Hey!! I can't wait to hear how things went for you! I know you're crazy busy right now (join the club), but I really want to read your birth story when you get around to it. Just posted mine along with a couple pics

beckaboo - Sunday, 10 August
ok, I have not heard from Kendra, so I assume Rhys is here.....tell me all about it :) Whats going on? You ok?

wedward **PINK** - Wednesday, 6 August
Pierce is doing great and we are on cloud nine!! I saw your post about being afraid that baby will be too big. They said that Pierce was 6.6 lbs at his 36 week us and he came in at 6.11 so they really don't know how much they weigh. Can't wait to hear the birth story. Keep me posted!!

Is the family (in-laws) here? Rhys arrive yet?

beckaboo - Friday, 1 August
 very nice looking couple

beckaboo - Friday, 1 August
Sleep? hahahahahaha
Glad Rhys waited for the family to arrive :) Kendra, it stinks you are not dilated. Rhys may be too big to come vaginally. Did you ask to be induced so you can have a vaginal birth? Lord knows the healing time is fraction of those with a C-section. Sounds like he will be a big boy, so in order to have semi, less-painful birth, do ask to be induced and schedule it for next week :) Good luck, keep me posted!!!! Good job with your pregnancy. You are not working, right? I go back Oct 1

I think what makes it easier to breastfeed the second t ime is couple things. First off, Brenna is good at sucking and is more interested than Alexa was. Also, I am more experienced and know what to expect. I think my milk came in quicker too (with Brenna). You going to breastfeed? Do it! Its so joyous. Its a nice way to bond with your baby. Plus its the one thing you can give Rhys, and that is a healthy start. It wont be easy and make sure you lube each nipple in between feedings (with breastfeeding lube).

Taking things in your own hands? What do ya mean? Sex? hahaha. Actually, we did that and walked everyday. Alexa loves being a big sister! Thanks for the compliments on my girls.
I am breastfeeding! Its much easier the second time around! Brenna is a good eater and I put her right on the breast as soon as she was born. She knew just what to do. Make sure you do with Rhys too.
Brenna weighed 7.8 and Alexa was 7.9. If Rhys is 9 pounds you will be in for a nice long labor. So it seems you should try and get him out sooner than later. As I said, sex (he has to shoot inside) and walking. Walk alot!!!

Thanks sweety!!!!! I forgot how wonderful it is to have a baby in the house! I may have to have another!!!! How you feeling? Any new signs? I knew I was going to go in labor because my water kept leaking. Sure enough, within 6 hrs. I cant wait to hear about your delivery! TAKE THE DRUGS!!!! It takes so much pressure and pain off us.
xoxoxox

I posted a couple pics in the 38 week blog. Did u see?

beckaboo - Wednesday, 30 July
Hi Kendra,
I've been thinking about you. Whats new? I hope you have an easy labor. Mine was so quick. Water broke, went to hospital and within 4 hrs Brenna was here. I cant wait to see pics of Rhys and meet him too :)

Thanks for the happy thoughts =) Have you been to the Dr yet to see if you're making any progress? Did you start using the EPO? Michael's out of town today (only 2hr away), but knowing my luck today will be the day - not that I would be upset about that!!

Totally random, but what did you end up doing for your nursery? I felt out of my element designing the nursery - I guess it was more decorating rather than designing, but it was odd because I had never even thought about pulling together a space like that. I'm finishing up the nursery this weekend - I'll be sure to post some images soon.

oh, I'm thinking of Castor oil...durrrrrrrrrrrr

Heather-08-01 - Tuesday, 22 July
I work in commercial design too - I'm a little wet behind the ears as I've only been working in the field for about a year and half so far, but I really like it. My firm is a commercial A&D firm - we do a little bit of everything from retail, to corporate upfits, higher ed, and occaisionally something really fun like a restaurant - since I'm not the head designer I don't get to make many decisions on the big fun projects yet - Oh well my day will come. As far as maternity leave is concerned - I'm just about ready to go. I started part time last week because I've been so tired and distracted, but this week I'm seriously ready to call it quits! The only huge problem is I don't get ANYTHING for maternity leave - nothing, no temporary disablility... nothing Oh well - we will make it somehow.

