CanadianNat - Tuesday, 15 July Hey! How are you feeling? Anything new happening yet? xox
carlybarleyx - Monday, 14 July Hi hun, hate to ask but any sign of that baby yet??! xxx
ChristineA - Monday, 14 July Hey there! Still hanging in there? Any dilation?? My doc still hasn't checked me and I don't get the impression she's going to! My last appointment on Friday I was asking a bunch of questions on induction, she said she'd let me go up to 10 days after my due date as long as my amniotic fluid was abundant. But in the same breath said that I probably wouldn't get there...how can she say that if she hasn't checked me?? I'm going to ask her that question this Friday when I go back. Did you ever get the Nestle diaper bag etc?? Anyways, it's raining here finally! It's been so hot and dry...our poor, poor lawn! Funny...we never seemed to have that problem living on the west coast...our lawn was pretty well all moss! Hope things are good with you. Take care! Christine
crazyforkids - Sunday, 13 July Hey thanks for the reply! really helps that people here understand and want to give advice to us newbies! Im gonna double check with my doc to make sure things will be okay as i took mine out because of infections ... thanks for your advice!
Mum2-3 - Saturday, 12 July Hi, I guess that makes sense then with your situation. I thought if you didnt have any problems and things were fine... how lucky are you to have a doctor try to help bring on your labour. Anyway good luck with your bub and your delivery I hope it happens soon for you!
mamabare30 - Friday, 11 July oh good, so glad to hear that you worked it out with ryan :) it's never fun going through stressful feelings, especially not so during later pregnancy.. so i'm glad that you're feeling better about the whole thing!
and let me say - LOL! about your dream!! that is too funny :D i've had loads of dreams, but none as of late, and we've also stopped talking about the name too... we're sort of ignoring it for now!
if you want a great book to read. pick up baby proof by emily griffin, she's a really great story teller. i read a lot of stuff and like writers for different reasons but she has a knack for the relatable character. anyway, i don't know why i thought of it, the book has nothing to do with wanting to have children (in fact it's the opposite) but thought you might need something good to read while you incubate over the next few weeks!! ;)
AChance2Dream - Thursday, 10 July Haha yeah well I guess just the thought of it isn't very pleasing. Oh well I am sure once I am there it wont matter and plus I am planning on a epidural. I am a receptionist. Yeah I guess I would be the same way. I wish I could just be at home but then again I think I would be like you and think that everything was me going into labor or something was wrong. I decided though that if for some reason they put me on bedrest or they say I can't work or whatever and have to stay home I am going to make the baby a book and maybe do scrapbooking or something to keep me busy so I don't go too out of my mind.
CareG - Thursday, 10 July That's amazing! I have a mural on my wall that my girlfriend designed, based on the animals in our crib set. It's such an amazing personal touch to the nursery I think!
CanadianNat - Wednesday, 9 July LOL! Oh lucky you...can't wait to see your little baby pics!
carlybarleyx - Wednesday, 9 July Lol ok I wont tell you to keep active then lol. Apparently the more you do, the more likely you are to go into labour! Have you tried all the usual? xxx
CareG - Wednesday, 9 July That's great! I'm happy for you! Quitting smoking sucked, it was MAD hard. So props to you, and to your man!
Oh I'm so glad, I thought "oh, no, I sound like an a-hole!" I noticed stuff about boiling everything posted in other weeks and stuff, and some people at my prenatal class here in Ontario didn't seem to have any idea about the BPA thing, which I couldn't believe! In terms of your partner and the smoking, I am on the same page as you in terms of my own quitting. My partner doesn't smoke, but I did for 10 years before I found out I was pregnant. And I smoked A LOT! Maybe you could just talk to him about how unhealthy it is for the baby to be held by someone who stinks of cigarettes. I mean, I have a friend with a 3 month-old who never quit smoking, and it makes me so sad to see her holding him when she's just come inside from a smoke. Washing your hands and brushing your teeth isn't enough! If he's going to insist on smoking, maybe you should keep your clothes separate from his so your don't gain the smell? I mean, you can only do for you....but it is important to find a tactful but firm way to tell him that his habit isn't healthy for the baby, and that your desire to see him quit has nothing to do with you. hope that is helpful!
CanadianNat - Wednesday, 9 July Hey, thanx for my blog comment. I really thought that I would be lucky and not get them...lol...what a fool I was! Now I have to be on guard about it (even though I'll try not to be, i know i will) I'm guessing that stupid steroid cream didn't help matters much though since it said right on the directions for it..this product thins your skin out!!! LOL...ya, like pregnant women need help in that department! Sorry to hear about yours and I'm hoping that mine won't get too bag like you said yours didn't...sigh...oh, I'm really hoping that they don't and that yes, in fact, all this ugly is really more like a badge of honor for our babies. Ok, so..on another note...how are you feeling?
carlybarleyx - Wednesday, 9 July I know, poor you! But at least they'll only let you go a week over, they let you go at least 14 days over here. Are you feeling heavy? xx
Just wanted to say I was not trying to be preachy about BPA, you weren't the only one who had posted about boiling the bottles and stuff, and I think those warnings about it are really only made public here in Canada (they aren't in the US at least, as cousins just brought home an adopted baby down there!). Hope I didn't offend you!
BabyMuffinsMommy - Wednesday, 9 July beautiful preggo belly, you look preggo girl!!! :)
carlybarleyx - Tuesday, 8 July Hopefully it means that your labour wont be too long. The tighter they are, the more effective they are at pushing baby down the birth canal. BUT hate to burst your bubble but as its you first, be prepared to go overdue! I went 17 days over with Abby. But all the same it does sound like things are happening with you. Really hope its not long! Its so frustrating isnt it? xxx
carlybarleyx - Tuesday, 8 July I cant believe they sent you home! It sounds like labour to me. Go back and make them do something! xxx
AChance2Dream - Tuesday, 8 July Awww I am sooo looking forward to my showers!! I am with you though, I wouldn't have had a shower if no one was going to throw me one. I am happy that both my sister and davids sister said they would throw me one.
Haha that is so sad! Your poor feet!
Well just think of it as practice and that means you are probably getting ready to have her!! Your body is just getting in some practice runs
I know what you mean I was watching the baby story this morning and everytime someone would have their baby and start crying I would start bawling with them...haha aww the powers of pregnancy. Honestly I am not worried or anything about the delivery but I am honestly disgusted with the idea of delivering the placenta haha how lame! It just does not appeal to me at all!!! GROSS!
Awww you are lucky!! I am planning on working as far into this as I can. Time will tell!
