sharafly - Wednesday, 30 July
Hey girlie! I'm so sorry I haven't been on here much. Things are just really hectic for us right now. The job search for Tony isn't going very well. There are just NO jobs around here. The economy here is so crappy. Most jobs are industrial and production type, and they depend on bigger companies. So when one goes downhill, they all go. Tony is getting unemployment. Granted, it's less than half of what he was bringing home, but that's better than no money at all coming in. Only one of the houses I had lined up to clean actually worked out. The others decided that money was too tight and they just couldn't afford it. So, I'm cleaning one house per week. Things are definitely a struggle, but we're not giving up. We're not eating out at all, and I'm doing all our cooking at home. We're having to eat alot cheaper, but at least we have food. We're getting Alyssa's school supplies one thing at a time as we can afford it. Hopefully we'll have everything by the time school starts. It really is ridiculous what kids need just to start school anymore!!! We had to switch little Tony to way cheaper diapers, which saddened me because I love the Pampers Swaddlers so much! But at least he has diapers. So we're hanging in there!!

Little Tony is so much fun to play with now! We got him one of those bumbo seats at a used kid's store for only $10, and it came with a tray! He sits in there like such a big boy!!! He laughs and smiles and "talks" all the time now. I'm soooo in love!

How are things with little Macey??? Boy time is flying isn't it? I looked at her pics again and she's so adorable! We're having little Tony's done tomorrow!!!

sharafly - Wednesday, 16 July
Hello lovely. I'm going to apologize in advance, but this isn't going to be a novel haha. I'm just kind of down in the dumps and don't really feel like writing a ton right now. Thank you so much for your prayers and thoughts, it means the world to me. I'm taking things one day at a time. By the way, Macey's pictures are stunning =]

sharafly - Wednesday, 9 July
AWW thanks girl! My hubby took that pic of me when I got home the other day from taking the kids to the park! Our 4th was great. The fireworks were awesome, and little Tony even liked them! He just gazed up at them and starting moving his hands and feet like crazy! I didn't get to throw back any either, but it was nice just being with my family. I can't wait to see the pics you had done!!!! I'm sure they're great. We're going to have little Tony's done probably one day next week. I know about the melting your heart when they smile thing...little Tony's been doing it to me too! He'll be sitting there and I'll go up to him and talk to him and he'll just get the biggest smile on his face and coo out...girl it's literally the sweetest thing ever

So you got AF huh? I got mine too, about 2 weeks ago. And yeah, mine was crazy heavy! I was scared I was bleeding because of some internal problem with my c-section or something that's how bad it was. But I went to the doctor and he said the first one is always bad, so that made me feel better. Girl, little Tony is growing right before my eyes sometimes! And get this...he's up to 7oz at each feeding, with 2 teaspoons of cereal in the bottle. BUT, he's eating only every 5 hours now, so I guess it balances out. At night he'll sleep for sometimes 6 hours at a time, so it really is helping me feel alot better now that I'm able to get more sleep too! Well I've got a pile of laundry and dishes to catch up on, so I better get going. Give that precious little Macey hugs for me!!!!!

sharafly - Monday, 30 June
Aww I'm glad she did well at the Shower! And wow, she really IS getting big! We're so blessed to have such beautiful, healthy babies!!! Tony is eating like a pig, let me tell you. He's up to eating 6oz plus a teaspoon and a half of cereal every 4 hours! There are a few times when he's good and asleep that he'll sleep through a feeding, and end up going 5 or 6 hours. But mostly, it's every 4 right on the dot. I like your plans for the 4th! I think I may knock back a few myself, been way too long The only thing we're doing is going over to my parent's house. They live right near the Fairgrounds here, and they have the biggest Fireworks show around every year. Plus, my parents own a lot of land. So we usually just all head up to the land, build a bonfire, have a few drinks, and sit around and talk and laugh at each other. Simple, but fun for us. And as far as Macey being around when you do people's hair, I don't think as many people will mind as you'd think. I know myself, I wouldn't mind if someone stopped to tend to their baby for a minute. Hopefully others won't either. But like you said...piss off! haha. Tony loves to sit up too! If he's on his belly for tummy time, or laying flat on his back in his play gym, he screams his little heart out. But I can sit him up on my lap where he can see everything, and he'll just look around as content as you please. My mom teases and says he just wants to be nosy I will probably end up getting him a bumbo seat too. I've heard lots of parents say their kids loved them. Well I can't afford the maid yet either, so I guess those dishes and laundry aren't going anywhere unless I do something about them. Better get to it. Talk to you soon

sharafly - Tuesday, 24 June
Well the nurse came today and said my incision is starting to heal up really nicely and said it looks great. I said...its bright red, draining out green stuff, and is sore as hell - how could it look great??? She didn't smile, was it something I said?

