I had my sweep yesterday and it was more painful than an internal. I have nerve endings all the way up there though so that could be why it hurt so bad. All it has done so far is give me BAD backache and cramps. I also bled a little after wards and have had a lot of mucus. Actually I am at the point where I am wondering if it is amniotic fluid or not that is how much there is. I wish you all the best with everything and don't worry about the sweep. you will get through it ok.

I was so hoping that you were in real labor. I want all of us to be done with this! Have you had a membrane sweep before? If not, don't worry about it. I have had two and they are just uncomfortable. Not painful. Good luck.

I am also having long bouts of contractions that result in NOTHING. I've never been so frustrated and I wouldn't wish this upon anybody. It's so annoying feeling for every little contractions or pain and then wondering if that was a real one or not, only to have them completely stop within hours. I had contractions 5 mins apart for about a day and a half that never got stronger and then suddenly they stopped. This morning it did it again for about 4 hours, and now I've got nothing again. I can't believe what a rollercoaster this is. Hopefully we will both be in natural labor within a day. I don't want to be induced but am scheduled for Thursday night/Friday morning. Good luck and I'm thinking laborious thoughts for everyone that is over due

I think I am going to go crazy, but I am getting induced tomorrow. I am just so frustrated with my body for not going into labour naturally!!! My Dr. said I am 100% effaced and 2 cm dialated- I have had my cervix stripped 3 times and nothing!!! They are estimating my baby boy at 9lbs! It is so frustrating! So, that is me......how are you doing? What are their plans with you?

yeah, I'm definitely waiting too and feel your pain. I'm feeling ok mostly, but sleep is getting harder, my feet hurt, I'm feeling so fat and missing my old body, and I'm constantly hungry but don't really want to eat! How are you feeling?? Hopefully we will both go soon so we can feel like ourselves again!! Make sure and keep us all updated!

lol i know the feeling. Everyone else seems to b goin into labour or gettin induced. I hav the hospital on monday to hav my contractions monitored and to get a date to b induced. Hey girl, don't feel bad at all. I went to see my doctor on Monday. He said I have progressed more, so he pushed back my induction date to the 8th. I was going to go on the 2nd "IF" I didn't progress from week 39, but I did. He said with more progress the easier the induction would be. So I will be having my baby girl FINALLY on the 8th. Tuesday cannot come fast enough. This has been my slowest week out of the entire pregnancy! LOL
Hey I really thought you had your baby, because I am used to seeing your post at least once a day!
So I'm glad to see you back, and don't worry my baby is still up floating around. I guess what we expect at the end really doesn't always turn out the way we imagined it.
There is an end in sight, though we will be having our babies next week if we don't go on our own in the meantime !!! Keep in touch as I will do the same !!

don,t worry about the pads in the hospital they have some huge ones, and once you get home your bleeding is like a normal period. at least thats what happened to me.don't worry about everything!!!!enjoy and the nurses will help you if you need it......

I think the word 'sterile' gets misused a lot. I mean, nothing really stays sterile. All you can do is keep things as clean as possible but the baby's going to be putting unsterile things in his mouth all the time. Your hands aren't sterile, at least they won't be all the time. So I wouldn't worry about it. My friend told me the other day that she stopped sterilizing everything when she saw her baby licking the floor and realized that the world isn't a very sterile place.

I was all about sterilizing with my first and then was like whatever with the 2nd one. They both are very healthy kids. I would say sterilize it and then put them in a storage bag or something like that and you should be fine. You can always rinse the bottle again when you actually use it at the hospital. I only used the hospital stuff when I was there.

Just read ur comment on the 39wks pregnant page and i agree. I am sooo sick of people constantly askn if ive popped yet or askn wen hes actualy goin to come out as if im supposed to no. A friend of mine fones me about 8 or 9 times A DAY to c if ive popped yet. Its got the the stage where i reject her calls or jst keep my fone off so i dnt hav to spk to her. Anyway gd luck with the rest of ur pregnancy n i hope ur labour is a fast 1

Even more annoying than 'haven't you had that baby yet?' are those people (almost always men it seems) who can't help but comment on your size: 'wow, you're huge!' My husband's stupid uncle actually made penguin sounds at me, then told me the pregnancy was all in my head. ?? But don't worry, soon the dumb pregnancy comments will end, and be replaced by nosy parenting comments!

hi, motherhood is great,wierd.... ha, doesn't really feel like much has changed, she is so good, she sleeps all day wakes up every 3 hours,cries to let me know she wants feeding or changing, then quiet again,i sometimes forget she is here ,i'm sure it will get harder. no signs yet then eh... get eating hot curries or have sex.... ha that might bring it on. good luck xxx

Family members can drive me nuts too. And I hate it when people smoke around me because I'm way too chicken to tell them not to. My mom smokes like a chimney and I have no idea how I'm going to handle visiting her. She would never smoke in my house, but she would NEVER NOT smoke in hers. I understand, but it means I won't be bringing the baby over for very long visits.
