Well, I kinda feed on cue. Like when my two older children showed that they weren't satisfied, then I started them when they were ready. I never started my kids on the cereal first because it does put the weight on them so fast. I always started with apples and let that ride for a few weeks, and now my son is 4 months and he's had bananas and apples that's it. They do say 4 months or "assisted sitters", some people on here say 6 months, and some say ALL they need is milk till they're a year. My son used to be up for a few hours after nursing, whining and now with the fruit then nursing, he'll sleep for those few hours and is much happier. I don't really go off the newest studies they put out every other week. My two older children were fed before 4 months and they are perfectly healthy. My son has doubled his birth weight but he's also grown over 6 1/2 inches taller since he was born. My doctor has said his height to weight ratio is very normal and he is very healthy. His diapers have changed in consistency but never been irregular. I just believe you go off what your children need especially when it comes to nourishment. People's children are different and some mature dietary wise faster than others. My experience has been great so far and I will keep doing what I'm doing because it's working for my son. Plus, as soon as they start crawling and trying to walk, they do need those extra calories and any "extra" weight they may have melts away. I wouldn't wean him off milk because they do need that still, but introducing a "step 1" fruit right now will greatly help to soothe him. It's like my son can't tell me he's not satisfied with words, so I have to interpret his cries and do what's best for him. As mothers that's what we all want. Your son is adorable, and I wish you the best of luck.

Oh yeah, don't let some of these women on here make you feel like your wrong for doing what you feel is best for your child. They really do try to push their beliefs on you sometimes and it can be discouraging, but don't let it bother you! Have a Merry Christmas and God bless.

Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Hi there :) On my last OB visit I'm measuring almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule but they won't change my due date as size doesn't necessarily mean that our little girls lungs are fully developed etc. We could just be carrying a lot of water or our LO's are on the larger side. I will find out how big she is on Monday 7th ! I can't wait, get some more pictures of her. How have you been feeling? I've had a lot of pressure, back pain and swelling. I continuously wake up throughout the night with either arm/hand sleeping/tingling. Drives me nuts as I can't get a good nights sleep.
