll have already picked 13 boy names- every boy name I have suggested has quickly been rejected. I have one that I have decided on, unless he comes up with something better that we both like. We also only agree on one girls name, but that doesnt mean i havent been suggesting new ones. It seems like our taste are opposite when it comes to names. I dont want 5 other children in my kids class w/the same name & he likes very common names. Then again i have a common name and he doesnt so we both want the opposite for our child- weird! Anyway, when u see his face for the first time u will know exactly which name is best for him, hopefully u will both agree on the same one! If not daddy will b so dazed by it all for the first few days he'll agree w/almost anything u will say! Men r so funny after childbirth its hilarious - i guess its not really real to them until they see the baby where women lose that early on during the morning sickness & all. Well, hope everything continues to go well for you- will let'cha know after my big u/s how it goes. I cant wait to know who is in there!

mLoBaby09 - Monday, 8 December
I really like the name Jude! I have a very good association with that name too - a boy I went to middle school and high school with. He's the only Jude I've ever known but he was a great kid, very popular and very handsome. If your sister doesn't mind, I would say go for it if you like it best. What does your sister's boyfriend think (or does he care)?

That is SO funny that you had it narrowed down to 12 names! omg, me and Rob played around with about 3 different names and we keep coming back to Haley. When I think about testing out an alternate name, I feel like it's not right to not call her Haley. It's weird.

I cannot see your 19 week belly pic. This website is struggling lately - especially with the photo galleries. Your timing is funny to because I have today off as a vacation day from work and I just took photos of my belly this morning. . I definitely feel like I'm showing, but I still get lots of people saying "You're so small." My sweaters and clothes still conceal my belly pretty well. One day we're going to really pop and I hope we don't get stretchmarks if it happens really quick.

I was also thinking about how all those old wives tales can be put to rest when it comes to figuring out the gender. Our pregnancies have been so similar, and here we are - you with a boy and me with a girl. Tons of people have told me "since you're so sick you're having a girl". They think they were right, but I sickness or not isn't a good indicator and you're the perfect example of that. I did do the chinese calendar thing to see what that predicted for me and it said girl also. Again, I think that's a coincidence. Over the weekend me and Rob have used the word "daughter" in conversations and it is just too cool. It's strange but in a really neat way! Like referring to your husband as "husband" right after you're married. Weird but nice! haha

Congrats! I cannot believe you already know its boy- I have 13 more days until I find out what we are getting. I am so excited for you, do you have a name picked out already? We are having a hard time with a boy name, but I am not going to worry unless it's a boy. Besides, we still have a long time to go! I hope your nausea & indigestion is better- my doc told me to take pepcid ac for my indigestion/heart burn & it has worked wonders. I still get sick daily but its a small sacrifice for such a wonderful miracle! Welcome to week 19! Hope all is well & congratulations again on your little boy!!!

secondtry - Saturday, 6 December
Hey I was reading your comment about your baby kicking and moving but not feeling it because of the location of placenta. AND I never thought of that...or knew it! My placenta is low lying currently..and I have been wondering why I have not felt anything yet..but he is also so active in the ultrasounds! So did the dr say this is so...or have you just figured it out? Interesting!

mLoBaby09 - Friday, 5 December
What an exciting week this has been for us both! Monumental.

Thank you for the compliment on Haley. I have never really met a Haley before either, although I did just catch up with an old friend from high school (on Facebook) and she has a daughter named Haley (I found that out AFTER me and Rob talked about it). So i know of one, but don't really know one. haha. I will check out that site - thanks! We have several more months ahead, so anything can happen - we just might find another name that total strikes us. We'll see.

btw, I grew up with a Leigh! haha, it's been about 20 years since I've seen her and I don't know what ever happened to her. She lived in my neighborhood, but she was a couple years older than me. That's a really pretty name. My name is not very common either (Meredith), and I do like that about it and like you said - it's fun running into another "Meredith".

mLoBaby09 - Friday, 5 December
We both like the name Haley (or Hayley, or Haylie... I dunno), but we were really waiting for this day to give it more thought. I just told my Mom that i liked this name and her response was "its popular". I've been warned, and I'm going to heed the advice, and we will probably not tell anyone for sure until the girl is born. People will be way less opinionated once it is set in stone. sheeeesh.

