scaredmama - Thursday, 19 June Thank you for your advice... He isn't going to take my little miracle away from me at all...
ToveAndBrody - Thursday, 5 June Just dont eat for like 12 hours(about). Schedule in the morning if you can, have a regular/large meal say 9pm and then have that be it til you apt at 9am-ish. You can have all the water you want. You want your stomach to be empty so that when that suugar rush hits you, your pancreas will say..heck ther'e a ton of sugar here I better dump out the insulin. That will make you Blood glucose come right down and you will be normal for the test. That is if you dont have gestational diabetes, if you do it wont matter if you were fasting or not so you wont hurt yourself either way.
Beccawithboy - Monday, 2 June Thanks! I agree, I feel like I've gained 5 lbs of just boob haha. My dr. never makes any comment about my weight gain but I have two friends that are 5 and 9wks furthur along and have gained about 7lbs total. Everyone's different! Thanks!:)
*Baby-Mine* - Tuesday, 27 May :) thanks alot! we had alot of fun, and it WAS nice to take a trip just us two. Lord knows when that'll happen again! lol have you ever heard of that bbq place Corky's? we ate there, and it was pretty darn good! lol thanks alot, i love that name too. i'm so happy i got my way!! :P
*Baby-Mine* - Friday, 23 May hi sweetie, i just wanted to thank you for the advice yesterday. i did talk to my husband and was completely honest and told him exactly how i was feeling, all my insecurities, and that i really needed his support. he was very loving, very understanding and VERY apologetic about how he made me feel. then we did our thing! lol he was still worried about hurting us, but was more willing after our talk. things are so much better now. so thank you very much i truly appreciate it
*Baby-Mine* - Friday, 23 May you know that actually makes a lot of sense... i guess i can just suck it up and give him time if thats what he needs, and if it happens again i can just talk to him about it.... thanks alot, i really appreciate the advice. sorta turned on a light switch for me...
jponfitz - Tuesday, 20 May I agree, I feel like the babies room should be different
jponfitz - Tuesday, 13 May Thanks so much for the information, I think I have decided on the white furniture (all of our furniture in our home is dark) I will check out the safari bedding at pottyer barn. Thanks again!!
wilsonwilson - Saturday, 10 May wow a little boy that is fabulous, I bet you are so excited. Thought of any names yet? I can remember sitting in bed and thinking I can't go to sleep until I had a name and a middle name and I came up with Mollie Jane and I could sleep more peacefully lol. We bought a monitor where we can hear baby move as movements are not going as strong and hard as I thought they would but in time I am sure I will be up all night because little munchkin is having a moment of hyperactivity lol. My DH can't wait to feel the movements but feels more connected with the monitor but it is not the same as being able to feel movements. I did an intelligender test and it said girl, and I have had a couple of predictions saying a boy, so I have no idea what I am having, I will find out on the 29th May and am waiting patiently as I hope baby is so not camera shy lol. Have a good weekend and we will catch up soon xoxoxo
michellelaughs - Friday, 9 May Michelle FYI, I think that pic is photoshp'd (fake), I could be wrong. I just thought it was really cool looking anyway. Happy Mothers Day to you too!
2babys-under2 - Friday, 9 May Your welcome and Happy Mother's Day to you too!!
shannon917 - Thursday, 8 May It seems like all the mommies due in September are having boys!! I wanted a girl this time around, but I knew it was a boy (I also knew it was a boy the 1st time)...
My son is 16 months old. I don't think it's hard being pregnant and taking care of another child. But I bet it will as I get bigger. I don't really have any tips.. I mean no matter what you do or how many kids you have you're always going to be running after someone and playing. I have to say though.. I was BLESSED with my son. He goes to bed every night at 8:00pm, he's not a complainer, he doesn't cry, he likes to help get himself dressed, get shoes on, brush his own teeth and all that good stuff.. I honestly couldn't ask for a better child. He's really independent, which is GREAT and he doesnt have to be held or carried all the time. I've had him on a schedule from day one and I think that helps A LOT! I know when he's going to eat, potty, and nap so I can pretty much plan the day out and know when I'll get some me time(me time = relaxation) Just don't stress yourself out over the small things and you'll do just fine! I balance pregnancy, mommy, full time work, family, friends, softball, and many other things. You will be great at it and I'm sure you're husband will be lots of help as well. It's a learning process for the both of you. I hope things go well. Good Luck!
lizzypkl84 - Thursday, 8 May I hope she's not too big tho...I don't know if I can handle it...lol. The survey just copy it and paste in on your page..then fill in your answers. How are you feeling by the way?
