sparklemum - Thursday, 23 October Hope you and Erica are well ,what is she up to ? Lily is fine growing bigger daily. I am very tired what with bump ,lily and work . Lily likes it at my mums which is fine as she gets spoilt. My hubby misses lily and is sad he didnt get to see the bumps first scan .He will not be home for the next scan which is a real shame . We are not fully in to the new house and there are boxes everywhere . I put on the scan pic ,but its not so good as lily's. Keep in touch ,chat soon :)
sparklemum - Tuesday, 23 September Hi nice to hear from you and you finally got your plaster off thats great ,it does take a while for you to get back to full strenght. Erica is like lily into everything crawling ,sitting ,climbing the stairs and her latest is walking with her sit on toy . I am back to work and mum is looking after lily . I am very tired at the moment what with the pregnancy ,i go for my scan on 10th oct ,i wish it was over as i just want to see the baby is ok and get past the risky time . I am 10 weeks now . I know what you mean about having to put things off ,every time i go to do something i hear lily cry or she wants up . I am moving into a house in the same city as my parents ,that is all going to take place on 7th oct. Dan will be home for 5 days from end of the month. Dan home from posting on 21st dec. Keep in touch ,speedy recovery .
sparklemum - Thursday, 28 August What are the chances of you both breaking your arms ,so its a case of helping each other out .Hope you recover soon . I am due in April ,not had my scan yet . Lily has a cold at the moment so she is not a happy bunny . She is into everything at the moment ,nothing is safe ,you want them to crawl ,then when they do you wish they couldnt crawl lol !! She is now climbing up onto whatever she can hold onto. How is Erica doing ,keeping you busy i bet .
mtnwoman(shelly) - Thursday, 21 August OMG! You broke your arm!??! That totally sucks! I bet it gives you a whole new perspective on people who have to do things with only one arm. How big is Erica now? I just had Riley's 6 month appt. yesterday and he was 15lbs 9 oz. So he is growing nicely, but not too big yet. But I couldn't imagine having to lift him with only one arm!
Our wedding went nicely. Perfectly, actually. It was gorgeous weather and everyone had fun swimming and playing in the water. The water was a little cool for Riley still, but we had a little pool just for him and he enjoyed sitting in that. Ri did get his first cold though and I feel terrible for him. His cough sounds bad and this morning he had a bunch of gook running out his nose. He doesn't seem to be too bothered by it though. Well, I hope your arm heals quickly and Erica is forgiving if you can't pick her up as easily!
sparklemum - Wednesday, 20 August hi i hope you are all well ,just thought i would let you know my news ,i am pregnant again a bit of a shock but what can you do . It is still early days so i am trying to keep a level head about things ,we are hoping it will all go well ,we will have to wait and see . Lily is doing fine on the move now crawling and standing up against furniture ,its all go and very busy ,back to work soon
AshleyD - Monday, 18 August I have added a babyname poll, please vote I need help :)
leahsmom - Thursday, 31 July Hi! Just wanted to check in and see how you and Erica were doing with her allergies. Leah is 4 1/2 months now and is doing much better. She still has some symptoms if I have milk or ice cream but is fine with other dairy products. I don't limit soy at all. In fact, I have given her some soy formula recently and she seems fine with it. I am still nursing her and we also started on some rice cereal and bananas this week and all is well. How are things with you?
mtnwoman(shelly) - Monday, 14 July Thats so great that she didn't cry on the plane! I think I would worry about that, with the pressure and everything. I've never been to Niagara Falls, I bet its pretty cool, but I bet there is alot of people too! I'm a bit of a country girl, I like to stay away from crowds as much as possible. :) Well, I hope Erica starts letting you sleep a little more. But then again, they are only this little for so long and then they wont want to be close at all! I can't believe how fast they are growing up and changing. 5 months! Well, our newest thing is that Riley is going to have legitimate parents soon. We are getting married August 16th at my family's Lake Cabin. It should be lots of fun! The only tough part so far is dealing with the soon to be In-Laws. They are not much fun. We are seriously considering eloping just to make things easier and so we dont have to deal with them! Ha, well, anyways, we are doing well though. :)
kacie85 - Friday, 4 July hey girl we are doing great. how are yall doing? hope yall have a great fourth of july. be safe.........:)
mtnwoman(shelly) - Tuesday, 24 June Hey! HOw are things? We just tried cereal with Rileys bedtime bottle and twice he has slept through the night! Last night he was up at 1:30, but I'm hoping that will become rarer and rarer! Is your little fish doing better?
