I was supposed to start my menstrual cycle on/around Thanksgiving..I have been known to be a few days late..but never a week..so 6 days after Thanksgiving..and not having a period..I was convinced by my best friend to take a test..but I wasn't really worried because its normal for me to be a few days late. SO...I gave in..I went and bought two cheap pregnancy test from Dollar General..each only a $1..I took one that night (Thursday, November 28th, 2007) The line that would determine if I were pregnant or not..was faint (when I looked at it) I immediately called my friend Michelle, who is also pregnany, and in my shaky voice told her she would have to look at this..I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I took it to her house and by the time I had gotten there..that line was NOT faint. It was for sure a positive. So I waited until the next day (Friday, November 29th, 2007) I took the 2nd one (from Dollar General) and the like was faint again..at first..This one, however; took way longer to be clear...so we went to Wal-Mart and got a more expensive 3 pack. My best friend took one to be funny..and I took one..and there it was...3 tests..all positive..I won't be going to the dr until next friday...

Here it is..Dec 2nd 2007 and its only been 4 days since I found out I was pregnant..but it seems like forever..probably because that seems to be all I think about..this site is very addicting and I think my bff Michelle for that.. :) She is 9 weeks ahead of me so we're counting down together..however, I will be counting down alone for 9 weeks.. :( BUT thanks to my 5 week buddies here with me..we can all do this together..its gonna be fun...of the symptoms I should be having..I am only eating more than normal and I am having cramps which feel like period cramps..but I know they are coming..ugh...

So, in case all of you don't know..Missouri is having major ice storms right now..so I didn't have to work today due to no electricity at my job. They have had no electricity for 38 hours now..I was headed to the dr on my day off Friday but since I was off today I decided to go ahead and get it done..I called the Health Clinic in my county and no nurses had shown up for work due to weather..so we ( best friend & I) called 3 other clinics in surrounding counties finding that only ONE was open..so we drove 30-45 min to "confirm" my pregnancy..as if 4 home preg tests were not enough LOL..I went there..filled out paperwork..peed in a cup..and the nurse put a dropper full of my urine in the test...set the timer for 2 minutes..assuming that by 2 minutes the test will fully determine a + or - ....so after setting the timer..she ask me 1 quick question.."if you are preg, is this going to be your first pregnancy" I said yes..and right after that..mind you its only been like 20 seconds..she says "Well congratulations..you're pregnant" Not that I didn't already know..but I was just amazed as how quickly it showed up that I was preg..so to let all you here on this lovely site of mine to know..its official..I'll be a mommy soon...that's how my day went...

I haven't written for a while so I'm here to tell you guys I made my first prenatal appointment set for Thurs Dec 27th..maybe I'll have an u/s for you guys then...of a little speck of something LOL...I'll keep you posted. AND for all that are due same say as me..we're 8 weeks tomorrow...YIPEE..and MICHELLE..ur 17 weeks on friday WOO HOO............jerk :) just kidding..

Here I am again..but with more news..I had my dr appointment yesterday..and there really is a baby in there.. :) There really was not much to it..I had to fill out a little paperwork because it was my first time being at that office..then I had to give a urine sample. After this, the nurse came in and took my blood pressure which was 118/80...She told me that the Dr. would probably do a vag u/s and get a good picture and a heartbeat..The Dr. came in and sure enough..I got a vag u/s and saw the booger on the screen..I didn't get to hear a heartbeat tho.. I posted my u/s pictures under my photos..check them out..

Hmm...not much going on here today. Just the same old same old! Trying to pass the days... waiting to O. Hopefully this will be the month because I hate living in two week incriments!!! Next month should go by pretty fast.....we are taking the kids to Disneyland for spring break...yeah :) And then it should start picking up after that.. with my hubby graduating and moving and all. It would be a great time to be preggers since it will be so busy, and it will go fast! How's the time passing for you? Are you savoring your last moments of freedom or are you wishing the time would go faster? :) (My advice is to enjoy the last little bit of freedom....once that baby comes it will never be the same! Not bad....just not the same!)

