MaxwellsMommy - Saturday, 16 August Well both my mom AND my aunt thought wrong with their second pregnancies because they were soooo different. (my mom has two girls aunt has two boys) Like, my mom gained more than 50lbs w me (haha!) and she only gained 12 w/ Hannah (we were both early tho) and her cravings etc etc were different so I think you are totally right that every pregnancy is different. I am for some reason so anxious to find out what you're having lol I don't know why! I kind of think it's another girl... but who knows! Please make sure you tell us all when you have her/him!

mommys first baby - Thursday, 14 August YOur belly is too cute! mine sits right under my boobs lol dont need a bra anymore!
MaxwellsMommy - Thursday, 14 August Hey in response to the height of your uterus question- Dude the same thing happened to me but my midwife told me that if the baby isn't all the way up at the moment your uterus will like move down with him/her. I was like why is it lower than my last appt?! But she seemed to think it was totally normal. And I have noticed too that sometimes I can feel the hardness or whatever of my uterus end lower down especially like after I do yoga for some reason lol maybe that pushes the baby down?? Anywayy I wouldnt worry about it and hope this helps :) xo
cantwaittoseemybaby - Wednesday, 13 August Don't feel bad about the baked beans for a month straight I was eating stoffer's spaghetti or baked lasangna for breakfast. It was so so so good.

gr8scottswife - Wednesday, 13 August The measurement is only a best guess because your baby may be to one side of you or may be straight up and down. Therefore, if you put a tape measure from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus and your baby is staight up and down (and you're possibly in the middle of a tight braxton hicks contraction, bumping the baby up higher), the measurement can be off. The rule of thumb is + or - 2 . This gives leeway for baby's position. You're right on schedule it appears. Doctors love to freak women out!

surelee - Sunday, 10 August Oh im sorry I didnt tell you, I was feeling better and went to the store and took my Blood Pressure and it was in normal range....so I decided to wait till my appt monday. I really didnt want to go sit in the hospitol for hours on end. Its not too easy with three lil girls. Im due today, but have no signs of having this baby. My doctor is out of town all this week and said that if im still prego when he gets back he will induce me then. With my other two girls I had to be induced. The first one was 10 days late, and the second was 4 days early, but they induced me cause she was getting big. She was 8# 9oz. 3wks ago they said this baby was around 6#110z soooo, if she does decide to wait till the doctor gets back, I will be giving birth to a toddler! Im going crazy!!!! And im a little scared about how big she feels. I feel her all the way down in my girly area, and all the way up to where my rib cage comes together! And my belly is very heavy! Anyhow sorry bout the life story....hope all is well for you!
surelee - Sunday, 10 August In your profile picture...your daughter looks just like Angelina and Brads baby Shiloh...She is soooo cute!
surelee - Saturday, 9 August Thanks for the message! I ended up calling, they wanted me to come to the hospitol tonight, but I was feeling a little better after a bath and decided I will go in the morning! Its weird cause I have been seeing little spots for awhile, but today when I got the one that really messed with my vision scared me! They said everything was fine this last tuesday, can it come on that fast? Anyhow ill find out for sure tomorrow first thing! Thanks again!
MaxwellsMommy - Saturday, 9 August Hi, how have you been? I was reading your question about your left side but my teacher from class as well as my midwife both told me that you only need to make an effort to lay on your left side specifically if you have high blood pressure.. not sure why something about getting the best blood flow to the baby? Also, laying on your back can put pressure on the vena cava (the large artery carrying blood from your heart it is kind of like in your leg...) and can decrease blood flow to the uterus. THAT is why they say don't lay flat on your back all the time. However, if you are on the couch or something just prop your head up because as long as your head is above your chest, then you will increase the blood flow and its fine. I told my midwife that I sleep on back seemingly a lot cause I wake up that way and then roll over and she said that that is fine- so don't worry about it! Your body will wake you up if something is wrong, ya know? And, btw I ALWAYS sleep on my right side/ on my stomach lol kind of at an angle... so I don't think you honestly really need to worry bout the whole left side thing. Gosh, aren't you getting so anxious to have your baby?!?! I can't wait to hold mine! Was your daughter born near her due date? I'm so excited to see if you have another girl or a boy! Anyway, I hope I have helped inform you with the laying on your back/ L side stuff. Good luck with everything and take care! Not much longer to go! xoxo
cindermoon - Saturday, 9 August The only reason they suggest you sleep on the left is because your liver is on the right side and late in pregnancy your uterus can put pressure on your liver. I don't think there's any chance it could actually be worse for the baby to sleep on the right side. Im sure if it would hurt you or the baby it wouldn't be comfortable, and the extra pressure on your liver shouldn't be too bad unless you're very overweight or have other complications.
km-dickson - Friday, 8 August Honestly, I'm totally with you. I think I tend to get defensive about it because of the failure with my son, and somehow think I'm a weenie or a total baby because it was so horrible for me. But I'm just one of those people who have REALLY sensitive breasts to begin with, always have, and from the first feeding I was in toe-curling pain. I couldn't even enjoy my baby because I was panicking about the next feeding. So, when I hear generalized statements about how your baby will NEVER be sick if you breastfeed (which is by no means true!), etc, it makes me feel a little rebellious and defensive. Generally, yes, I think it's best, and am desperate to do it this time, but there are plenty of pros and cons either way. I'm just trying to make sure I don't hate myself if it doesn't work out again....:) BTW, you didn't say anything about it at all to make me feel that way! I think I got defensive about the no ear infections remark, but I probably just need to get over it. :)
jaydasmama - Friday, 8 August thats cute that your dh calls your stretch marks super hero marks... mine says my belly looks like Harry Potter's forehead....
kellisue - Friday, 8 August I read your message about gaining 60 with your first and not looking nearly as big this time as last and I totally thought of myself! I had preeclampsia with my first too and gained 49 pounds and felt and looked like a whale! This time I've gained about 26 or 27 and even though for a lot of people thats too much, I'm okay with it! I'm hoping to stay around the 35 mark but who knows! Did your doctor induce labor with your first? Mine did at 35 weeks and it was a three day labor!!!!! YUCK! So far so good with this one though, my blood pressure was 110/60 on Monday. Hope everything is going well.
brandyboo - Wednesday, 6 August Thanks it sounds like I must have lost a large part of it then. Thanks! I was really worried thinking that I was going to go into labor. I am a complete spaz! :) Just how much is in there? I know that might sound lame, but he is my first and I have no idea what to expect. You should have seen me the first time I started lactating. It was hilarious. I didnt know what the heck was happening. lol, it should be common knowlage but I didnt expect it at 18 weeks.. lol
MARIA DEANDA - Tuesday, 5 August JUST STOP 2 SAY HELLO.
