Beckaboo - Wednesday, 19 Mar Jonah is a good bible name :) Rhys is ok, but I like Max. Its strong, but both J-Lo and Christina Aguillera named their kids Max. With Alexa I took the baby names online and wrote down the names I liked. I then practiced shouting them (when I get mad). If it sounds good, do it! lol Oh, and the weather is dreary for sure....
wedward **PINK** - Tuesday, 18 Mar I love your dancing baby!!! One of the reasons I want to have the shower earlier is b/c I am registering for my nursery decor as well and I won't be able to decorate until I get my stuff at the shower. My friends are planning it for May 17. I am also going to look at a nursery set this afternoon that I found on Craigslist. It is beautiful. Not your run of the mill set. Originally it was very expensive she says. We'll see. She is asking $500 for crib, chest and changing table and I am taking $450 with me. Wish me luck!!!!!!!
Beckaboo - Tuesday, 18 Mar Congratulations! I'm so happy for you and your Ryan :) Any names picked out?
bambina2come - Tuesday, 18 Mar congrats on the boy!!!!
tamian - Monday, 17 Mar Congratulations on the boy news! We are girlward bound. How are you feeling???
wedward **PINK** - Monday, 17 Mar Congrats!!!!!! One for you and one for me!!! How much did he weigh? Just curious. I am having my last u/s on Thurs and want to compare. Is he kicking you alot? Pierce is going to be a soccer player I think. He wakes me up every morning with his good morning, get out of bed mommy kicks. I love it! Also, I saw some friends this weekend and they are going to give me a shower. Do you think 29 weeks is too early to have a shower? They were going to have it at 35 weeks, but I thought that was too close.
katykate - Friday, 14 Mar Thanks for the info on the whole cam corder deal. Yeah- i saw a video on youtube and this couple brought in their camcorder and recorded the u/s. I was like 'Thats a good idea!' Hopefully, i can! It will be something neat to look back on you know? Good luck with everything! Keep me updated!
alexes - Friday, 14 Mar that is exactly how it has been for me too this last week. nothing much and then lots of baby movement that is 'for real' this time!
:o)
Beckaboo - Thursday, 13 Mar Hi Kendra, YEAH!!!!!!! You can feel the baby move. Thats awesome! Its refreshing to know the baby is just fine. Monday is right around the corner :) Craisglist is a hit or miss. Remember you are not in a hurry. Post what you are seeking (if you havent alreday). This way, people that are looking to put things on can see if anyone is looking for it before its posted. DId ya try Ebay? I'm gonna look there now for a Trundle bed for Alexa. Trundles have the little beds that pull out (for when she has friends stay over). They are SOOO expensive. In fact $600 with no mattress. I have to find a cheaper one. Thats too much for me.Ebay here I come!
Beckaboo - Tuesday, 11 Mar Kendra, A great place to look for used baby furniture is 'Craigslist'. I got Alexa's 'Bellini' crib and dresser/bookshelp for $300. What a steal, and its gorgeous. When I was prego with Alexa I never felt her moving and I too got nervous. When you lay on your back, jst sit there and you will feel a flutter. Its not gas, its the baby :)With this pregnancy I am more in tune with my body. You find out sex on Monday, right? YEAH!!!!! Keep me posted. Oh and let me know what ya thought of the store. Craigslist and Ebay are also good places to bet used baby clothes. Reb~
Beckaboo - Thursday, 6 Mar our due date is both Aug 6th :) I copy n pasted this form what to expect when your expecting.com... Week 18: Fetal Development: Baby's Nervous System This week your baby is about five and a half inches long, crown to rump, and weighs about five ounces. And fetal development has reached the stage for you to start feeling those movements some time in the next few weeks — so get ready! This week your baby is hitting the height chart at five and a half inches long (remember, that's crown to rump) and weighs about five ounces (the weight of that boneless chicken breast you're making for dinner).
And now for the skill of the week (drum roll please…): The art of the yawn has been mastered by your baby (someone's sleepy!). In fact, you might catch a glimpse of that adorable yawn if you're getting an ultrasound this month. You'll also catch a glimpse of all the movement your baby's doing — twists, rolls, kicks, and punches. And would you believe your baby is finally big enough for you to start feeling those movements now (or anytime in the next few weeks). So get ready!