As far as the natural delivery is concerned - I've been reading like crazy trying to educate myself on everything from Bradley Method to Ina Maye Gaskin and Dr Sears. We have also hired a highly recommended Doula to help us through, and that may end up being the smartest thing we've done so far. I think the key to delivering natrually is a mindset and educating yourself which so many women here just don't do. What techniques are you planning on using? I'm always interested in any new ideas to help me through L&D

Heather-08-01 - Tuesday, 22 July
When I started taking the EPO I began with 2 500mg capsules - 1 orally and 1 vaginally. Then I stepped it up to 3 capsules the day I turned 37 weeks (@ that point I did them all vaginally) when I turned 38 weeks I went to 4 capsules (I do 3 vaginally and 1 orally simply because 4 vaginally made me feel like I was leaking oil everywhere!). Warning, you will ooze oil at night, so I recommend you put a towel under your hiney while you sleep to catch the overspill - I sleep nude so it's a problem for me. Good luck, for me, I want NO part of induction so anything I can do to help my body do it's thing naturally I'm all for it (so long as it's safe for my little guy of course!).

Heather-08-01 - Monday, 21 July
Hey, read your comment about the primrose oil - honestly I can't say for sure - I started using the oil about 1.5 weeks ago, and I'm not sure if it's doing anything or not - I did start losing my plug not long after beginning to use it. The thing about the oil is it won't help your body do anything it's not ready to do naturally. So, in my thinking if your cervix is now ready to begin softening I don't see why the P.O. couldn't help things along. I asked my OB about it and he doesn't have any faith in it, but said he didn't see anything wrong with trying, so there are no risks as far as I can see. I haven't been checked internally since I started the P.O. regimine (before that I was 1 cm dialated but my cervix was still thick) so I'm curious to see what's happened between the 2 examinations. Good luck!

beckaboo - Monday, 21 July
now u told me you were gonna let Rhys come on his own time, then I read your comment about starting Primrose Oil? No way sista!

beckaboo - Monday, 21 July
Hi Kendra, I went to the dr this am and wanted to touch base with you. My dr has scheduled Pitocin for me July 29th. She wants to induce, because baby is getting big, I am exhausted and need to get back to work. My dr dont think I will last that long and I pray she is right. Lord knows I would rather use no Pitocin. Finally, there is an end in sight. Any news with you my dear?

beckaboo - Saturday, 19 July
Date night? I miss those. Enjoy! I can't beive your dr dont do internals til 40 weeks. Thats just crazy. Tell your dr you have been feeling alot of pressure in ur cervix and cramping in your uterus. I bet they do an internal, but if ya dont give them a reason to, why should they? I am cramping alot now, gotta go relax. Went walking this am with hubby and Alexa and barely made the hr walk..

beckaboo - Friday, 18 July
the pains are the baby getting ready to see the world :) Your uterus and cervix are doing alot of overtime now. So if you go out Aug 1st, I assume you will go back Nov st, correct. Thats about when I plan on going back :) I was in the hosp last night, my dr wouldnt induce me. I was so upset and feel so helpless being pregnant. I go see her for a Dr appt Monday, so I plan on asking her to schedule an induction date. If I go sooner, great, yet I am planner and need to get things moving along now.

wedward **PINK** - Friday, 18 July
Not much progress. Cervix has softened since last week, but still 1/2 cent dialated. I know that it can all happen in an instant though. I have just made the decision to enjoy everyday that I have to myself right now, b/c it won't happen again for 18 years. I'm taking long walks with the dogs, getting pedicures, swimming with my neices. Just really pampering myself and being a little selfish. I'm not working so I really am lucky that I can sit back and relax and have nothing to stress me out. I feel really blessed.

beckaboo - Thursday, 17 July
yeah, I too get those dang shooting pains, especially when walking. I was nervous walking an hr all by myself this am. I almost had my hubby bring me into Bellevue today to get looked at. The pains and discomfort ARE becomming unbearable and I do need to get back to work

beckaboo - Wednesday, 16 July
He cut you off? LOL I can see both your points

beckaboo - Wednesday, 16 July
Progress? hahahahahaha. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I am just trying to relax and enjoy this time alone before chaos really strikes, hehe. My daughter takes alot of energy and time, yet 2 of them will be twice the work. Lets see who pops first, you or me :)
