Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Laura Ward - Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Bri - Tuesday, 24 June I don't mind but I don't know what to tell you. We started in the tub at a month old. I think that has a lot to him crawling at six months old. We worked up to him going under water and such. We'd fill the tub higher then you normally would so he could get the feel of a pool. All the things that kids get scared of when in the pool. When we finally moved to the big pool we sat on the steps and played. We moved down each step until he couldn't touch. I held his belly as he "crawled" in the water. It was really cute. I think you just need to let your baby goes at his time and do what he wants. Both my husband and I are water babies. Like I said before I learned to swim before I could walk and my husband wasn't far behind me. We both did comp. swimming and he is a master scuba diver. Water is a big part of our lives. Hope you and your little guy have fun learning. Oh and there are mom and me swim classes you can take too.

weeblette - Monday, 17 Mar Thank you for the advice on the sun lotion. I found one made by Aveeno. It's a 55 for babies over 6 months but I will try it anyway. It's really only for added protection for when we are in the shade anyway. I couldn't think of anything worse than letting Izzy get burned even in the shade. Luckily my husband is not a sun person so he won't be outside all that much and she can hang out with him when I want to suntan. Again thank you so much for the advice!!
shewill5 - Wednesday, 5 Mar I started my kids out on rice cereal and then worked in bananas and apple juice. It seems like oj might be kind of acidic on their little tummies? I have a 15 & 12 year old and a newborn. Things have changed alot over the years especially all of the advice and I am just doing what seems to be tried and true over the long period of time. My baby's Doc totally agreed with me on that too :)
cassandramarie - Wednesday, 5 Mar hi how are you i read your post about solid foods. my daughter is 9 weeks and i asked the doctor about starting solids like rice cereal because she isnt satisfied with her bottle...he said the requirement was 4 months or 13 lbs. my mom started all her kids at 2 months on rice cereal. have you thought of doing that first?
lori18 - Sunday, 2 Mar I have never herd of giving a 3 month old oj and banana but you could if you need to like if the baby does not seem full give him baby cereal start with the rice cereal you should not give baby any thing else till around 5-6 months
belle - Thursday, 28 Feb Even when your baby is 6 mo. or older, oranges and other acidic fruits can burn and redden yor child's bottom. most pediatricians agree that (watered down)juice is given after 6 mo. Unless he is sick or something and your doctor tells you to give clear liquids only. Even then, pedialyte is what you should give. Also, it is best to start with rice cereal because there is almost no risk of intolerance. Our doctor recommended starting Charlize on a tsp rice cereal with 6 oz. formula (also 1/2 oz. of extra water)at 7 wks. She had reflux. It helped some. She's much better now, but I think she's just growing up.
juliasf - Wednesday, 27 Feb According to my pediatrician, she highly recommends NO SOLIDS until 6 months due to allergies- not just food allergies. There are a lot of new studies out on this now. I also have a big baby- a girl weighing 9 lbs 10.6 oz and 22.5 inches long at birth! She is now 4 months old weighs 15 lbs 14 oz and is 26.5 inches long! Best of luck to you! :-)
samj - Saturday, 9 Feb i think sometimes i worry too much, if i dont get him into a routine, then he will have trouble when he is older, but at the moment, he goes up when we do, about 10ish at the mo, whether he sleeps then is another matter, and he then we get up between 8 and 9, but i think i just need to try go more with the flow and as u say observe his patterns etc. Altho ive tried to keep him awake sometmes during day, and it is almost impossible! he is a sleepy head in day..