Something you won't see on the ultrasound, but you'll know is in working order, is your baby's nervous system, which is maturing rapidly at this time. Nerves, now covered with a substance called myelin (which speeds messages from nerve cell to nerve cell), are forming more complex connections. And those in the brain are further specializing into the ones that serve the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. Talking about hearing, your baby's is growing more acute, making your little one more conscious of sounds that come from inside your body (which means you could both be listening to each other hiccup — a skill that your baby has by now).
Beckaboo - Wednesday, 5 Mar The 17th you find out the sex? St Pattys day :) MY g/f is finding out the sex of her baby too that day. ARe ya hoping for anything in particular? Yes, I feel Brenna Rae moving around quite often. Yes, we have her names picked out (unless Darren wants to change the name). We will see. Yes, def check out that thrift store. I drove by this weekend and peeked in the window. Very Nice
Beckaboo - Tuesday, 4 Mar Hola :) We found out yesterday we are having another little girl. We are so thrilled :) You asked about baby consignment stores. There is one worth checking out close to you. Its on Curry Rd in Rotterdam. Its # 1310. I didnt see a name or #. Good Luck :)
wedward **PINK** - Saturday, 1 Mar Hi Kel! How are you doing this week? Any news? Have you been to the doc lately? I just registered for my nursery decor and bedding go to http://www.babysupermall.com/main/products/coc/coc7035-788.html if you qre interested in seeing it...
junecleaver - Saturday, 1 Mar Thanks for the comment about my son, yeah he keeps saying sister when we ask him if he's having a brother or sister. I heard chamomile tea is good for pregnancy headaches. Have you tried any? So your baby's heart beat is in the 140 range? I think mine is very fast this time. My doc didn't tell me the rate last time but I know it was a lot faster than my sons heartrate. Hope you have a headache free weekend too! talk soon :)
junecleaver - Thursday, 28 Feb Thank you for the advice... these headaches are driving me insane. It's pretty cool that were due on the same day. are you hoping for a certain gender? I don't really care this time around but for my first I wanted a boy very bad. I was blessed to get him. Hope you headaches subside soon :)
ja312sta - Wednesday, 27 Feb Oh no my husband is going ot be so jelous that you have a Lab. He just loves them and is begging for one all the time. We are going to find out what the sex of our baby is on March 13th. It just seems like forever away to find out. I guess we will just have to be patient. I feel like our stories are similar we should keep in contact.
mumofsix - Wednesday, 27 Feb Thanks for the comments you left me. All the best for your precious bundle that you will start to feel sometime soon. It will happen.
ja312sta - Tuesday, 26 Feb My husband and I thought it would take forever to get pregnant too. When I feel my baby move it reminds me of a fish or something like that. It happens often so you might have felt it too. Everything is so up when the air when it is your first...well at least that is what they say.
jessnkirk - Monday, 25 Feb hey well the doctor is keeping my due date to july 29 but he says im 18 and 1 day, so i dont know how i shold fix this on line
wedward **PINK** - Saturday, 23 Feb We are celebrating! We just found out that we are having a healthy baby! No sign of dyslasia at all, in fact he is measuring a little big. He was so active yesterday. I drank coffee before the u/s and he was literally bouncing off the walls! It was so fun to see! Now I can really start planning and looking towards the future. My mom went shopping yesterday. She is so excited. The wheels are in motion for my shower now. We are so blessed!!!!!!!
prittigrl01 - Friday, 22 Feb Thanks for the suggestions! I am going to call my doc and tell him whats going on. The headaches just started my 2nd trimester. I didn't have these in my first! It's hard to sleep because my pillow feels like a rock! What we go through to have our precious baby's! Have a good day! Thanks again.
We are in Bucks County , Pa. About 1 hour north of Philadelphia. We have wimpy snow this year, nothing major to speak of! We keep hoping for a blast of snow, but it never arrives. Very mild winter down here. I hope you are feeling well :)