Aww.. thank you. The pictures make me look a lot bigger than I normally look. I know we should just pick the names WE are happy with but it's still annoying. I love those timeless names like Lillian. My parents really don't care what the name is. They thought the spelling of Jaxon was kind of odd but it grew on them. They get that it's unique. Nick's parents are from Nicaragua and the only Jackson they know of is Michael Jackson. I don't know, i just laugh it off. I'm a little tired right now, my parents and I just went to a couple placed we might have our wedding reception at. The place we have decided on is so neat! It's really different, I'll look for a link and send it to you.

Im the same with names, I'll think of a name and be like 'no.. I knew a girl with that name and she was snotty' haha. I'm feeling kind of stuck with Jaxon too. I like it but my soon to be mother in law HATES it. She says she doesn't care it's obvious. So how are you feeling lately?

Well, so far I have successfully not killed anyone yet! :) Day 4 of AF....hopefully it will be over soon! It's funny how bad I wanted it to be here, and now I can't wait for it to go away! Well anyways, my grandpa does like having us around.... he has let us know many times that he doesn't want us to move out, but we have to. When we move though, my cousin and her family plan to move in. So, he'll be ok. Things sound like they are going really well ....new house...baby on the way.... good for you! Any more drama at work.. or has that all been resolved?

Hahaha....sorry you broke your glasses! Glad to hear your hormone levels have balanced out now! I am currently experiencing hormone rage.... I forgot what AF does to me!!! I am trying to hide from my family right now so I don't go psycho on them!! I can't wait to move and be in my own place. Right we are living at my grandpa's (my grandma died about a year ago) and he has a big house and shouldn't be alone. It works out good because it is cheaper for us while my hubby's in school, and my grandpa has company. But oh how I miss my privacy! 5 mos and counting til we move.....yeah!!!! (Hoping we are moving to Maryland, but still haven't heard!)

I haven't really felt any movement yet. Or maybe I have... it's funny to not to know if it's gas or a little person moving inside me. I feel the same way though, for me it STILL doesn't seem real yet. OH, no I don't do hair. It's actually a tanning salon (don't worry, I wont be tanning thought). It's just an easy going job for now. I like your new pic... those glasses are way cute! How was your superbowl BBQ? We had pizza and chips..... very yummy! Congrats on the house.... that's exciting that you get to start putting together a nursery now :) Well, AF showed up WAY early for me! So much for the 2 week wait....but that's okay. OK, not-so-early compared to you :) I used to work nights so 12 is early for me. I've always had sleeping problems so I don't have a normal sleep pattern. Yes, Monday!! These appointments feel years apart. I'm hoping to hear the heartbeat then. Well, I have to go talk to a friend about working at her salon :( I wasn't going to work for the semester but I feel bad that Nick is working his butt off. I'm actually kind of nervous to go back to work. I've been so lazy lately. OH also I meant to ask you if you have felt your baby move at all? Let me know!

I know I shouldn't be complaining since it was the first time and some people deal with that everyday. I know, poor Nick... he was soo tired from working all day and he had to go out and clean it up :( But he was fine. He felt worse for me, there's nothing like having to drive all the way home with puke down your shirt, sleeves, on your pants, in your hair. I was balling my eyes out, mostly because of Nicks car. By the way... why were you outside last night?!?!!? We got hit with about 8 inches or so of snow, but it's all melting now. What about you?

Yup...we just had our 6 yr anniversary! Thanks for the congrats :) I did...I chopped my hair off! It is all gone... it feels kinda weird (especially when I wash it....I expect so much more and it's just not there!!). I think I like it....it is taking some getting used to, but it grows sooooo fast that it's not that big of a deal. (If I let it grow it will be long again in about a year) So anyways...I am in the 2ww right now. I plan to test on Valentine's Day (if I can hold out that long!) I really want to try to wait though.. I waste so much money on those darn tests... and I become SO obsessive! So, unless I have a really good reason...I want to wait. (haha...easier said than done!) 2 inches of snow is a lot less than 8.... I would be bummed too! I like watching the snow... not really a fan of living where it snows though.....hate driving in it! If we move back east though, it will snow there sometimes and I guess I'll have to live with it! The kids will like it I'm sure....they've NEVER seen snow. One of these days I need to drive them up to the mountains and take them sledding. They would love it! (I was gonna go last weekend, but they have been sick with colds....not the best time to go to the snow!) Anyhow...this has turned into quite the novel! When is your next apt? Do you have any names picked out at all.... getting stuff ready for a nursery yet??? Well, gotta get going... getting food and stuff ready for a superbowl gathering... :) (Not a big fan of either team, but fun times nonetheless!!)

