Kimbee003 - Tuesday, 18 Mar I try to laugh about my stretch marks, because there is nothing that i can do about them. 90% of women get them, mine are on my sides and inner thighs, and on my hamstrings. They are pretty ugly. The ones on my side just showed up like 2 weeks ago, the rest i have had since i was like 6 months. My best friend didn't get any until AFTER her baby was born, so i am hoping that this is it!! i will probably never wear shorts again, much less a bikini!! :(
momagain - Tuesday, 18 Mar Adele, I've been trying to find out if the baby is realyl active before or during labor, myself - nobody seems to remember or know. My boy is moving all the time - ALL THE TIME. it makes me think he's not coming any time soon - I'd really like to know, as things with my daughter were very different.
Jo-Mama - Monday, 17 Mar I had really super regular cycles, so even though the ultrasound hinted more toward an April 3rd baby, my period dates say March 31. We stuck with March 31. But if I go late, I won't be surprised.
aderyn3 - Monday, 17 Mar Hi there! My cycles are always a bit long, so my due dates are usually off from that. Plus, my kids have all had big heads, and that threw off my OB. With my first, per my dates, I was due Oct.31. By ultrasound, they bumped me up to Oct.22 because of her big head. I ended up 'going over' and being induced the 30th and had her the 31st anyway. I've had a midwife these last 3 times, and she's always adjusted for my cycle, and we were within a few days each time. Good luck!
bubsno.4ishere - Monday, 17 Mar My due date is 31st, given to me by scan, but like you if i go by last period(19th june)my due date was 25th march, and i had pretty regular preiods, so i'm kinda hoping bubs might come then!!!
emmz84 - Friday, 14 Mar hey chick, thanks for the post, dont u worry about the pain, it'l all go away once u hold ur baby in your arms, i went thru the pain of contractions, they were every minute before i went into theatre!! its not that bad... u soon forget.... oh think she wants a feed she is staring to cry, well good luck chick, keep me posted. xx
Kimbee003 - Thursday, 13 Mar your face doesn't look that fat at all. granted i didn't know you before you were pregnant! I think my face has goten fatter too, it sucks :( But everyone says it will melt away after the baby. who knows, i personally think that you have to bust your ass to get back to the way you were.
Jo-Mama - Tuesday, 11 Mar I had a headache for a few days last week and I was constantly thirsty. Both could be caused by dehydration. I chug water all day now and I feel better.
bridgepooh - Tuesday, 11 Mar i have been feeling thirsty. i keep thinking am dyhydrated. dont know what cause that. are you swollen. i havent had any body part swollen yet. but i notice this week i have a fat looking feet. so i must be storing water. so that might exlain the thirstiness
emmz84 - Sunday, 9 Mar thankyou for your post. i have now updated my profile with details of the birth and pics, beware i have put a pic of my scar....
chrissykaila - Saturday, 8 Mar I wouldn't worry about not feeling any Braxton Hicks...I haven't felt a single one either and my doctor says that not everyone does. The contractions are either overly nice to us or the baby's movement occurs during them so we don't really feel them.
Jo-Mama - Wednesday, 5 Mar My midwife said the the mucous plug looks like snot and it's really stretchy. If you touched it, it could stretch really far! Kinda gross. Two of my friends noticed the loss of the plug when wiping after a pee. They said it really did look like a big blob of snot (much thicker than normal discharge).
lil-ole-me - Tuesday, 4 Mar I agree - it is funny! I get a bulge in the front, just to the left of my belly button, and then a sharp appendage, heel or knee or something, that juts out of my right side! And it is uncomfortable... baby does it over and over again! At least 3-4 times a day. No stretch marks here, I've been lucky - though my belly button has dismayed me, it is stretched so tight it is really brown! And I get lots of long yucky hairs that grow around it... :) Oh the joys!!
Jo-Mama - Monday, 3 Mar When I see my midwife, she feels my belly and can tell which position the baby is in. That's how I know he/she is head down. Though this baby has been head down from the very beginning. Smart one, I figure.
Jo-Mama - Monday, 3 Mar Maybe the babies are just stretching out as much as they can, so they can drop and still kick the ribs at the same time. I know that I have been feeling more movements down low recently, which I haven't felt in weeks. Sometimes it seems like there's an octopus in there.
Jo-Mama - Monday, 3 Mar You might have started to drop a bit. I'm still getting my ribs kicked all the time, so baby is high. My midwife did feel (from the outside) that my baby's head is starting to move into my pelvis, but just the top of it. She figures I have lots of time before baby shows up.
Jo-Mama - Monday, 3 Mar I live in Canada and we don't get all the info that the Americans get, but I'm kinda happy about it. I think if you know all those little details, you'll just get anxious and paranoid. I'd rather just be checked when necessary. I have a midwife and my appointments are about an hour long, mostly just spent chatting about what's coming up. She checks my fundal height, we listen to the heart beat, she takes my blood pressure, and I test my urine for protein and sugar. But she's never done an internal and I've only have a couple of ultrasounds. I prefer it this way. It keeps me from obsessing about things.
lil-ole-me - Monday, 3 Mar Well, it isn't all of the US doctors... I feel the same way as you! I'm seeing a midwife, so maybe that is the difference. I suppose that we should consider ourselves lucky not to be poked and prodded and have to get undressed every time we go for an appointment, but I'm jealous of the folks who know their baby's weight, and if they are dialated... A lot of those people I think are high risk too, and that is why they get so many extra checks. We must just be coming along perfectly, so there isn't a need - at least that's what I keep telling myself! :)
hennessey631 - Monday, 3 Mar HI, last week was the first week my Dr even looked down there, and that was because she did the Strep B test on me. it wasnt fun being seen with no clothes on, i tend to shy away from the mirrors these days.lol but im the same as you and im in Florida, my Dr said she doesnt check if i am dialated until i have Contractions which i havent had any so, i dont know. you are not alone. :) a few more weeks left to go. im getting so nervous, how about you?
makingroomfor3 - Monday, 3 Mar I've been told that the baby is considered full term at 37 weeks; also, I'm from the US, but my doctor will not check for dilation either until I show signs of labor. I guess every doctor is different in the US.
momagain - Tuesday, 26 Feb I have a lot of kicking on my right side - does that mean anything in particular?
Jo-Mama - Friday, 15 Feb I can't breathe at all. I feel like a dog in heat - I'm always panting. Real attractive. My iron levels are perfect and I eat really well and I get enough exercise, it's just that baby is pressing up against my diaphragm. I feel like there's no room inside.
jeanette2908 - Friday, 15 Feb I have really bad heartburn and nausea too. My doc told me to take Zantac (Over the counter). It REALLY HELPS alot!!
whitneyc - Friday, 15 Feb I have a hard time breathing at times-- it's like I can't catch my breath or get enough oxygen in. It can make me lightheaded. Make sure you're getting enough iron. I started taking a supplement and I really think it has helped.