It seems like something funky is going on with my photos. The ones I had posted already have little red x's in them... but it looks like my U/S pics from today are up there. wierd.

mLoBaby09 - Friday, 5 December
THANK YOU!!! Our U/S pics from today are up on my page.

mLoBaby09 - Friday, 5 December
It's a GIRL! I put up a blog as well so you can check out the details. My instincts were right! Ahhh - this feeling is so amazing! What a great appointment! I'm feeling baby-obsessed now too. It's all I want to think and dream about!

The general consensus on our site was girl, but not by much. We had 22 votes - 12 for girl and 10 for boy. Pretty funny. Now we'll wait and see who comes closest to the birth date, weight and height.

Hope you and your little boy are having a good day today!!!

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

mLoBaby09 - Thursday, 4 December
I remember that 'walking on air' feeling after I had my U/S on 10/31... but I know this one is going to be much more intense! Less than 24 hours to go! Our appointment is for 8:30 a.m. tomorrow! Gosh, I read some of the posts about the other girls who didn't get to find out the gender, because of the umbilical cord being in the way, or the legs were crossed. I REALLY hope that is not the case for me. I mean, I know the purpose of this ultrasound is mainly to make sure everything looks okay for the baby and that is extremely important - but finding out the gender is SO exciting. It's a big deal! Okay, I'm going to just think positive thoughts that it will work out!

I really am 50/50 on my preference of boy vs. girl. I just have that strong instinct about the girl. But then again I had that vivid dream it was a boy. What will prevail - my instincts or my dream?? We shall see! I can totally understand wanting the relationship and witnessing childhood through a little boys eyes - of course that is so different for us being girls and all (despite the fact that matchbox cars were one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. ). I have 2 neices and a nephew already - so that doesn't come in to play for me either. Ahhhh - I just want to know so I can relate better with my little one and figure out the names and the nursery, and it will make my dreams seems so much more real. Pregnancy is finally extraordinarily exciting!!

mLoBaby09 - Wednesday, 3 December
OMG! YAY! A BABY BOY!!! I'm so happy for you guys! I'm so glad to hear you had such a great ultrasound appointment and now you have me 10x more excited and anxious for Friday to get here!! Isn't it amazing to see your little boy flipping and wiggling and playing! Awwwwww!

That's really funny how you talked about your dreams about a boy and your dreams about a girl and then having to let one of those go. Wow, that makes me sad. Not that I want twins (oh HECK no) but given my age, how rough this pregnancy has been, how expensive daycare is, etc. I think this is my one shot. I know i'll be happy either way - but I have really felt like I'm having a girl. If it turns out to be a boy, I'm going to need to adopt a lot of new fantasies!

I'm glad you are feeling better too! I would say keep up with that acupuncture for now because it does seem to make a difference for you.

Wow, it's now like I wasn't expecting your news, but I'm still in a bit of shock and so happy for you!! You saw your little boy! Amazing! Man, is it still Wednesday?!? The hours are dragging!

cmeblueyes - Tuesday, 2 December
Congratulations on your baby boy! I had an appointment today and judging from the heart rate my midwife says boy but we will see. I have my sonogram on the 15th but we aren't going to find out what we are having. I want to be suprised this time. Congrats again!

avaann - Monday, 1 December
Thanks to everyone who commented about our name. I know y'all are my computer buddies, but I value YOUR opinion more than anyone else's, really! Thank you all SO SO much!! XO!

mLoBaby09 - Monday, 1 December
oh yeah, I'm still dealing with the nausea. I was quite queasy on Thanksgiving. We almost had to pull over on the drive to my Dad's house because I was so nervous about getting sick all over myself. Luckily I worked through it, got to my Dad's and just started snacking away. Eating almost always makes me feel better - so long as the zofran is in my system. Otherwise, nothing helps. I just refilled the prescription today. I can probably deal with this, even if it lasts my entire pregnancy, as long as I have the zofran to keep the edge off. When I take the zofran (just one 4mg pill a day) I don't vomit. I do have days where the nausea is much less. THere seems to be no rhyme or reason behind it. One of my very good friends was sick until her 5th month and then overnight it just dissapeared. There's still hope for us.

On the other hand, i feel like I have been able to control my indigestion by just eating small meals. If I eat too much at once I am absolutely miserable... with indigestion and bloating and a very tight uncomfortable belly. Since I snack a lot throughout the day (because that helps with the nausea), it makes it easier to eat the smaller meals. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my stomach is growling though. I need to keep some crackers by my bed again. I hope your acupuncturist is able to help you again. Now that you have all that traveling behind you, hopefully you can concentrate on getting back to your routines and feeling better.

