lol hotpotato~ castor oil is intended for constapation. No matter what it makes you poop. preggo or not. How it works to induce labor is the castor oil irritates the bowel mucles, and the uterus being so close to the bowels and having the same mucle structure causes the uterus to start contracting. It does work cuz Ive had friends who have done it but they all said how misserable they we're. If you want to try a natural induction the experts say that nipple stimulation is the most efective. Thanks for all the advice. I think I am going to give the pitocin a shot and see what happens...I really don't want a csection but I will do anything to make my baby happy! If I end up with one at least I know I tried everything to avoid it!

Thank you!! and I KNOW it's gone so fast! I feel like I was just being pushed back to the OR yesterday! My lil angel is doing amazing and I'm actually getting some sleep at night :) She only wakes up twice, so I consider myself very lucky haha! I was getting on here to check up on you and sharra! I know you girls are due today and I was hoping to see if you were having any progress! :) Labor dust doll, your lil surprise will be here any day now :)

I know! :( I guess it didn't work! It did make me have SOOO many damn contractions like all the time every day but they never get any stronger or closer together so I guess I'm just gonna keep waiting umm since I have no choice! My friend from this website who I have gotten really close with is having her baby right now!!! JennReedy don't know if you know her she is in week 38 right now I'm sooo happy for her she has been miserable lately! But of course I'm jealous haha Well, you should be going any day now dude!! I'm surprised you're still here!! Keep me posted and I will too. Good luck- hope we both go into labor soon!!!

I don't know how they plan on inducing me, they haven't really said yet, When I went to the doc last week I was dilated to 2 and I have never dilated that far without already being in labor and my water being broke. That's how my labor started with both of my boys, my water broke in the middle of the night.I go back tomorrow and hopefully they will tell me more. It just looks painful for them to stick that needle thing in there and break it.

no not to painful but very uncomfortable and sooooo much pressure down there.... what sucks was they were spuratic then they were every 10 min then every 5 min then just gone! I have a Dr appointment on thursday so hopefully I get some type of good news from Dr but this has literally happened to me every week for the last 3 weeks! Last week I was in the hospital for 8 hours with painfull contractions and then they just stopped! The nurse told me that she sees it alot with women who are having there 3 baby to be in labor on and off for days!!!! Ahhhh

ya i really dont like switching doctors and its like i came down here have like a week left and im like ugh why couldnt i just make it another week up there lol... i had no idea who to go to so i was asking family and friends and they had no idea so i just picked one and she ended up being a really nice lady... ya i'm glad to be home but having things in order is another story... the baby's stuff is all packed in a garage and im still trying to clean out my old bedroom... i do have his pack and play out and his clothes and diapers but his crib is put away and all that... for the first month hes gonna sleep in the bassinet part of the pack and play which was originally the plan.. i dont wanna really unpack it all bc its gonna get all packed back up as soon as i can find my own place to live. his daddy is coming down today to spend the weekend with me (and him if he decides to make an entrance). we do a lot better when we don't live together. and i really appreciate it that you've been thinkin about me and hoping things work out..i wish you the best of luck with your lil one on the way! sorry i had to vent just a bit lol

Awesome, I'm so glad your blood pressure went back down! I know you're wanting your body to do things on its own and not have to be induced. I know exactly how you feel about not feeling badly rnough to give birth anytime soon! There are times where I feel miserable and am hurting a bit, but for the most part, I still feel really good. I'm thinking there is no way I'll have him on or before Sunday. And, of course, my MIL sees me last night and is like, "Oh, you've got another week and a half, at least!" I was like, THANKS. I know that, but do we have to say it out loud?? lol I don't even think I've dropped. Have you?

Im actually having her at a birth center. I took a tour of the hospital in Georgia where I was supposed to give birth and it was ok but then when we were in Miami for our baby shower my husband and I toured a birth center and after 10 minutes I broke down crying and kept saying I dont wanna have my baby in a hospital. It was so warm and nice and it felt like I was at home. No one will look down on you for getting the epi. Everyone has a different pain limit. Just go in there with a cool head and try to relax as much as possible, Dont feel bad and dont beat yourself up about it if you do get one. I was told that you can tell them not to offer you drugs that you can tell them to wait for you to ask for it. Ask your doctors and see what they say.