I wish Tony slept like Macey! It's like every little sound wakes him up. He can be in his swing sound asleep for hours, and I clear my throat in the kitchen and he's up. Weird. I know how you feel about leaving her with someone while you work. I had to put Alyssa in daycare while we worked from the time she was 6 months old. It's soooo hard at first, but then you realize sometimes they kind of have fun there! There were times when picking her up that I'd have to sit down and wait for her to finish what she was doing or playing with. It's just hard to think about when they're this young. I would normally go back to work in mid-August, but we're contemplating me not going back at all. Tony realizes this is the last child we're going to have, and he really wants me to stay home with him. He says I can always go back to work after he's older, but he's only a baby once. Makes sense I guess, but things are getting so expensive anymore I just don't know.

How did Macey do at the baby shower? I love going to those, they're so much fun!!! Did I tell you at his appointment he weighed 10lbs 12oz??? BIG BABY! Oh well, at least he's growing. I'm thankful for that. Well it's about time for him to wake up again so I'm going to run. I'll try to respond a little sooner next time. Talk to you soon

sharafly - Saturday, 21 June
Well hello lovely! Don't worry about the slow responding, I suffer from it myself :P I'm glad to hear Macey is happy with her feedings now, and is going longer in between. How nice for you!!! We just upped Tony to 6oz yesterday, and have been putting a teaspoon of rice cereal in his bottle and let me tell you he still gobbles the WHOLE thing!!! But after he finishes that bottle, he's happy as a lark. He's been going about 5 hours between feedings the last few days. So that's better than 3 hours!!! And I know what you mean about her fighting sleep - Tony does it too. He'll be the grumpiest little baby on Earth and nothing you can do will content him. Then I'll hold him and he'll go to sleep, only to wake up the very split second I lay him down in his bed

It's good that you've been taking some appointments though. It makes your life about a little bit more than just the baby, although she's the most important thing in it right now, there has to be other aspects of your life too. I've been going into work myself for a few hours every couple of days or so, and I actually liked it! It was a nice little change of pace. We haven't decided when we're going to get Tony's pics done, maybe the middle of July or so. We have a couple of vouchers for free photos from a few different places, so that's nice. I can't wait to see the professional pics you get done of Macey...she's such a gorgeous little girl!!! I envy you beyond belief getting to lay on your stomach! I'm still not able to where I have the hole in my belly still. AND to beat it all, this past Saturday the home health nurse did a routine wound culture to make sure no bacteria was growing in the wound or infection and that sort of thing. I got the results back today...and I have a staph infection. GREAT. So I'm back on antibiotics yet again. UGH, I'm beginning to think this nightmare will never end!!! But I guess the good news is that there's hardly any depth to my wound anymore, and it's healing really well dispite the staph. They said another 2 weeks or so and it should be completely closed and healed up with no more infection. 2 more weeks?!?!?! Sheeeesh. But I've made it this far, gotta keep on truckin'!!! Well I'll go for now and let you get back to little Macey after reading this novel I left you haha!!! Talk to you soon

sharafly - Monday, 16 June
Hello lovely! Man I didn't have a breath to catch over the weekend to reply to your message...sooooo sorry! I had so much housework to catch up on, and then Father's Day was hectic, and I feel like I can finally breathe today! I'm curious to know if you got your 5 or 6 consecutive hours of sleep???? How sweet of your Joe to get up with her on weekends and let you sleep! Tony and I have a pretty cool system worked out - he gets home from work around 12:30am, and then I go to bed. I'll sleep until around 5:30am or so, and then I'll get up and he goes to bed and sleeps until around 11:30am or so. We still have a few hours to spend as a family before he has to go into work, and we're both getting a pretty good amount of consecutive sleep, plus the naps in between when little Tony's asleep. I had no idea it took 5 years for you guys to get pregnant. I have always been so fortunate to never have fertility problems, and I hate you guys had to go through that. Both times when I wanted to get pregnant, I did so within that month. But my sister was a different story, she took fertility treatments and the works. But hopefully God will see to it that you'll be blessed with another little miracle. And if not, how lucky you are to have Macey!!! I'm still checking out Myspace, I just haven't had a tremendous amount of time to devote to it. I do have Facebook though, if you're on there. It's kind of the same thing from what I hear. My little Tony is up to eating 5oz at one time now!!! And the piggy drinks it all too! That seems to be satisfying him for the moment, but we'll see how long that lasts. He goes to the doctor for a checkup tomorrow, and I'm so curious to see how much he weighs now. I can tell he's filling out and gaining weight like crazy! I had to adjust his carseat straps for the first time last night, and I was like whoa goodness he's growing!!! Tony's doctor told me that when he keeps knawing and trying to eat his hands after a bottle that he's needing a little more and to just up it 1/2oz at a time. So at least our kids are growing!! It's hard for me too to believe that he's a month old already. He's just changing so much, and smiling now, and it's soooo cute. But I better get going myself, got a ton of things to do today. Talk to you soon girlie!!

