sharafly - Friday, 29 Feb
Hey girlie!! I'm doing pretty good I guess. With each week that passes I'm feeling more and more pains, mostly in my back and the achiness in my belly. It feels like I have one giant pulled muscle in my belly...not fun! I just finished up my GTT on Wednesday, but haven't gotten the results back yet. I lost 3 lbs. at my 29 week appointment, and you lost 6?? Wow we're doing awesome! I know what you mean about our little ones being lazy...it makes me sad too. I actually get comforted when he kicks me alot!! This weather has been horrible here...the high yesterday was 25! But they're saying by Monday we might reach the high 50's, so who knows. I'm ready for spring to get here and my little boy too!! I didn't realize until I created my baby registry how much stuff I still don't have, so that was kinda scary. Anyway, glad to hear you're doing good and talk to you soon (((hugs)))

amerie2304 - Saturday, 23 Feb
Hi there, thanks for your response. I was the same way at first too! I would have a bunch of questions in my head I wanted to ask him before my appointment and then I would get there and forget or just say okay! when he was ready to send me on my way. But what I do now is write a list of all the questions I want to ask him and he does answer them, albeit brief. But my problem with him is that I think the baby's heartbeat rate and weight should be automatic measurements he should take at every visit AND report it to me without me having to ask. And I'm bummed about the picture thing too. I still haven't seen my baby's face after all this time. Everytime he gives me a sonogram, the baby's face is towards my back and since I have the most impatient doctor in the world, he never waits to see if the baby will turn around. :( But luckily there are two other OB's in the office so I think I'm gonna make an appointment to see another one and see how that goes. We should feel totally comfortable with the doctor who is going to deliver our baby and an impatient doctor does not make me feel comfortable!

Hi: Just checking in on you. How are you doing this week? Has your little girl's movements picked up? I hope so. You are in my thoughts. Take care, Marie

mommagin - Tuesday, 19 Feb

SharaFly - Monday, 18 Feb
Hey girlie! Sooo sorry I haven't responded in a while! I've been off work since Wednesday of last week. I took a much needed vacation!! Anyway I don't have Internet at home yet, and can only get on here at work. So...I'm glad your little girl decided to make her presence known! It's amazing how they can worry the crap out of us and still be so little. I guess they're getting an early start ;) What's weird is that the last couple of days or so I haven't felt my little boy moving quite as much as he normally does. HAHA! I guess you take the good with the bad. Now to follow my own advice and not worry! Anyway I hope you're doing well today, I have a horrible bachache!!! But I'll talk to you soon :)

niseybear - Thursday, 14 Feb
30 weeks is just fine to have a shower. I had mine at 33 weeks...seems like yesterday..it was October though! I hope you are truly blessed!

mandy-mae - Thursday, 14 Feb
Please don't feel alone there are days were my little girl move's all day and other days where it's just here and there...I really wouldn't stress yourself about it...I did the same thing and called my Dr and he said it's very common not to feel the baby move everyday until you get farther along!

pamallhoney - Wednesday, 13 Feb
I'm expecting twins also like your last comment received. My twins are really quiet compared to a few of my singletons. I had one other baby my third who was this quiet and to this day she is a quiet and shy keep to herself kinda person. So I wouldn't call your little girl lazy, maybe good natured or quiet.

marietwins2008 - Wednesday, 13 Feb
Hi: Glad my post helped a little. I also remembered that my I was told to drink a full glass of juice & lay on your left side to stimulate movement. Hang in there. Im always suprised how much my twins are moving on ultrasound, but I feel nothing. I think its just part of having extra belly fat. Take care. Marie

jenhop - Wednesday, 13 Feb
Hey sweetie, I wouldnt worry I am in the same boat. I actually only felt my baby move for the first time on Saturday for about 20 mins and then nothing again until Monday night and then nothing again so far. Every baby is different and my doctor told me that baby is moving but Im just not feeling it yet. I have read for weeks women talking about babys doing flips and spins in their tummies and Im like what the hell!!! Whens it my turn, but I guess all we can do is relax and our time will come :)

SharaFly - Wednesday, 13 Feb
Hey girl! I'm doing really well. Listen, I don't want you to be doing people's hair today and space out worrying over your baby moving or not moving ok?? When I was pregnant with Alyssa, I honest to God didn't even feel pregnant until WELL into my 7th month, like week 28 or so. Seriously. Before then, I barely felt movements at all, and when I did it was hardly noticable. But with her, it's like when I started feeling movements...MAN did I start feeling them. I went through the kick of being worried because I wasn't feeling her, and worrying that she wasn't moving, you know all the horrible stuff we go through. And you're right, being heavier does impact it also. I gained 90 lbs when I was pregnant with her!!! But I just want to reassure you that you WILL start feeling movements...I promise! Just give it a few more weeks.