Ok, so our car theory (where we thought we could control throwing up in the car, like it's a menal thing) well, I was way wrong! haha.. on the way home from having dinner and seeing a very long play, I threw up ALL OVER Nick's car. Like the Exorcist. It was horrible! But I'm feeling better today, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that that was a one time thing. Anyways, how have you been lately?

My little ones are deffinitely keeping me more than busy!! Weekends are nice cuz I can get out of the house by myself for a little while and leave the kids with the hubby. I don't get to do anything too exciting....grocery shop....but hey.. I'll take it!!! For the program my hubby wants to get into, they interviewed about 10 peple or so....and they have spots for 3... so we shall see what happens!! How are things going there?? Any crazy weather lately? We are getting some fun storms here :)

I agree with the car thing, when you're at home you know you can go to the bathroom. I have also lost about 4 lbs but I haven't been throwing up at all. I think it's because no matter how hungry I am when I start eatting I get full really quickly. So I've been trying to eat a lot of snacks throughout the day. Which is good because I loooove food! I'm hoping I don't gain too much either (I'm sure that's everyones wish) because my wedding is Nov. 29th. And I wasn't really tiny to begin with either. I am getting a belly. I didn't think I was but when Nick came home from being out of town for a week he couldn't believe how big it was. Then I started looking at pictures and I was surprised too. I'll try to put pictures on here soon, I keep forgetting. Alright, back to class. Hope you're doing good!

Nope....no news about the interviews yet :( They said to expect about 10 weeks to hear back from them!!! I hope it doesn't really take that long! Especially since if he gets accepted, we have to move out there by June! That wouldn't give me very much time to find a place to live and move!! Crazy! Well, hope things are going good there! Have you told all of the fam about your expected little one?

I'm feeling great, I have lots more energy. I'm feeling the same in my lower belly. That sucks about puking... I've been lucky and haven't really. But I was in the car the other day and while I was drinking water I started coughing. I got that feeling like i was going to throw up... I was freaking out looking for a bag or something! That's one of the worse feelings, so I can't imagine getting it all the time.

Ahh...the no energy stage! Been there (most of the time!! Hahaha) I actually got some of my energy back today....hubby went back to school and work. I get out of my routine when he's on vacation....(along with the kids' routine). Don't get me wrong...it's great having him home, but I do better at getting things done when he's at work/school!! Anyways.... Still not quite sure what's going on with my body... no real period yet...and baby's down to nursing once at night (sometimes not at all). I am still charting and using the OPKs, but it doesn't seem to be much help. I think I will just stop BF altogether... that should entice AF to come soon! (Or maybe an egg to pop, so I can just skip AF altogether and go straight to preggo!) Well, sorry for the novel....hope your day is going good!!

Yeah, I went shopping today. I bought a few pairs of pants and a couple shirts for later on. I just saw that your bestfriend is pregnant too. I was just thinking about that today, I wish a friend of mine would get knocked up :)!! We live in West County, pretty close to West Co. mall. What department does your friend work in? I used to work in the ER at St. John's. How much more nursing school will you have left? What kind of nursing do you want to do? I'm taking my last two classes right now for my associates, then some time off with the baby. I want to get into social work so I'll be going back to school for my degree. Well, I hope you're feeling great! Tomorrow is supposed to be warm again!! Talk to you soon.

I had no idea! They really are so comfortable! I actually just got back from maternity clothes shopping. My next appointment isn't until Feb. 11th. Have you heard the heart beat yet? or is that your next appointment? I got to see mine a couple of times but I still haven't heard it yet.

Haha, I love the thought of no zippers and buttons! When I wear jeans I don't button them and i keep my belt loose. But I have to be careful because they fall down easily! I've had a few ultrsounds.
