KIWIMUM - Wednesday, 30 April You are still looking good for 17 weeks, I think I was bigger with toby at your stage and I have twice as much room on my frame for a baby let alone 2. Can't wait to see you in june, you'll be huge by then, so exciting. And you will have had your next scan so we can go shopping for baby stuff, so much fun.
Helly - Wednesday, 30 April Well done on the twin action, glad you've had a relatively good time of it so far! I'd recommend getting a good pregnancy yoga dvd for the achy back - long slow stretches seem to be the only thing giving me relief at the moment. You certainly don't look "ginormous" (my hubby and friends joke about twins with me, but I've been defending myself by saying, "No, look - I'm not very big, and I feel good!", so after reading your blog - whoops! Anything's possible.) ;) he he he
red-kelly - Tuesday, 29 April Hi Manda, how are you going these days? You sound rather on top of everything which is great! We have been flat out selling our apartment last week and moved into a new place, we were lucky to find a nice flat close by. I'm feeling really tired though not too sure if its from the moving house stress or because i'm 4 months along...who knows. Is that red hair I see on Justin? kj xx
NZmum - Monday, 28 April haha my bump isnt so little now! home to nz in a month so no point buying summer maternity clothes here when im going to a miserable nz winter. do twins run in either of your families? i'm enjoying the 2nd trimester, tiredness has improved dramatically and generally feeling good about life. take care, chat soon.
kah - Thursday, 24 April Awe… How cute! Yeah I guess healthy is the way to go since there is only a 50% 50% chance. :D I will have to stay tuned to see what you’re having when you go to your next scan. Be sure you drink / eat something sweet so they are active and show you something. :D
WOW… I can see what you mean. Moving wouldn’t be that much fun anyways while you’re pregnant. Happy upgrading :D
Glad you had fun with your Nana… You two probably needed the normality since all the news. :D Have a great time with your in-laws and eat well! I will definitely post our results granted our lil bean gives us a show. :D Take care!!!
red-kelly - Thursday, 24 April Hi Manda, congratualtions on the twins!! How exciting for you! About the baby bump being bigger at night time, I'm definately with you on that one, though I've been telling myself its just cause I've been eating too much for dinner. My bump is getting semi serious now....it can still pass as my own cause I like to wear comfy unclingy clothing and hey, lets be honest here, I always have had a belly of my own, no getting out of it! Nice to meet another downunder-er here, I'm from oz.. love kj xx
kah - Tuesday, 22 April And the dog eh… LOL I bet they are excited. WOW I will definitely have to be on the look out on your site for you big 05/09 scan :D Yeah seems long but it will be here before you know it. Can you remember when we first started talking that was almost 3 months ago now? I thought time was slow then and WOW here we are talking about finding out the gender. I should try the old wives tales. Sounds like great entertainment. I will have to post my finding before 04/30 and then see what the real deal is. :) LOL With your wives tale results looks like you are having one of each! Do you & Justin have a preference on gender? Yeah… safer bet to look and see for yourself huh? Hope the lil ones cooperate for you when you go! Yes, I am so thankful m/s has taken a backseat to pregnancy! Glad to see it has left you too! A much needed break right :) That is wonderful that you spend time with your Nana! Let alone live close enough to visit her. I bet she is thrilled to be seeing you and your pregnancy progress. I am sure those few extra stops in the Baby store will be a great addition to your shopping spree. BTW how is your house shopping? Now you’ll need even more space :D New house new babies… Great year for you and Justin!
kah - Tuesday, 22 April No worries! Looks like pregnancy is treating you good! Has the fact that you’re growing two lil beings settle in yet? Yeah a bump… you’ll be seeing a bigger one shortly… (your bump is cute)Especially with the twins, you’ll need more room for them :D Yes… 2nd trimester has been a blessing… I am glad to hear it has been nice for you too! Have you been able to tell your kids about your pregnancy yet? Are they excited that there are two? Awe you should start to feel them shortly. LOL for me… mine feels kind of bubbly and no gas that follows :D sorry if that was TMI! So do you know the gender of your lil ones? Do you want to know? We tried today… No luck… Lil bean wanted to crossed his/her ankles and touch knees… So all we got to see was some really nice shins. LOL Hope all is well and I look forward to your next blog :D
KIWIMUM - Sunday, 20 April So cool, yay for you preggy lady.

So you have met olivia, my nanny friend who is over seas, for got that you guys met at my hens night. So have you had to buy maternity pants yet, I was in them by ths stage with Tobes and you have angus and malcom in there, surely you have had to go shopping.

KIWIMUM - Wednesday, 16 April Hi manda, sorry i haven't bben in touch, i got really sick. my episotomy got infected and the tissue around it gave up the ghost which has resulted in a 3cm deep 5 cm long hole in my perinuim. Had to go back to hosipital for treatment on friday went back on monday to check progress go back again on friday then wekly after that. Have been on massive amounts of codine, panadol and nurofen plus 2 types of antibiotics. Am feeling so much better now, didn't realise how sick I was till I started feeling better. So nice not to scream when I pee again now ( no I'm not exagerating). Hope your going well...where are your belly shots, I want to see your progress. One of my friends has joined she is due a few days after you, she is NZmum you'll have to pop by her page and touch base.