sharafly - Friday, 13 June
Oh yes girl, I know how it goes with being slow to reply. It's amazing the stuff I took for granted before he came along!! Being able to lay in bed until 10am if I wanted, being on the computer until 1am, eating cereal and actually getting to finish it before it gets soggy...haha ;) But I wouldn't change it for anything. Well my incision is healing progressively more each day. But I am doing the same thing as you - I have to tuck washcloths in my undies to absorb everything. I've had to do that since day one because it's draining so much. The nurse that came this morning estimated it's now only 4 inches long, and 1 inch deep. That's much better than the 10 inches long and 5 inches deep it was before!!! So I'm happy with that. Hopefully in another week or two it will be all healed up and they'll let it just close on up. They're keeping it open to let everything drain out and stuff. But at least I'm making progress. I'm able to move around really well now. It hardly even bothers me believe it or not. The most annoying part is the endless tape they have to put on me to secure the dressing!!!! How awesome that Macey slept and let you do hair!! That sucks that you're already having to do hair though. But I totally know what you mean about being broke already. I've been going into work the last few days finishing up some things for the end of the year. I work for the school district here as a bookkeeper, and I have a TON of end-of-year reports that I have to get done. And yes, I am the only one who can do them, because they're based on MY work all year. So that's kind of annoying. But I've only been going in for about 2 hours every few days or so, and it will be over with next week. So I can live with that, plus I'm earning extra money too. With a newborn, and another child, and gas and food prices the way they are, I'm not complaining about working haha! I haven't checked out Myspace yet, but it's on my agenda for tonight. I've heard it's pretty addicting! Little Tony is doing awesome, and gaining weight like crazy! I can tell he's getting so heavy. He has a doctor's checkup on Tuesday of next week, and I'm very curious to see how much he's gained. He's exactly 1 month old today...and I can't believe it! Time has literally flown by for me. I never asked you I don't think...has having this c-section put a damper on having another child? Or were you even wanting one? This will be it for Tony and I. We've got our girl and our boy, and that's enough for us. Well it's about that feeding time again...it snuck up on me! I'll talk to you soon girlie, keep having great moments with your little girl :)

Ele79 - Thursday, 12 June
Hey!! Just stopping in to check and see how you are doing...So how are you doing?? Eli is 2 weeks today...I can't believe how fast time flies when you are not pregnant anymore...I am so happy to have my body back..(well sorta, breastfeeding isn't really owning all my body back) He sleeps a good 4 hour chunk at night then goes back to sleep for 2 to 3 hour stretch...When are you going back to work? I think I will be off till first or second week of July...then just work 2 days..(Mother in law will watch him) I can't wait to get back to some normalcy..Well keep in touch and I will try and do the same...hope you are healing well....( my vbac was such a better experience then the c-section...sorry you had to go thru it..) Take care

sharafly - Monday, 9 June
Hey girlie! My weekend was great. We spent some good ole' family time together. Friday night we had movie night and let Alyssa pick the movie - and she chose Shrek 3rd of all things. So we watched it and ate popcorn and all just snuggled on the couch until bedtime. Then Saturday we packed us a big picnic - I made salads, roast beef and swiss sandwiches, apple pie, and lots of sweet tea, and we took it to a park that's here where we live. It has lots of water with ducks and fountains spraying, a playground, walking trails, the works. We stayed there all day! It was so great. Then Sunday we all went to Church, came home and I made fried chicken and potato salad, and then we went to the Mall and got both kids a little something. So yes...my weekend was great!

