Cailet - Wednesday, 14 May Congrats on your boy! I hope everything goes smoothly for you! I am always hesitant to say if I have a preference, because of the reasons you stated. People start to assume that you HAVE to have the boy or girl, and you won't be happy without it. When in fact it's just a simple preference but you are going to be ecstatic either way. With my first two I REALLY wanted girls, but this time I honestly didn't have a preference.
gr8scottswife - Tuesday, 13 May Wyatt Earp and Jessie James.
gr8scottswife - Tuesday, 13 May Wyatt James is an outlaw's name. How could that sound gay? The people you are around are nuts. That's an adorable, manly name. I love it. I hope you stick with it.
jessiezc - Tuesday, 13 May I think Wyatt James is a fine name. I don't know why people think they have any right to say anything about the name you've picked. It's so rude. Seems like it happens a lot. No one made a sound when my sister named her baby Rebecca but the second I mentioned the name we picked out everyone suddenly got loud and opinionated. Now, after holding my ground, everyone says that it's grown on them and they kinda like it now. And besides, I went to prom with this reallly sweet and good looking guy who's name was Wiley Boone. His last name fit that name perfectly, but aftre the initial shock of hearing his name, no one cared. And Wyatt James can't be all that bad compared to Wiley Boone.
kirstie - Tuesday, 13 May i just read your post and i love the name!! it was my second choice!!! :D and it doesnt mater what people think, its your child!
scaredmama - Tuesday, 13 May Wyatt James is a very nice name. Just like people told me don't let others tell you what to name your child!! They got to name their children. I love the name!! Congrats!!
2babys-under2 - Tuesday, 13 May I read your post about your babys name and I can totally relate. I love the name you picked. It's adorable. I created a name using part of my maiden name and part of my husbands name. And we love it. But everyone else hates it and no one is shy about letting us know either. But I kind of like the fact that no one else likes it, it means it will stay unique : ) And yes, it is rude to voice an opinion about that. It drives me nuts.
Congrats on your baby boy!!! I hope your pregnancy is going wonderfully!! Have a great day : )
*Baby-Mine* - Friday, 9 May congrats on your baby boy!!

mrsbotti07 - Tuesday, 26 Feb Hey there congrats on the pregnancy!
maelia - Monday, 11 Feb Yes, that is what made it real for my husband too. He is not easily excitable. Although he is excited about being a father, I don't think he will really kick into gear until I start showing. Ain't that somethin'??? Anyhoo, hearing that heartbeat really made me put things into perspective and realize just how much this little guy or gal is depending on me. It helps to make me a little less selfish knowing that it is not just all about me now. You HAVE to tell me about your first experience when the time comes.
maelia - Friday, 8 Feb Hi lilli1317. I had a scare today. I was having some serious abdominal pain - doubled over. I called my doc and she called the ultrasound place and made an emergency appt. for me. I went there and they gave me a sonogram. I saw my little peanut in the uterus (where it is supposed to be) and we actually saw its heartbeart and she turned the sound up so we could hear it too. I could not help but cry. It was so special to me. However, had I not had these pains, I would have probably waited forever for my first sonogram. It is a magical moment. My husband was with me. I can't stop looking at the pictures! I am officially 7 weeks tomorrow and my first appt. is still scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12th. I will keep you posted. I think the pains I am having is a UTI, so my husband ran out to get me some pure cranberry juice and I am sucking that down, and water and I feel better. My doc will treat me for it officially on Tuesday. She verified my due date is 9/27/08. The heart rate was 123 bpm and she said it measured normal.
maelia - Thursday, 7 Feb Hi lilli1317 - my first prenatal appointment is on Tuesday, Feb. 12th. Let me know how your appt. goes today. As of now, we have the same due date! Congratulations!
mommy3(2b) - Tuesday, 5 Feb well congrats on your pregnancy and your new job! You didn't do anything wrong so take a deep breath. I would start the job and see how it goes. you'll know when the right time to tell your new employer is. chances are, they will be happy for you, then together you can work out a plan for the time you will be out, and you'll feel some relief. good luck (remember this is not an unique situation, it happens all the time!)