manda-may - Monday, 7 April Not feeling nauseas very often now. Slightly more energy I think, well I seem to be able to stay up a little later if I try. What is with all the bleeding noses and stuffiness though?!! Honestly?!! Goodbye one symptom, hello another! LOL But otherwise, all is well and have another midwife appointment on the 29 April, and our 20 week scan on the 9th of May. Very exciting. Can't wait to see the twins again and see what they are up to... and to see if we can find out their sexes. That would be great to know - give them a bit more identity really. Soooo much going on. Lots of decisions to make - and it all sometimes gets a bit overwhelming, for both of us. Know we will make it through ok, but this is all so exciting, scary and new, I expect we are just going through the normal emotions and reactions! Can't believe that there are two little babies in there. Very strange really. Well, thats all. xxx
KIWIMUM - Monday, 7 April Hi Manda, hope your good, birth story and photo's on my page. Talk properly soon :-)
my7thbabyduemay20th2008 - Sunday, 6 April Thank you so much for letting me know, I was so concerned about her, I obviously thought she had, had her baby, but I can't wait to find out what sex the baby is, and all the other details, give her my love and big hugs from me, Niki
my7thbabyduemay20th2008 - Saturday, 5 April Hi, I am a friend of Kiwimum, she has mentioned you to me before, and btw, congratulations are in order, twins!!!!! wow!! I have always wanted to have twins, don't ask why, just have, hehe. Have you heard anything new about Helen? she told me she went into labour, but the site went down yesterday, and I couldn't get on, I am so anxious to hear how she went.
KIWIMUM - Thursday, 3 April just letting you know that I have had diaohhrea and pretty sure mu waters just broke, enough to wet a pad, not enough to stress about prolapse cord....praise the lord.
KIWIMUM - Thursday, 3 April I'm so hopless, ment to text you all day yesterday to say happy birthday and never did. The phone rang all day with people being hopeful, people popped in to see how we were going and Mumand Dad arrived. They have headed down south futher to see some friends...making the most of there time off and no point us all sitting around waiting for something to happen. Love having them around tho. Hoping this baby will come soon. Lots of love Helen
KIWIMUM - Tuesday, 1 Apr That all sounds good, nice to have the reassurance that all is ok. Yes people can't help but touch you, I hated it in early pregnancy as I would think to myself 'thats not even baby your touching its fat and internal organs'. Don't mind it so much now, strangers help themselves but you know they are just excited even if you do feel like a budda when people rub your belly for luck. The dress up sounds cool. You'll have to turn your pregnancy into a project so the kids get it. Mum and Dad arrive tomorrow but will go visit some friends if nothing is happening. Oh ment to say that I almost always have a trace of protien to much info but it can show up if you have a bit of viginal discharge and you get lots of that at different stages of pregnancy....gross! Well must away, need to get some sleep as am awake to pee every 2 hours and then am usually up for a 2 hour block during the night to, just my body getting used to no sleep. Big loves
KIWIMUM - Tuesday, 1 Apr Waiting to hear how your appointment went. It was me that sent the pushchair, I don't have my own trade me account so it comes from Jims. It's like you sending your Mum cats....expect a few emails like that. Big loves
KIWIMUM - Saturday, 29 Mar Hi Manda, Thats great to hear, glad that it is all becoming real and not as freaky as it could be. I know you were meeting the bank today, so I hope that went well and they were full of good idea's and helpful hints. Still no sign of lumpy, I am at the point now where I'm ready but can still manage this for a while longer, lumpy growing bigger alarms me ever so slightly. I dear say that the new born clothes I have will fit for the first week if at all. Hoping that I get to see my midwife before our next appointment on tuesday. She also has next weekend off so am hoping that lumpy would ablige and come some time between now and next friday. Prewfferably not on the weekend and I pray not after the weekend, can imagine that I might be an angry lady by then lol. Have been watching a few movies as the video store has $1 weekly rentals on wednesday so have been making the most of it choosing movies that I never did get around to seeing. It's nice as I enjoy the rest and sometimes if I sleep in the afternoon it just means I'm up late that night. Jim brought a dirt bike and has been pissing off the neighbours being a hoon up and down the street. Somethings never change. Well I best get going, am tired today as have been cleaning the house yet again, feel like a time bomb and that time is running out, also Mum and Dad cross over on monday so wanted o get the house up to speed for there arrival. Lots of love to the 6 of you. Incubate well. xx
charlotte74 - Friday, 28 Mar I heard that if i was one egg then they are identical but if it was 2 eggs then they are not idencitical mind you i have been told so many different things!
We will just have to wait and see, are you going to find out what you are having?
x
kiwimum - Thursday, 27 Mar Hey chickie, Have been thinking about you lots over the past few days. Like you I'm sure I keep thinking 'TWINS'. I also wonder alot about your hed space and if you are coming to terms with your exciting and scary news. I know that in this life we are only ever given what we can deal with, bet you were surprised when this card was played. Your going to be an amazing Mum and you are so blessed that you have such an amazing support network around you. Justin is going to have to learn there is more to life than movie maratons and just how often the floor needs to be vaccumed :-0. I'm sure as he comes to terms with the news that he will step up his game for you. I also think about how you need to contact the multipul birth people club type thingy as they will be a great support network also and will give you tons of tips on where to buy two of everything for not to much money etc. It's such a cool time for you guys, enjoy your time together as just a couple too, thats what Jim and I have been trying to do lately and I have so enjoyed our last days ever as just the two of us, I look forward to being MUM and DAd with him but also feel sad that this special time has come to an end....funny the things you think when your all hormonal. Do you have photo's of the twosome? Hey as for names I'm leaning towards Milo and Otis, Laurel and Hardy, or maybe even beavis and buthead....what do you think....oh the options. Love you heaps, big hugs. PS: Jim thinks Malcom and Angus Young (incase it doesn't ring a bell they are the lead singer and guitarist brothers form AC/DC.) Helen, Jim and Lumpy who is never coming out!!!
charlotte74 - Thursday, 27 Mar Congrats i'm having twins too, not identical have their own sacs and plancentas i am 15 weeks 16 weeks on Saturday.... starting to feel a little like old me know!
