Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. hi erica hows baby isabella doing.any gud news on weaning or feeding habits.my boy is still on every 2 hrs feed he is 5 months old,i started giving baby rice n fruite puree once in day only,he loves it but still feeing every 2 hrs.
and i want to ask one more thing my baby gets up too much at nite with colic he crying untill he passes the wind.it occurs only in nite time...any idea how to deal with it.hope Isabella is doing great on feeding department,hows her weight.mine is 7 kg

It may help some! I've definitely read that breast milk is thinner than formula so breastfed babies need to eat more frequently, so maybe adding solids will be just what she needs to feel satisfied for longer periods of time. I'm not kidding, I feel like a new person since Darwin started sleeping through the night! I had been having some PPD and I even went to the doc to get meds, but never started taking them because around the same time was when we had begun sleep sense and D started sleeping longer intervals. My PPD seems to have just melted away. I still have occasional rough periods of time, but it usually only lasts an hour or two now instead of being in a funk for days straight. I really had no idea how important sleep was in terms of my mood. I'm sure it doesn't effect everyone that way, but it was really hard for me.

I just looked around online. The cheapest I could find picture cards is Walmart...they are 33 cents each, no matter how many you order, as long as you are willing to pick them up in the store. Some of the other places say cheaper, til you get to the end and realize you have to order 100 to get that price. Just FYI!

He was eating twice a night still, around 11pm and around 3am. I had cut out the 11pm feeding in the last week before he turned 6 months and then I just cut out the 3am feeding abruptly. The first night he woke up and cried for about 20 minutes straight. The second night he woke and cried for about 10 minutes. Then for the next couple of nights he would wake and kind of grunt for two or three minutes. Since then, he has slept through. He still wakes periodically and will fuss for a minute or two, but he falls back asleep on his own. I'm sure he IS hungry, but not so hungry that he can't fall back asleep and sleep through it. When he wakes in the morning he is usually in a good mood, so I know he isn't starving. Some mornings he will fuss right away as soon as I wake him up, but I can always distract him and get him smiling because he is a morning baby. Anyway, D is on formula so I'm sure that makes a difference.