And as for the Ravioli, I'm eating some now ;)

jpcm - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Hi, I am 25 weigh about 240 lbs. When I was pregnant with my daughter now 18 months old, I didn't feel much movement until I was 23 wks and even then it would come and go. This time I am 28 wks now with another girl and I started feeling movements around 21-22 wks...more like flutters, I laughed it off because of my size. Now, after about a week of quietly worrying...I can see my stomach jump...LOL, it's weird, it's like this one kicks sooo much harder than my daughter and her movements are very distinctive. They do come and go, and I can't get her to move when I wnt her to and most of the time she stops when my husband touches her...LOL...so did our first daughter, and he says GREAT, another momma's girl. LOL I quietly love that too. We too have a stethoscope, my husband is vol fire dept, it's a regular non expensive one. Because I fell her more, my husband likes to listen to her, he can hear her sloshing around, and her heartbeat and he giggles. Don't worry unless Dr. says to.

marietwins2008 - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Hi Michelle: I saw your post. I felt the same way when preg w/ my 1st son. I was around 275 & hardly ever felt movement. I was constanly worried. At 7 mths my husband bought a stethescope. I would find the baby's heartbeat everyday. It was soooo reassuring. It cost $30 at Walmart. I don't use it w/ this pregnancy since Im having twins & daily movement has not been an issue. I will never forget the daily nagging feeling of wondering if my baby was ok. Hang in there.
Marie

CaseyLynn - Tuesday, 12 Feb
I am bigger too, but I have always felt the movements. With my 1st child she did'nt move around much but I have lots of movement with this one(a boy-competely opposite of my first). I would ask your doctor about the movements and if they are worried then you can get worried about it. But some babies are just a little lazier than others, my daughter was. But if you are really worried about it - then let your doctor know, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Ele79 - Monday, 11 Feb
Just wanted to drop by and say hi...man can't believe we are 24 weeks!!! Hope the days keep rolling by...Take care of yourself....

3blessings - Sunday, 10 Feb
Hi! I am from week 31 and I seen your post on the latest comment. In regards to your questions, I think it's pretty normal to feel movement one day, and maybe not so much the next. That happened to me a couple times, and I can say it got me worried at first too! But everything was okay. If you start to feel worried try drinking something high in citrus like orange juice or lemonade. That should get the baby moving a little! But after 28 weeks they will have you do a fetal kick count every day. If you don't feel the number or kicks your doctor tells you, then call them right away! As far as feeling kicks below your belly button, I think that is normal too. A lot of women in my week are talking about feeling kicks low. It sometimes happens to me, but not too often. I guess it's all just based on how the baby is positioned

I'm not a doctor, and this is only my first pregnancy. So don't take everything I say as gospel. I'm only telling you what I've experienced. If you start to become really concerned, I would call up your doctor, they would know best :O) Hope this helps at all!

SharaFly - Thursday, 7 Feb
Well how weird! I've always been a morning person though. I'm in bed every night by 10pm at the absolute latest, sometimes even by 9pm. And I'm always up no later than 7am, but usually by 6:30am. So I am getting my sleep at least, I always have!! It's soooo awesome you get to start working from home, and that your clients are really cool with it. That makes it so nice I bet, because you can have your little girl in her bouncy seat, or a swing while you're doing hair! I wish I could work from home, but the program I have to do my purchases on is on the School District's Intranet. I manage a bunch of different programs in our school district, like Gifted Education, Preschool, and Title I (which is like a step up from Special Ed, they just need a little extra help). So I can't really do all that from my house, but it would be so nice.

And the Mickey D's burrito craving is funny! I myself am getting ready to eat my lunch of Ravioli and cholocate pudding and chocolate milk. Appetizing huh? haha! Well good luck with your laundry, that's what I'm doing when I get off work. I'm having a good day so far, and hope you do too :)

SharaFly - Thursday, 7 Feb
Well glad to see you made it through your busy day yesterday! Hopefully you can work as long as possible to keep the money coming in, that's what I'm trying to do. I'm due May 12th, and I'm going to work up until May 2nd. That gives me 10 days to rest up haha! I love feeling my little man moving around in there, he was kicking and moving around soooo much this morning, it was great :) I love blinkies, I have a borderline obsession! Being a small town girl, I absolutely love it. I wouldn't have it any other way either. And you don't have to get up for work today???? AHHHH!! Haha well enjoy your sleeping in this morning, and talk to you soon :)

SharaFly - Wednesday, 6 Feb
Dang well I'm sorry that you have such a busy day ahead of you. Being a hair stylist, there's not much you can do about being on your feet all day is there? :( Luckily I'm an office manager, and my job consists of nothing beyond the realms of my desk. I actually have to get up periodically to stretch because I'm sitting so long. Instead of my feet, it really makes my back hurt. So you take the good with the bad I guess. Well other than your busy day, I hope you're doing well!! I'm feeling pretty good today. Talk to you soon (((hugs)))

SharaFly - Tuesday, 5 Feb
Awww girl you look so good in your belly pic!! Don't say scary...I think it's beautiful :) And thanks for your kind words about my pics also, I'll be posting some more in the next week or so. Hope you got some rest last night, and talk to you soon. Take care :)

SharaFly - Monday, 4 Feb
Yes only us pregnant chicks eat stuff like that. But hey, this is how I justify it...Ravioli has tons of protein, and of course the calcium of milk ;) Surprisingly it doesn't give me heartburn. I've only had the really horrible heartburn 2 times during this pregnancy, and it made my stomach hurt more than anything. It was pretty bad, and it was after I ate like cereal or something like that. Too weird. But thankfully I've only gotten it twice. I hate that you're feeling so bad when you eat...that just makes this a little more miserable huh?
