turtlemom - Friday, 21 November I just read the latest journal post. I am so glad Gage will be in a private room. It is so much nicer than the NICU! He will be able to rest more and gain stregnth to go home. Such a wonderful move forward!!!
turtlemom - Friday, 21 November That is such wonderful news! I'm certain he will be able to go home much sooner than the last doc suggested. We moved to the NICU village where we were able to room with Parker and take care of her. Is this similar to the Infant ICU? Are they private rooms? In any case it sounds like one big step closer to going home which is so awesome! Blessings to you all from Parker & I!

lin - Tuesday, 26 August Hi there, just wanted to comment on your post under the ventriculomegaly forum. We were told at my sons 20 week ultrasound that he had dialated ventricles, his right was normal but his left was 11mm. Four weeks later his right had grown to 10mm and left had gone down to 10mm. And then by 36 weeks, they had both corrected to below 9mm. We were also told during one of our many ultrasounds that he had a club foot and clenched fists. They suspected down syndrome. HOWEVER...he is now one year old, and does not have downs, or anyother disorder for that matter. He was born totally healthy aside from his left club foot. He has met all of his milestones early and is already starting to talk! A very bright little boy! They had thought that all of these things must bave been connected and pointed toward some sort of syndrome, but they were wrong. Best of luck to and lots of prayers for you and your family
