Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Hi there! I saw your post on the 14-month board. My son's not talking yet either, but I don't think it's a cause for concern yet . I found the following info at Babycenter:By 16 months, your toddler will probably start making many common consonant sounds, such as t, d, n, w, and h. Learning to make these sounds is a watershed event, one that leads to the rapid vocabulary spurt that most children go through starting around 18 months. andSome signs to look out for:

12 to 18 months -
Your child isn't saying any words by 15 months (including 'mama' or 'dada'), didn't babble before his first birthday, is unable to point to any body parts, or you still can't understand a word he's saying by 18 months. My son only says Mama and Dada, but he babbles a lot and makes lots of different sounds in an effort to make himself understood. Plus his comprehension is good and he knows tons of vocabulary without being able to say the words himself. Is it a similar situation with your daughter? I imagine their speech will come together over the coming months and won't really be concerned unless it hasn't improved by 18 months.

Dear friends, just wanted to let you know I am now back from Hawaii. We had a wonderful trip. My whole husband's family from the mainland met us there and we really enjoyed our time together. My highlight was watching my son play with his older cousins - followed by swimming with dolphins. The week went way too fast.

Also wanted to let everyone know that we have decided to move back to the states to be closer to family. It has been something we have considered for a while and made the decision just before our trip. Our family was of course excited about the news. We plan to move back next July. That also means no BD this month or next month as I can't be over a certain amount of weeks when flying.

It is still hard for me to imagine I will ever be pregnant again and have more children, but at this point I do have peace about it. I know it is in God's hands, the best hands possible.

Love and hugs to everyone - and I will try to get around to responding to the 70 posts on my page.

God bless,
Karin

Dear friends, just wanted to let you all know I won't be online the next 10 days. We are going to Hawaii. We are meeting up with my husband's family there which will be really nice. We are looking forward to some time away and some time together. I am otherwise doing okay and feel as though I can appreciate life so much more again - particularly my son. I feel very blessed. I am also blessed to have you all as my friends. Take care and talk soon. Love, Karin

Dear friends

I have made an online 'pregnancy loss and support' survey and would be extremely thankful for anyone taking the time to answer it. My aim is to use the information to create a pamphlet that will equip friends and family to be more supportive after a pregnancy loss.

http://www.esurveyspro.com/Survey.aspx?id=0bdea02b-43a0-45fd-9a59-a54cbf0d4442

Please forward this to any of your friends who you think might be able to help.

Thanks again.

Love,
Karin

Dear friends, first my apologies for not responding to any of your messages the last few days. Life has been very hectic lately and by now I have 62 messages waiting for me

Anyway, wanted to let you all know I had my ultrasound yesterday. The doctor did an internal one and everything looked fine so I was very relieved. I am so glad I got it done. My lining looked normal and he could tell I had ovulated from my left ovary a few days ago, just like I thought. It is just nice to get confirmed there is nothing bad left in there and all seems to be working normally.

Also wanted to let you know I had my first acupuncture appointment on Saturday. The lady specializes in infertility and has a very high success rate. She basically explained that we need to regulate the blood flow, the hormones and nerves and that will increase the health of my eggs and make my uterus lining stronger. A few of you have asked if it hurt. The answer is yes! I didn't expect that and so was quite surprised. The needles are so thin it is hard to imagine they would cause any pain but one in my left foot hurt the whole 10 min the treatment lasted. She told me afterwards that is the area connected to conception (she used other words though) and that it is 'good' that it is hurting. It means there is something off balance and it needs fixing so we are on the right track. It was overall a good experience, not weird in any way.

Again, thanks for all the messages I have received lately and sorry I haven't responded yet. I am working on it

Love,
Karin

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Dear friends, I just wanted to let you all know that I had my doctor appointment yesterday. It was rather disappointing. He didn't consider my cycles unusual even though they are unusual for me. I asked if there is anything that can be done to increase my fertility and he said he doesn't think I have fertility issues being I have been able to get pregnant... The only thing I got out of it and only because I kept pushing is an ultrasound referral just to make sure nothing bad is left in there. He was otherwise so non-caring and I left rather depressed. The hospital has even send him personal letters about what happened with me and our baby and about future treatments and he has never read a single one.

Okay, just had to vent!

Hope you are all well.
Love,
Karin

Dear friends, I just wanted to update you and let you all know that this wasn't my month. Even though I have tried to be more relaxed about it all this month it is still hard not to be disappointed when there is nothing you want more than to be pregnant. I sure wonder if it will ever happen! I also wonder if I should see a doctor about my cycles. I have had 5 cycles since the loss and they have all been irregular (both in length and amount of bleeding). If anyone has any advice or experience, I would appreciate it. Should I see a doctor or just give it more time? Anyway, hope you are all well.

Love,
Karin

Thanks for your comment. We are on day 5 of this virus, but I do think he's getting better. I'll have to check out your page once he's doing well.

thank you so much...I guess miracles do happen!!! congrats on your new little one...

Dannie - Wednesday, 6 August
at least you lost 13 pounds from delivering your baby, I only lost eight! On top of that, my clothes fit tigther going home from the hospital than when I went in to deliever! LOL! Go figure! I was so anticipating putting on my clothes and having them fall off, but that didn't quite happen! Next time around there is no way I am going to let myself gain 50 lbs.

Dannie - Wednesday, 6 August
Have you noticed that even though you are so close to your prepregnancy weight it seems as if you have to lose a little extra to look just as good? My motivation to look my ultimate best is in the fall I plan to go shopping for a new wardrobe- I need to graduate from all of my "junior" clothes and start wearing clothes that are more mature and put together; I want to be a cute, put together, stylish, mommy!

Dannie - Wednesday, 6 August
LOL! I guess that is one way to look at gaining 50 lbs- No one has ever congratulated me on gaining 50 pounds! hahaha

Dannie - Wednesday, 6 August
beautiful pictures of your daughter on her profile page. I love the ducky costume and wig picture.

Dannie - Wednesday, 6 August
I just read your post about losing weight after breastfeeding and that is what happened to me- I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy, lost 20, but got stuck- As soon as I stopped pumping (my son wouldn't latch) I dropped the remaining 30- So it really is true that some women don't lose weight while breastfeeding!

roosa - Thursday, 17 July
I am so glad to hear your friend is pregnant again! And glad to hear my information was able to help your friendship. I am actually considering writing a little pamphlet about how to be a friend to someone who miscarried. We'll see.

Thanks for your well wishes. I sure long to be pregnant.

Take care!
Karin

I don't think you will loose it any faster once you stop breastfeeding. It takes 9 months to gain that weight so don't get frustrated because if you are eating healthy and excersize it should take at least 9 months to loose that weight. But I do stress excersize. I find walking and lots of it will help.