How exciting that your big U/S day is tomorrow! Omg, I'm so excited for you. Are you going to share the news on this website, or keep that between you and your husband? I'm so curious to know what your having too! haha. Most of our friends and family are dying to know so we've decided to share it with everyone. As soon as I find out, I am going to be referring to the baby as a he or she (whichever it is) so I bet I'd have a hard time keeping it a secret. Our big day is Friday - I can't wait. We'll be so disappointed if we can't find out. I hope the baby is really active. I was feeling tons of flutters over the last week, but the past few days have been pretty quiet. It's hard not to worry, but I've heard from several sources that it is common to go a day or so without feeling the flutters (especially this early on).

Welcome home and I hope you are having a good day too!

thenorthcutts - Wednesday, 26 November
To everyone in the States I just wanted to wish you an early Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope you eats lots and have fun with family :]

mLoBaby09 - Tuesday, 25 November
I'm go glad to hear you've been feeling good while down there in Cuba (for the most part). I hope it's the beginning of you feeling better for the rest of the pregnancy and I hope that heartburn settles down too. My indigestion issues haven't been bad at all lately (knocking on wood) and I have only had 2 experiences with very mild heartburn, so for that I'm grateful. Hwwever, I am still battling the nausea. I really thought I had reached a point where I was getting passed it, but every time I stop taking the zofran, it totally sets me back. I have vomited a couple days within the last week. Last Friday I skipped the pill and then Saturday (as usual) I felt terribly nauseas, vomitted, but still tried to hold out and not take the pill. Sunday was the same... totally nauseas. Yesterday, the same and I took the zofran. Today I'm slightly better, but still having nausea. Ugh - I was really hoping this would've been gone by now as I get ready to enter week 18! This is nuts.

To offset my discomfort though, I have been feeling tons of flutters! Just about every day. Even last night (when I couldn't sleep) I was feeling the little butterfly bouncing around inside my belly - it lasted for several minutes! I can't really feel anything from the outside (my husband can't wait to feel it!), but there is definitely a party going on inside. It makes the nausea a little more tolerable!

My next U/S is Friday 12/5 and we REALLY want to know the sex. I will be so dissapointed if the baby doesn't cooperate. I will be drinking a large OJ before my appointment (that supposedly gets the little one wiggling) so there is a better chance of getting a glimpse. What day is your U/S? I bet you are counting down the minutes! Are you secretly hoping for one sex vs. the other? I have to say, I've always had the feeling that I'm having a girl, but either way I'll be psyched. My husband really wants a boy. I have a little banner image on my profile page from ExpectNet.com - it's a cool little website where our family members and close friends have tried to guess the gender, birthdate, weight, etc. You should check it out. Just go to the site and enter the game name: Baby-Olints. There's nothing to win, just bragging rights.

I hope you had a safe trip home and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving and feel good enough to eat lots of food!

mLoBaby09 - Thursday, 20 November
Hi there... how are you doing?

I'm so glad to be home from my conference... it was just as exhausting as I thought it would be (although we are always exhausted every year, so it's not so much because of my condition). So Tuesday was my longest, craziest day... but I felt really good all day long. I didn't take my pill and I didn't have one wave of nausea all day. I thought the magical day had finally arrived.... until the next morning (Wed)! OMG, I woke up, sat up in bed, and without any warning vomit came up my throat! I ran into the bathroom and I couldn't even make it to the sink - I spewed all over the sink, counter, faucets, mirror... ugh. It was mostly clear/water (easy clean up), but still. (Sorry for the TMI). I'm so glad that didn't happen during one of my meetings - I had no warning at all!! weird. Despite that morning horror, I only had a couple waves of nausea the rest of the day. Today is the same, I'm not feeling perfect, but I'm feeling an improvement. The waves of nausea are getting less.

Other than that, my doctors appointment on Monday was fine. My doctor picked up the HB right away and I loved it! I also had some blood work done (Quad screening) which will test for a few things and let us know the odd/risks of our baby having down syndrome. I'm not too worried about that.

I hope you are doing well. I can't remember when you were leaving for Cuba. You might be there now... which if that is the case I hope you're having a good week and feeling great.
