tiffjoy - Wednesday, 16 July Since we are getting farther along and our cervix is beginning to thin, when we have sex it can cause more softening and vessels on and around our cervix to bleed, so that is why you bleed or have pink/blood tinged discharge after sex, the same goes for after the doctor checks you. Its normal and a good thing :o)
wedward **PINK** - Tuesday, 15 July Hey there!! Just checking in on you to see what's new. Still prego I would guess. Me too. I go tomorrow for a check though. Last time I was a half cent dialated but still thick. Hopefully things have changed!!!!
beckaboo - Friday, 11 July How di d ur Dr appt go yesterday? My hubby used to be a Graphic Designer. Now he is a Database Administrator. It sucks we both are in the same boat and need to get back to work, but yet we are both so very blessed to pregnant at all. It will all come together and the money WILL fall into place. You must be a planner like I and like things organized at all times. I can tell that is why we both think the same. 7/11 is a good day to have a baby :) My husbands company picnic is today, so we will head over around 3, after I pick up my daughter, It should be fun. xoxoxo
beckaboo - Wednesday, 9 July fluid on one of his kidneys? sound scary, but I'm sure the drs will monitor properly. You are lot like me, with my first born. I worked up til I the day I popped, lol Sucks that we are not able to enjoy maternity leave in this country. I am so anxious to get back to work. Being the breadwinner SUCKS. When u are at the crossings, you will see a design of the waterpark..my husband designed that...small world. Take care
beckaboo - Tuesday, 8 July Walking at the Crossings will be perfec! We used to go there when we were single, no marriage or kids. Did they build the indoor water park? What kind of dog do u have? i went to dr this am, she says I am 2 cm and if I want the baby out to walk 2 miles today :) I am on my way for another walk (already walked this am). God, I'm ready
beckaboo - Saturday, 5 July God, I wish Brenna would come. I go to the Dr Monday. I have been off my bedrest (per me) the past few days. You are right, if she was born now her lungs should be developed. Everey day I think will be the day she arrives. I am just so anxious to have her, hold her, love her, nurse her and get back to work. Lord knows the disablity checks are worthless. Do you feel pressure in your cervix? Is Rhys knocking at the door? I am still out of work, but am getting up each morning to go for 1/2 hr walk. Alexa loves to walk too ;) Do you walk? If so, we should take the new additions to our family for walks when they are born. I try to stay as fit as I can. With 2 kids it will be even tougher. You still working?
lebedkat - Wednesday, 2 July You are very lucky to have such a doctor. Hopefully she'll be there for the delivery. In the hospitals all the care is provided by the nurses and the doctor just shoes up for brief check ups, if any, and then for delivery. A lot of women will not get a doctor that they see during their prenatal visits at all.... which is said. I wish you luck!!! an unmedicated birth is an important step, but very difficult to follow in the hospital envirement, the medication is too close...:)))) and believe me it gets REALLY tempting. Whatever happens - be open options, the main thing not to think that you failed..... I am hoping for water birth ("gentle birth") at home, I just pray everything goes moothly
beckaboo - Tuesday, 1 July How you doing today Kendra? Thinking of you. Hope all is well with you and Rhys Foster :)
21yrmommy2be - Tuesday, 1 July i just got this stuff today called xcid, i was trying to find something that wasnt chalkie, b.c that just makes it worse... i took some earlier wen i started getting the burning and it seems to hav helped so far, so well hav to see if it keeps working, but if it doesnt ill deff. try that... thanks!
beckaboo - Saturday, 28 June Hi Kendra, Yeah, Brenna sure is impatient. I spent the night in the hospital Tuesday night. She was coming and the dr said no, not yet. I started having contractions after work and when I got to Bellevue Hospital they gave me every drug in the book. Most were not working, until they dosed me with morphine. I have been on strict bedrest and they have me taking Terbutaline to relax my uterus (because it wants to contract). So I am in bed now, on my laptop and boy does bedrest suck. Soon, this will be over and we will be blessed with our little bundle of joys Hows things with your pregnancy?
