DebsandGrace - Sunday, 26 October
Grace is doing well and is gaining weight slowly following bf difficulties. She now weighs 7lb 9. She' a happy lovely little darling who makes the day fly by. It does take time for you both to get over the birth and talking about it helps. Mine wasn't as trumatic but it still plays on my mind. How's Grace's cold? Its one of the downfalls of the colder weather and we also feel for them more being so young and small. Hope you're all well! xx

alishaB - Sunday, 26 October
Grace is going to enjoy so much running the fields & finding places to make cozy forts! What an idyllic place. Do you have animals?

Im hoping that because of what I have had to go through this week i will have a quick & beautiful delivery. I am ready for anything though & just cant wait to met my daughter & look into her eyes.

I hope you and Grace feel better! Stay warm & snug.

alishaB - Saturday, 25 October
Thank you for checking your very kind! Had lots of strong contractions all last night that have completely stopped. This baby is just fu&%ing with me!
I threw my back out & my uterus is so sore from contracting. I'm going in on Tuesday for sure for the cervidil if she doesnt come by then. T thought I'd maybe wait until Friday but forget it.

Im in total nest mode-cleaned from corner to corner including the frige...so Im keeping busy. How are you and Grace doing? Are you loving motherhood?
Your property is absolutely gorgeous & so serene, perfect for raising a baby! Where do you live?

alishaB - Friday, 24 October
Thank you. Yes she has dropped and as of monday I was only 1-1.5 cm & 30% effaced. Maybe shes just not ready but the false alarm killed me & made me so much more impatient than I was.
My doc has helped, she gave me a sweep on Monday which caused all of this mess and she is willing to do a cervidil induction on tuesday. I, like you am all about going natural & never thought I'd be in a place to welcome an induction. Im just sick of getting fatter & fatter & feeling contractions that are going nowhere.
I really appreciate your support:) I'll keep ya posted:)

Thank you. I haven't heard anything about how to dry up my boobies so the Sudafed thing I might try!

alishaB - Friday, 24 October
Oh you're sweet but she didnt even budge! I did the drops every hour. Im beginning to think its all a trick & there isnt even a baby in there! Im so frustrated i could cry. Ive tried everything.
Thank you for your contraction thoughts:)

The blue cohosh has a dropper but the black is in pill form. I think 2 pills is 549 mg, Ive taken 3 since 6pm. Im taking 10 drops of the blue each hour with water. Thank you for your help!

Hi, I read your post & birth story...wow what an intense birth!! You are very strong.
I just bought some blue & black cohosh & was wondering if you could help me with the proper dose. i cant find anything online & the lady at the herb store just said "If you havent given birth its for a reason" i wanted to punch her. ive been having contractions for days & lost my mucus plug Tuesday morning & just want to get the ball rolling...but safely. Any advice would be very helpful. Thank yo and congratulations on your baby girl:)

oh ok- thanks! it does seem to be that she's crampy and uncomfortable. i just think it's hilarious that she thinks my boob will go anywhere she goes! lol. i will try taking her off and propping her up. thanks!

maestraloca - Monday, 20 October
That's awesome! Have you lived there your entire life? I used to live in Washington State here in the US, so my mom would take us up to Victoria to go shopping, and many weekends were spent in Vancouver. I love Canada. So beautiful, and pretty nice peeps too!

rachbaby - Saturday, 18 October
thats a great idea to actually get in the bath with her! Thanks for the feedback! Do you notice if your baby goes to the bathroom though while you're both in the tub, or do you just deal with it?!

Diaper blowout! Been there, I dont get it, you are right..how is it that poop can come out of the diaper...I dont know. I have to wash the onesie, the bedsheet and the blanket sometimes. Ohh if Iam "lucky" I get to wash my shirt too! LOL

Cailet - Thursday, 16 October
A onesie is a tshirt that buttons down between their legs, so the shirt doesn't come up. Like a leotard gymnasts wear. A sleeper is an outfit with arms and legs, so it keeps the baby warm.

Sorry about the political comments. It just irks me when people vote here emotionally, and then try to get others to do the same. They vote how their church tells them to vote. It is sad. Ah well.

My husband and I talk all the time about moving to Canada. If we didn't have my step-babies here, we probably would have moved there years ago. Where exactly do you live?

maestraloca - Thursday, 16 October
My Hannah Grace has pretty explosive poops too! You're using cloth diapers? That's awesome! I used them for about 6 weeks, but Hannah was getting terrible rashes from the detergent they use (we were using a diaper service) so we had to switch to disposables. Bummer. Sorry environment...

joannemichelle - Thursday, 9 October
My Maddie will be 7 weeks tomorrow and she weighs about 11lbs 2 oz. At 5 weeks she weighed 9lbs 13oz.
When Maddie was born she weighed 8lbs 2 oz, so I'd say your little one is growing FAST!

Hi there, I am cloth diapering. When you say the covers get dirty, do you mean poo dirty? What kind of covers are they? I use bamboo one size diapers (meant to be used from birth to toddler years) and my covers come in small, medium or large. I am currently only on the small and I have only 2 of them. I only wash (machine) them when they are poo dirt or once a week. In the meantime, I wipe them down with a wipe. If they smell bad, I wash them earlier. They are made of some waterproof material so the pee doesn't wet, dirty them every time. I also alternate my covers to let one dry.

I dont think there is anything wrong with a soother.I was totally against them until i heard that they help prevent SIDS,they develop their airways and sometimes, some babies just need something to suck on and if they arent given a soother, they will suck on their hand or something else so if they are going to become dependant on sucking on something, then they will.I heard as long as you take the soother away around the 6 month mark, you shouldnt have any problems.I figured that i would rather my daughter have an orthopedic soother so her teeth didnt get destroyed when growing rather than her sucking her thumb or something and possibly make her teeth grow wonky.I guess, weigh up the pros and cons and go with what your heart says.
