Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Mommy-hood is great! Especially now that we are in a routine and things are going well. I recently learned that Tali still loves to be swaddled! I thought that when she was a few days old that she didn't like it because she would fight it. But a few days ago I decided to try it because she would always take out her pacifier and then get mad because she didn't have it. And guess what, I can now put her down to sleep swaddled and with a pacifier and I don't hear a peep from her! PLUS she sleeps for 1-2 hours instead of 45 minutes maximum!!! So that at the end of the day when we put her down for the night she isn't so over tired that it takes us one hour to finally get her to sleep. ahhhhh! It gives Frank and I that precious extra time together. Have you gotten your period yet? Not me yet. Frank and I would like to try for #2 starting February. We originally wanted to aim for all spring/summer or fall babies, but if this would actually work out it would fit right into our business projections. Anyways, besides that things are well. I'm a little lonely during the day sometimes and where we live outside the city, I really feel like I'm missing out socially. Not that I was super duper social and going out all the time or anything, but just being at work and feeling connected to society seemed to make a difference. I'm going to a play group on Wednesday and hopefully meet some other mommies! Thursdays I go into town for a Mommy's walk. Sometimes we are up to 15 moms and babies. It's great we pick a different park every week and work off our tushies while our babies relax and usually snooze away in their strollers! That's about all for now!

Talk to you soon!

I can definately relate! Tali never got formula either, but that can did come out a few times! The one thing about giving a bottle I found that we got all worked up about how much she was drinking. That stress is now gone! Also it took me a good week and a half to wean off of the pump. At the end I was pumping way too much and ended having a hindmilk-foremilk imbalance and Tali started getting green poos again because I was not able to have enough fat in my milk. I was so engorged when I got off the pump, I was pumping 5-6 oz each boob every 3-4 hours. I also got clogged ducts and minor mastitis from weaning off the pump. We still have the trush :( After 3 different meds we finally found something that works, but does take some time. I think as happy as I was to finally breastfeed I know that Frank was disappointed. It's like he doesn't know what else he could possibly do while being with her or help me out in other ways. As soon as she cries it's like oh she must be hungry...as if that's the only thing that could be going on! MEN! Anyways after all this work to finally get her to breastfeed I think I'm going to be one of those mommies who lets the baby decide when she's ready to wean herself! I know what you mean by few and far between as far as persistence goes...the first few days at the hospital the nurses were all in awe about how hard I was trying and not giving up!...little did they know it took much more than a few days... :) Take care!

I feel really good! Mommy life is really good!!! Im tired but its SO worth every moment of lost sleep! My little pumkin got a cold from daddy so he has been kind of cranky but other than that he is my little angel! He is already attached to me haha so I can't imagine how he is going to be later on. I love him so much its insane!

How are you and your princess?

Thank you for your comment to me in the breastfeeding forum. I will be trying the finger massaging - hopefully it will help us too. I'm sorry you went through that with your little one, but I am encouraged by your experience....I'll keep trying...

Congratulations on breastfeeding!!! I'm so happy for you and can totally appreciate the effort it has taken for you to get that far!! Tali finally started breastfeeding at 8 weeks too...after about 5 weeks of pumping and feeding. Luckily once she was strong and ready enough she just latched on like a pro. For me it took two lactation consultants, a speech pathologist to help with mouth exercises and a nervous breakdown! I also had thrush which is painful. At first we were using the sheild then I got thrush and had never heard of it...I thought it was breastfeeding causing this pain. She was also feeding for a really long time and would still not be satisfied at the end. I had no idea at first I thought things were going okay. We figured out she was just not strong enough with her mouth. It's crazy how many ups and downs and tears were cried over this, but perseverance paid off! Anyways, congrats and I am totally sharing your glory!

Im so excited. Emerson cut her first tooth today!!! I felt it when i was putting gel on her gums before she went to bed. That explains how unsettled she has been. How cute a little tooth. Hope she doesnt bite me!