Traviesa - Friday, 13 June yes. we r now on prevacid and reglan. however my son is starting to like cry for food more often....and i know that hes overindulging,,,but he will not take the pacifier from me!!!!
Traviesa - Thursday, 5 June yea I can't wait to see the GI specialist...because I feel like his reflux is getting worse..but he's not taking any medicine..so I don't want to give it to him unless it is absolutely necessary. I haven't been able to go to a health shop yet since there is not one by me.
mtnwoman(shelly) - Wednesday, 4 June Oh yes! The morning smile especially melts me and all the frustration from little sleep the night before just goes away in an instant. Oh, and Jeff has totally said the same thing! I had a rough night one night with having to get up a couple times, and Jeff wakes up in the morning and goes "wow, he must have slept all throught the night!" I could have kicked him!
I'm glad she is having fun swimming. Does she get mad when you have to get out of the water? Riley is starting to really get an attitude when i take him out of the bath and wont stop "yelling" at me until i feed him.
mtnwoman(shelly) - Wednesday, 4 June We are doing well. Hopefully the rice will help her sleep! Ri wakes up about 1 time anywhere from 1:30-3 to eat and then sleeps the rest of the time. We put him down around 8pm. We just moved him to his crib in his room instead of the bassinett by our bed. We are all sleeping ALOT better that way! I dont wake up to his every noise now and he likes the extra room to toss and turn in. But Erica definitly needs to start sleeping more! Mom needs her sleep too! Do you guys just take long naps during the day? I don't think I'd be able to work if I still had to get up every couple of hours. Good luck and hope the rice helps!
leahsmom - Wednesday, 4 June We are doing great. I have added back in cheese and some dairy ingredients that are in baked goods. I have also had small amounts of butter. The only day that it seemed to bother her was when I had a slice of cheese pizza. Probably just too much for her to tolerate. The doctor said to go ahead and reintroduce the milk products over 2 weeks and watch carefully to see what she can handle. I am still going to avoid drinking milk though. After that I can do soy products for two weeks and take it from there. So far, so good.
kacie85 - Thursday, 29 May hey how are you and the lil one? did the colic get better? did you get that med i mentioned? hope everything is well
sparklemum - Thursday, 29 May Hi seems you have had some difficult times what with feeds etc . It can be really demanding when they get problems .Lily used to choke ,she would be sitting and then out of the blue just gag.Our doctor said that the milk was too weak for her and it had to be thicken ,so it would stay down in her tummy .We were told to put a sachet of galviscon in her bottles to thicken up the milk ,it does work but we had to half the sachet as it made her constipated. The galviscon helped her and she had to go onto hungry baby as she was not content on stage one .
She has started to take a wee corner of a rusk and a little baby porridge ,sometimes ,she likes it other times not.
I am glad that Erica is starting to go down in the cot for you ,it not good if you dont get a proper sleep . I had to go on iron tablets after lily was born as my count was low ,i finished them ,but now the tiredness is back ,so i have to start them again . I have had the baby blues ,and have spent alot of time at my parents ,but now i am feeling much better thankfully . I never knew just how much my life would change and just how difficult it could get at times .I feel very lucky i have a great support network around me . My husband is going to England for 6 weeks to do his HGV Licence and then he is off to a place just outside Iraq . He is in the RAF. He will only spend another 6 or less with us this year ,he will miss out so much on lily .
I have seen the jumperoo they are great ,hope you get one . I bet you are well excited about your trip to Canada ,i bet you will have a great time
Well keep me posted on you and Erica ,hope Erica continues to do well ,take care ,chat soon :)
leahsmom - Thursday, 29 May I know what you mean. I wish I didn't have to go back to work either. I have 3 more months off with her before I have to go back. I feel fortunate to have that long and to only have to go back half time. I think since my husband will be home with her it will be okay.
I got the results of the blood allergy test today- negative for all of the foods tested. Which either means she is not truly allergic to the foods, just intolerant or that she just got false negatives. I have not talked to the doctor yet about how they want me to proceed at this point. It all just seems like such a mystery sometimes.
sparklemum - Monday, 26 May Hi nice to hear from you ,how is Erica coming along ,what is she up to ? Lily doing fine, she has just started using the door bouncer and loves it . Just starting giving her bits of solid foods ,some she likes ,some she doesn't. My hubby is going to be away for most of the rest of the year ,so he will miss out on lily so much . I still miss being pregnant ,which i find funny . My cousins wife who had her baby on the 29th feb this year is pregnant again ,so i will be following her pregnancy with great interest . Do you find that Erica changes daily, they grow so fast ,as they say they dont stay babies for long . Keep me posted with Erica and yourself . Take care :)