Heather-08-01 - Thursday, 26 June My baby gets the hiccups AT LEAST once a day - usually twice and it has happened 3x's in a day! Sometimes they seem to last forever - about 1/2 an hour a few times. I've never heard that it could be what you're eating I thought the hiccups were a way for them to get ready for breathing (I could be wrong). I HAVE heard that if you have really bad heartburn and indigestion that it could be a sign that your baby is going to have a reflux problem as well (and could be triggered by something being eaten by mom) - that too could be false, but it's what I've heard.
tamaramcmanus - Thursday, 26 June thank you i will have my doc check my iron thank you ,,,,
wedward **PINK** - Wednesday, 25 June Doing great!! Ready to get on with it you know?? The only thing I need to do is wash all of the clothes. Hey, are you going to do the HYpnobirthing? I thought I saw you discussing it with someone at one time. I am going to get the book. I really want to try to go naturally. Is that what you are thinking too? After taking the childbirth class, I really want to acheive that goal. How are you? Any problems other than the givens with pregnancy??? I have my last u/s on Friday and am looking forward to seeing how big he is and if I am thinning out.
Beckaboo - Monday, 23 June Yes, I totally think I am going early. The way my morning was going, I thought today was the day. No such thing as bed rest is correct my dear, lol I go back to the Dr Thursday at 8am. I know I am further dialted and an anxious to know how much. I'll keep ya posted. xoxo
Beckaboo - Monday, 23 June My weekend was great! Had Alexa's BIG 2 b-day party "The Wiggles". She loves them guys :) My hubby gets back Wed 7pmish. Do u have your hospital bag packed? Mine is ready to go. I swear I was going to go in labor today. C'mon Brenna, hurry up ...lol
Beckaboo - Monday, 23 June I was going to call you over the weekend, yet forgot your real name. Is it Kendra? SOrry, I have a bad Memory. Mine is Rebecca :)
Beckaboo - Thursday, 19 June He gets back Friday night, but has to travel again on Monday (til next Thursday). My mom is coming over tonight to mow the lawn :) Whens your hubby get done with school?
Beckaboo - Thursday, 19 June Yeah, I purchased short term disability, so I get 60% of my base salary (I am in sales so thast only half of what I bring home, minus taxes). Then I get the $170 on top of it. Trust me, with a $1600 mortgage and $400 car payment, thats 2k, plus I need to pay 1k for my medical coverage=3k per month. With the disablity $, I am only getting about 960 per month. Its a joke. The more I think about it, the more it angers me, lol, so lets not talk about. Instaed lets just bend over and let them give it to us. (Not like we have much other choice) :)
Beckaboo - Wednesday, 18 June http://www.nyhealth.gov/nysdoh/chplus Yeah, sucks I dont qualify either. Oh well. Hey, we are trying with no avail
Beckaboo - Wednesday, 18 June yeah, we totally are getting screwed. It makes me feel so under appreciated. Family Health Plus is offered through the social service office. I am not sure if Child health plus is the same or not. However, its not a bad idea you just raised. Since we are not LEGALLY an employee we should be able to get benefits while on disability. Let me look into it on my end and you do the same. We will compare notes.
Beckaboo - Wednesday, 18 June you are so sweet, thanks :) What are you doing for work? SO I assume you plan to work up until the day you pop, like me? Its not like we have much choice. I have a question for you. How long are you taking with Rhys Foster? ARe you getting state disability for 6 weeks? If so while on it, does your company continue paying your benefits? I ask becuase I am 100% vested (they pay for all my medical benefits now) and when I go on disability they want me to pay for my medical (1k per month). Is this legal? We have 24 employees at our company. Would your husband know? Get back to me, becuase they want me to sign something (paper work), and I dont want to sign anything without knowing my rights. Then I have to use my 2 weeks of PTO and company will match (advance my PTO), so I will be in the hole my first yr back to work. It all seems so unfair. I got ur # and will call you one day soon (no, not when I go into labor, becasue we'd probably both end up going the same day)....lol
Heather-08-01 - Wednesday, 18 June Glad to know I'm not alone! Yeah, I think the super woman thing is really the issue - women and husbands of women who opted for an epi or some other form of pain relief feel like you're trying to trump them by going natural, when in fact you are just trying to do what's best for you and your baby. Just out of curiousity, what are you doing in preparation for a natural birth?
thatch - Wednesday, 18 June I got my primrose- quest make in a health shop!
mj - Wednesday, 18 June you can buy your primrose oil over the counter in the vitamin section...
Beckaboo - Tuesday, 17 June Hi Sweety, Yeah, I'm "supposed " to be on bedrest, lol I am at work still. Being the breadwinner, I dont have much choice. Soon I will go out or maybe do half days. We will see. My husband is out of town for 2 weeks so I will be alone and caring for my youngest. Its alot of work, and very tiring.
