moni7 - Wednesday, 2 July Thanks! I guess I am finally having some symptoms. Congrats to you too.
gr8scottswife - Wednesday, 2 July There's one other thing that I've read that helps--watermelon. I haven't tried it myself as my ankles have only swollen (twice) when I've had fewer than 5 bottles of water per day. You could try it and let me know.
wilsonwilson - Wednesday, 2 July I hear you totally, was up last night with a tummy bug but wow I feel crappy this morning. I am sure you will get there and by gum you will know when you drop, please keep me posted *hugs* x
Mommydaisy - Wednesday, 2 July Hi, thanks for the response. That's a good idea. I probably could find something less expensive that would work just as well. I don't think I have any small pillows like that at home. Guess I'll have to look around some. 37 weeks, wow! Almost time to meet your baby, how exciting! Congrats and good luck!
pregoteacherorlando - Wednesday, 2 July Your doctor sounds like mine! It's so frustrating! I guess they just want things to occur "naturally". Easy for them...not for us! Well, good luck! I hope you find out something soon!
wilsonwilson - Wednesday, 2 July Hi, I saw your post in Q&A and would like to say that keep your feet up for the swelling as I am sure you will have to pop in and out to the toilet. I remember my first pregnancy and the 'DROP' I picked up a light 5 year old and sat her on my bump and bam my baby dropped with a shocking effect I was in labour the next day with her. So may be if you have to strain to pull yourself up form the sofa or something the muscles will become tight enough for your baby to drop. I hope I have been of some help to you and wish you the best of luck and a pain free labor x
gr8scottswife - Tuesday, 1 July How much water are you drinking? The reason I'm asking is that drinking tons of water will help the swelling go away as it carries out the sodium from your body. That may be a better idea than lying with your legs up a lot.
AChance2Dream - Tuesday, 1 July After all the stress and crying we just decided to stick to our current lease. So I had to unpack our ENTIRE place!! It was horrible and I am paying for it now. I was on the verge of tears last night becase I was cramping so bad! and today my feet are so swolled and I couldn't sleep last night because of my feet and back!! I am never doing that again!!!
How are you feeling?
MamaCas29 - Tuesday, 1 July no, putting your feet up won't keep the baby from dropping...
Caracaya - Monday, 30 June It sounds like you have the usual braxton hicks contractions. No need to time those. They are just for practice to tone your uterus and might also assist your cervix in dilating and effacing. Trust me, the real deal is a whole lot more painful.
CanadianNat - Monday, 30 June ya, I'm hoping that I don't have it either...but this is not nice either way.
CanadianNat - Monday, 30 June I literally am going insane today..lol. I have this rash thing that just started as a couple of what looked heat rash bumps at the top of my stomach last week and now they have flattened out and spread all over most of the top of my belly..it is sooooo darn itchy I'm going to go crazy. I'm not sure what it is but I read about this PUPP's thing on here and it may be that. I'm trying to get ahold of my doctor to ask her about it but there's no answer. Have you had anything like this?
CanadianNat - Monday, 30 June I'm feeling pretty good so far...can't complain too much yet..lol. My little one has finally found my ribs since yesterday so that's been different to deal with..it makes me jump whenever he/she kicks me there...lol....must look weird to other ppl. Ya, I'm just quiet and shy..not a out there ppl person unless you already know me..meeting new ppl and actually trusting new ppl is hard for me..dunno why. My mom is annoying..lol..but she is always there for me so I can't say that that is the same situation as yours cuz I think your mom lived away from you right? Mines more like the daughter and I'm like the mother..lol..And my bf works all day long so I'm alone a lot cuz I don't know a lot of ppl here where we live either...which sucks! then when he does get home he's tired and just eats, showers and then usually falls asleep so it's not much fun for me until the weekends. And I'm not working either...so days are very boring..lol. Thanks for the offer to listen to me whenever I may need a ear..that's very nice. How are you doing today though? I believe you are overdue or pretty close to your due date..can't remember which one it was when I was on your page...are the doctors going to induce you soon or let nature keep taking it's own course?
carlybarleyx - Sunday, 29 June lol honestly hun I dont blame you. My bump is measuring 38 weeks already so i'm soooooo uncomfortable and my Braxtons are so annoying! sometimes they actually hurt but they're never regular and just disappear into nothing in the end. Obviously I want baby to stay in for now as thats the best place for it but I am so ready to not be pregnant any more! Oh well, at least you know it will all be coming to an end soon. they say SPD goes as soon as baby is out. Do you know if they'll let you go overdue or induce you on your due date? Luckily due to my SPD and pre eclmapsia they are happy to induce me at 38 weeks. xxx
carlybarleyx - Sunday, 29 June Yeah its all good. I dont know why I was worrying about the movements getting stronger, they are so strong it actually hurts now! I have SPD though which is incredibly painful and a real pain in the bum! I cant believe how little time you have left! I cant wait to get to that stage. How are you finding it all? Are you all ready for baby? Could come any time now! xxx
CanadianNat - Saturday, 28 June Hi, how is your pregnancy so far? I was reading all of your preggo journal entries and what you wrote about how you were feeling on Jan 30 sounds exactly like me and my situation..it was kinda freaky actually....lol
carlybarleyx - Saturday, 28 June Hey hun OMG cant believe your 36 weeks already! Its gone so quick! How are you feeling? I saw your post about feeling constantly hungry and I'm the same, I really cant eat enough at the moment! Carly 31+2 xx
Allioop - Saturday, 28 June Hi. I saw you answered a question regarding a postive ANA test. I just got the results of some blood work (actually faxed to my office by mistake) that indicate a positive ANA with a titration of 1:80. I haven't had a chance to discuss any of this with my Dr yet. I am being closely monitored because of 2 previous m/c and 1 premature birth. I also had another child born full term at 38 weeks. I have no symptoms of any auto immune disease but may possibly have a thyroid problem. I've read that thyroid problems can cause +ANA tests. Any info or insight you might have would be much appreciated! Also I'm on baby aspirin therapy---did your Dr. have you on anything during this pregnancy?
