I went through that when I was pregnant with my first. I would have to say though it was nice sometimes cause I was just to tired for anyone to bother me...lol :)

that's a bummer re 6 weeks maternity!!
i am feeling great, just enjoying being lazy and on holiday.
unlike you, i am hoping for a little girl, i lost my mom 18 months ago, and i kinda crave the mother daughter relationship. but i would be happy with a little boy too! i only hope that that baby is healthy. i have two names for a girl at the moment, Savannah and Amelia. have a fav, but i think i will decide for sure when i meet baby. for a boy, Sean is leading a very long list lol we'll see!?!?!

Im glad your mom is excited. Unfortunatly with Mason my mom was less that excited..more like disappointed. She kicked me out of the house and I literally had to drag her to the ultrasound at 28 weeks. She didn't come around until she held him the day he was born. Then everything changed. Im so happy for that. We are now closer than ever.
How was your honeymoon? Where did you go?
Masons dad....I just dont know about him...eh...

I love that name its so cute! And truthfully I know NO ONE with that name :) That heartbeat does sound boyish for 13 weeks...but not always :) I had my first scan at 13 weeks and they told me the baby was 3 inches long :) He had his arms behind his head and his ankles crossed--precious! How did your mom react??

wow, britain is leading the way in something!!!! are you sure that's all you get, in uk we get full pay for only 6 weeks, then a reduced rate, topped up with credits from the government. i cant believe that's all you get.

in the UK we can take 12 months maternity leave, at the moment i am intending on taking 6 months and then going back on reduced hours if available. i don't know how i will feel when baby comes along, but it is nice to know i have the choice. what about you, you are very busy, can you imagine staying home all the time?

I know the feeling. When my two oldest were little my mom was alive, so I had the greatest babysitter! But my mom was killed in a car accident, and now there is really no one that I trust either. That would be great if you could find out this early!!!! I had one u/s at 7 weeks and I don't think I get another until 20 weeks. My sister is 16 weeks. She is due on New Year's Day!

yes, i will do that too, i have hear of nipple confusion, and will be scared incase that happens. i know that i couldn't possibly do all the feeding myself for a two/three month period though. i guess timing will be everything.

Wow, you are busy! If you want to stay at home I really hope it works out for you. Sometimes it does just because the cost of good childcare is so expensive! My little sister is pregnant too, and will be finding out what she is having in a couple of weeks. I am jealous!
