I want to but I'm just like....as soon as I test it'll be BFN and then AF will show. I really want to wait until Sunday and if I don't start by then I will test. Thanks for the comment. You kids are beautiful!

hi mamacas26, i've heard very different things, it is only the placenta that can smell not the cord, the cord is left alone as should the cord stump if you cut it. the placenta can be salt treated or as you say have herbs like lavender put with it but generally it doesn't smell and when it only takes 3 to 7 days to fall off it doesn't really get time to smell. and if mine does smell, i think it's something i can live with for a better connected and energised baby. thanks for your message. and i will definitely let you all know how it goes. smile

So if my temp drops does that definately mean I'm not pregnant or could I still be pregnant? I'm scared to take my temp in the morning now! ARGH. I won't test until next week now don't worry. How are you?

Wow, I wouldn't have thought of doing it that way, but what a good idea! It'll be a while for me, yet, but I will keep this in mind. Thanks for the info! :)

That's really cool about your homemade baby food! I'm sure there are more nutrients in your freshly-made food than store-bought. May I ask how you made it, and if you bought jars to store it in somewhere?

I have read your birth story...wow. thanks for sharing all that you experienced! especially the early labour pains\feelings.

brandi j. - Monday, 14 July
lol...it was actually hardest for me when I only had 2 children as well. I find it gets somewhat easier as God adds more children to our family! Yes, We do want more children after this one! Your children are adorable.

Hey, I checked out your page and I can't seem to find your birth story!

Thank you!! I was really worried about it, but he really is thriving while on the foods and formula. (We had trouble getting him to gain weight, so I had to switch to bottle/formula) He is doing great with this stuff, he isn't throwing up almost at all, he seems to really enjoy it...I know it was probably a little too early, I had a home visiting nurse for the first 2 months, she calls now and then to check up on us and I told her about this..she was like "oh no!" But then I really explained all of his "improvements" and she was like, well every baby is different and you know him best, if he is tolerating it and is thriving, what harm can it be causing? I have only fed him a few different foods (bananas, pears, sweet potatoes and we tried squash - he hates it!) I think he will be fine, I just wanted some input and more of a reassurance for my own benefit!! thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I am more worried it will hit broncitus level again if i dont get some treatment as i have asthma anyway. i went off the zinc tabs which prevented it as doc said to stop them and now probably will get everything going. I dont even have any ginger or honey in the house but i do have lemon. cheers for your advice though. :)

THANK U SOOOOO MUCH! I REFUSE TO GIVE UP...SYMPTOMS SEEM A LITTLE BETTER TODAY...I ICED IT, TOOK IBUPROFEN, AND THEN A HOT SHOWER FOR AN HOUR...SHE SEEMS TO BE NURSING BETTER OFF THAT SIDE NOW AND IT'S NOT NEAR AS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR ME...I HAVE TRIED ALL NURSING POSITIONS AS WELL...HOPEFULLY EACH DAY WILL BE BETTER...I KNOW THE FIRST WEEK OR TWO ARE THE TOUGHEST!

Thanks for the advice. I have thinking I am going to try the Fenugreek - I hear it will help w/ the milk production as well. I haven't heard of the Mother's Milk tea. I live in a small town in east Tx, and believe it or not, we do not have a LeLeche Organization anywhere near here. No lactation consultant either. I'm just winging this. I do drink tons of water so I've got that covered. I am pumping or feeding 6 times a day, which is about as much as when he was little. The milk is simply not there. But like I said, I'm going to give the fenugreek a try and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice!

HEY THERE, THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT THE PICS AND MY GIRLS NAMES, I LOVE THEM AS WELL - MAYA AND ZOYA. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION - MY HUSBAND DID STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY IN EUROPE BUT HE DOES'NT DO IT PROFESSIONALLY, WHICH I THINK HE SHOULD CAUSE I THINK HE'S GREAT. IT'S MORE OF A HOBBY.
I LOVE THE NAME EMMA, IT WAS ONE NAME I WAS CONSIDERING BEFORE ZOYA WAS BORN. I SEE THERE IS ALSO A BIG AGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR KIDS, THERE IS 9 YEARS BETWEEN MAYA AND ZOYA. HOW IS EMMA AS A BIG SISTER?

i rad your story .. you are so so brave... i want more than anything to be able to do it.. im so terrified of what it means tho harry was nearly 10lbs and it took me three years to brush the damage under the carpet enough for me to function properly.. i am just so so scared of giving birth but im also terrified of being cut and being scarred even more... im just having a bad day thinking of it really..

wish i had your strength.
x