How nice that Macey was good for your trip! I would be so afraid to take Tony that far off right now, I'd be scared I'd forget something!!! And dang she's sick? How sad!!!! We try so hard to keep our babies from catching stuff, but it just happens. Luckily Tony hasn't been sick, but Alyssa just got over Strep Throat for the 2nd time this year! We wash our hands constantly and use hand sanitizer, but sometimes things just slip by us. Thanks about the pics, yes she's all into her brother. She likes rubbing his head haha! I'm not breastfeeding, and I didn't with Alyssa either. It was just a personal choice for me with many reasons behind it. I don't think it's for everyone. But Alyssa did fabulous on formula, and Tony's doing great too. I don't feel guilty at all for not breastfeeding, but think the people who manage it should go for it. I don't have a myspace...people keep asking me that and I've never even been on that site! But now I'm going to check it out and see what all the hype is about haha! I get excited when I get your messages too - it's so good talking to you!!! Take care of little Macey and talk to you soon

sharafly - Friday, 6 June
Well I'm really glad your C-section is getting better! When the nurse came to my house this morning to change the dressing and gauze, she said it's still looking really good, and is healing great. The hole isn't nearly as big as it was, so that's good news. I'm hoping on Monday he'll just let it close on up and heal. That's awesome that you're going to get to work from your house! I would love to be able to do that. Although I can't complain, because I'm off until mid-August. I hate the thoughts of leaving him with just anyone, so Tony and I have worked it out where he will be able to watch him. He's going to take a position on 2nd shift working 4pm to 12am. When he gets home he'll go on to bed and sleep, that way when I get up and have to go to work at 8am, he'll be rested and can get up and watch the baby. Then I will get off work and be home by 3pm, and he'll have time to get to work. Granted we won't be seeing much of each other during the week, but it will be worth it to us in the long run to know that one of us will always be caring for our little boy. And not to mention it's WAY cheaper than daycare, which here for an infant runs $125 per week. So I think that will work out nicely for us :) And about you having a rough time when you first came home, that happened to my sister too. She was so upset she wasn't pregnant anymore. So I totally understand where you're coming from there. People don't really realize how hard that is for the people going through it. But I'm glad you're ok now! Tony and I had talked about perhaps having one more child in a few years, but honestly this ordeal with my C-Section has totally ruined it for me. I don't EVER want to go through this again, so I don't blame you for being scared of having to do it again maybe. Maybe if I lose a bunch of weight, or at least some, to where it wouldn't be a huge deal if I had to have another one. We'll see I guess. But it is really scary! I'm glad you had extra surgeons and didn't need staples. I wish I could have had that. I'm going to have a horrible scar. But it's the price you pay I suppose :) I've gotta run and feed my little one too. It's his feeding time in 15 minutes, and he'll be squealing like clockwork here soon! We're going to take a bunch of new pics this weekend, and I'll get them posted asap. It's soooo good talking to you!!! Let's keep in touch :)

sharafly - Friday, 6 June
That is total perfection there...look at the two of you. Simply lovely :)

sharafly - Friday, 6 June
OMG look at that face! She's beautiful :)

sharafly - Friday, 6 June
First of all...look at the 3 of you in that picture!!!! Awww that's beautiful! Well, from my C-Section I am finally starting to heal up. They put a new kind of gauze in me that only has to be changed once every 2 days, so that's much better than twice per day. I went to the doctor this past Monday and he said I'm healing up very nicely. I go again this coming Monday, and he said if I continue to heal like I am now, they'll let the wound close up on it's own and not have to stitch it up. That would be fantastic!!! So I'm hoping for that so much. They cut me horizontally, right where the lower part of my belly hangs over a bit...haha you know what I mean?? Anyway, that sucks yours is irritated and leaking. That is exactly how mine started out. Have you gotten your staples out yet? I started noticing mine leaking even before I got my staples out 7 days after I had him. It would leak out this weird green colored stuff. I would put a paper towel over it, and I'd change it and it would be pretty soaked. Only 4 days later it totally busted open with that POUND of infection pouring out of it. So just be careful...I'd hate for this to happen to you too.

Yes my little boy is a total pig...and he's now eating 4 and 1/2oz at a time. This last feeding we did at 6:30 was interesting because when he was done eating he kept crying and knawing at his hands like he was still hungry. Normally when he's full he'll just push the bottle out of his mouth and go right to sleep. But this kid was still hungry. I didn't want to give him anymore...because GOOD GRIEF!!! So he kept crying and crying, and finally I put him in the car and took a ride, and he finally fell asleep. He eats again at 9:30, and if he does the same thing again, I guess he'll now be up to 5oz. What a little pig!!!!! HAHA!

I really hope you do well with your hubby going back to work. Mine only got the delivery day off...and that's it. It's a shame we didn't live closer, I'd come visit and we'd get out and do stuff. We're pretty cooped up here too. It gets lonley talking to kids all the time! I added a few more pics today...we're still working on more. Your little girl is so lovely :) Talk to you soon!

sharafly - Thursday, 29 May
Congratulations on little Macey's arrival!!!! I'm so excited for you guys. I know you're going to enjoy every little moment with her. I hope you're all doing great. Keep me posted, I know it's a busy time for both of us right now :)

sharafly - Thursday, 29 May
