carlsonlove757 - Wednesday, 10 December Col-I am so sorry that that damn lady treats you that way. Can you get a different specialist, or is she recommended by your ped? That must be a horrible feeling. On the bright said, Edwin is gaining! Yeah for him! My MIL had Breast Cancer and it is not an easy thing to deal with. I sincerely hope that your mother does not have it and you all do not have to go through that experience. Just stay positive, I think it really does make a difference.
BethSilva - Wednesday, 10 December Hey coli... I was out sick yesterday so I just saw your post about your mom... OMG I'm so sorry, I will I will be praying for her. Try and be strong for her sake. I know it's hard. ttyl xoxo-Beth
ladobruk - Wednesday, 10 December So sorry about your Mom. My Mom has struggled with a number of serious illnesses over the past 5 years. It is tough. Hang in there. By the way, I just noticed Edwin's middle name. I am not sure how I overlooked that when I read your birth story but what a cool name. Atticus...where did you come up with it or is it after someone?
kbpc3949 - Monday, 8 December You do? No one ever tells me that. All they ever say is he looks just like Paul. I think it's b/c he has blue eyes. Paul's eyes aren't that blue though.
bluebeanz - Monday, 8 December Yaaay that Edwin is gaining weight! Fingers crossed that it will continue! I have received a tremendous amount of support from the kellymom.com website in regards to breastfeeding. It is common for babies to go long stretches without eating. What's important it the 24 hour period. When many moms go back to work for instance, a lot of their babies will do what is called "reverse cycling" where they will drink less during the day and wait until mom is home to breastfeed and get their milk. This is completely ok. and healthy. What matters is the amount of milk they get in a 24 hour period. Not when in that period that they do get it. I know you are not working yet and you are home but it could apply here too if he is busy doing other things now. He might be less interested now that he's interacting more with his environment. There's so much to see and do! I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure he is just fine! Also, did you check out this website (that another member here posted): http://www.trixietracker.com/ It's awesome! You get 2 weeks to try it unlimited. You get access to sleep, nursing, solids, etc. and you can record when/what their eating, when they're sleeping, etc. It finds patterns for you, shows you graphs with the data, among many other things. I found it helpful to make changes in Claire's eating and sleeping habits. It's really helped me! After 2 weeks I think you can still use the website but it is limited. I'm not sure what you get to use then... but anyway, it's worth checking out and trying! Good luck and I hope things keep getting better for you and Edwin!
Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.
carlsonlove757 - Thursday, 4 December I hope that he will be ok. I wonder what the correlation is between the two. Like, if one causes the other or if it's just a symptom of the other. If he has the surgery is it guaranteed that he will be ok?
carlsonlove757 - Wednesday, 3 December I am so sorry, I haven't been following the forum lately, but just noticed that Edwin has an issue with his kidneys??? How did this all start? I wasn't aware that anything was wrong? I did see your comments to mom2boy about the retraction of the foreskin, but didn't really put it all together. I hope that he is ok. From what I have read, I think I would have the surgery done as well.
merseyloo1 - Tuesday, 2 December My gosh, poor little guy. Well I really hope he overcomes this. I bet it's good to finally know what is going on with him. I'll put you both in my prayers for a healthy recovery and future.
aplace4myhead - Tuesday, 2 December I have AIM... I'll get my s/n to you when I get off work and am at home. :)
aplace4myhead - Tuesday, 2 December No, I don't think you are being irrational. Honestly I wish they would give Trystian the surgery now instead of later sometimes because I just want him to be ok, and not have to take yucky meds every day... I understand why they do it this way tho. They don't want to do anistesia (SP?) too early in their lives if they don't have to... They want our babies to have the best chances, and they recommend waiting till 1 year of age to put children to sleep for a procedure. I hate the daily meds, but I will do whatever it takes to make sure my LO is going to be healthy, and not get sick/hurt. Look on the bright side tho, They could very well do a VCUG in a year and see that Edwin's Reflux is 2's... That would be great, that means it's going away on it's own. :) Who knows, maybe your LO started out with 4's, or 5's at birth and never found out about the reflux till just now and it's a 3, so it is getting better. That's always a possibility. This is a hard subject I know, but hearing what the experts in the field want to do, as they have dealt with this many times before, they might actually see that holding off on surgery is best, and if it was truely that bad, they would most likely do surgery right away... Edwin will be fine, and I'm always here to talk... You can always catch me on my myspace with emails too, and that being the case, I have myspace IM, and skype...
princess82 - Tuesday, 2 December My babies were 5-7 and 5-4.
crazyeights - Tuesday, 2 December They did the test for reflux and it came back okay but they will watch it for awhile. Are you going to have the surgery done??

lovingmytoddler - Monday, 1 December I read your message on the 19 month page. My daughter loves to build stuff with her legos (they have them for babies too), she also loves her ballpit, it's like a big pool with alot balls in it. And it has a slide. They sell it at toys r us. Run about 40.00 to 65.00's. She loves her elmo cell phone. She has this thing about pressing buttons.LOL Her toys consist dolls tat sing, her vacuume popper, and the sing along ride and go toys. She has one where she an push it or ride on. Oh she is getting the newer toy that came out that she sits on a horse and there is a video that you pop in, while the horse jumps up on the video, the toy jumps up. If the video spins, the horse will spin It's really cool. Forgot the name of it though. If you're interested I'll get the name of it.