michellelaughs - Thursday, 8 May Michelle- Have you seen the pic of the foot poking against the belly? Heres an image address if you haven't seen it, it really cute http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1328/1436136352_964c289e52_o.jpg&imgrefurl=http://jana739.wordpress.com/2007/09/24/cats-outta-the-bagor-whatever/&h=427&w=347&sz=70&hl=en&start=1&tbnid=alWy9DrpEE7zBM:&tbnh=126&tbnw=102&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpregnant%2Bbelly%2Bfootprint%26gbv%3D2%26hl%3Den
2babys-under2 - Thursday, 8 May 'Before I Was A Mom' Before I was a Mom I made and ate hot meals. I had unstained clothing. I had quiet conversations on the phone. Before I was a Mom I slept as late as I wanted. And never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday. Before I was Mom I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to lullabies. Before I was a Mom I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom I had never been puked on, pooped on, spit on, peed on, or pinched by tiny fingers. Before I was a Mom I had complete control of my mind, my thoughts, my body and all my feelings. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a Mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important. Before I was a Mom I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was OK. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much...... ......before I was a Mom. ...Author Unknown this one really is nice for mothers day. Good choice : )
*Baby-Mine* - Thursday, 8 May really?? i totally feel like mine is a boy! we find out for sure next week... thanks! i love it too. my hubby is so weird. HIS name is steven, but he doesnt like the "Junior" thing for a boy, but he's ok naming a GIRL after him! lol weirdo. I know Steven for a girl is weird, but i LOVE Stevie, i just dont like nicknames for whole names. any names picked out for yours?
*Baby-Mine* - Thursday, 8 May congrats on your baby boy! it sounds like the experience was absolutely adorable!
michellelaughs - Wednesday, 7 May Hi Michelle- If I knew before what I know now, I wouldnt discuss the name nor will I anymore but pretty much everyone close to me knows what It is unless I change my mind. Oh well. If I come up with a different name I will definately not be sharing. Are you having a boy or girl? Have you felt it move yet? If not dont worry. for me it happened the first day of week 20. I was like "Hmm, I wonder if thats her pokin in there" it didnt feel like a flutter to me, it felt kinda like a little fish floppin up against me. The next day I knew for sure cause it happened more and always in the same spot, below my bellybutton (where the baby is) and just about center, kinda low. then yesterday (the third day) she started bumpin hard enough me and my husband both got to feel her, bump,. bump, bump. It was the coolest feeling ever!
Shan - Wednesday, 7 May Hey, don't listen to the weights on those sonograms. They can be OFF so bad!! Like for instance, they can tell you you are having a 10 pound baby and you deliver a 7 pound baby like my sister experienced.
In my experience they've been wrong everytime with my babes too!
edawkins - Wednesday, 7 May Michelle-I'm so excited for everything that you and Matt are experiencing right now. Even though I'm not pregnant yet, I feel so blessed that I have been able to experience so much with you. I'll be here with you every step of the way!! : ) Love ya!
shannon917 - Wednesday, 7 May I read your message on the week 19 board. When I had my ultrasound at 18 weeks 3 days and they told me the baby weighed 7oz. The ultrasound tech said that's perfect and didn't change my due date. She said judging by his weight and size measurements he's right where he should be... so I'm assuming that being 7oz in week 19 differs from baby to baby. Other than that... how are things going with the pregnancy? Did you find out what you were having?
Shannon
cahlika - Wednesday, 7 May Hi there.. just read your post and thought I'd reply. I've never been told a weight in this pregnancy, or in any of my previous ones and I'd never heard of ppl being told till I found this website. I wouldn't worry too much, the general scan they use for dates is the 11-13 weeks one if you had it as the early ones can be inaccurate. I had one early due to spotting and it gave me a due date a week later than my dates which I was sure of. At the 13 weeks scan they changed it back to my dates as bub had caught up. So looks like your early one was inaccurate also and this one being your only other scan is more accurate due to size, length etc. :) If they are moving your date up a week then I'd change you EDD to that also and it just means that you're a week closer to meeting bub!! Congrats!!
wilsonwilson - Monday, 5 May You have a good attitude about it all, totally, but with hormones it is really hard to put into place. I feel a lot of pressure from here sometimes, but it is not getting to me because I know it is normal and I am happy. If you ever get a bad day with it message me and we can let it off our chest together. I hope your weekend has gone well, have a good week x
wilsonwilson - Sunday, 4 May Hi, I saw your comment about no movements yet and would like to say do not worry. I am on my 3rd pregnancy this far and I still haven't felt baby move yet and it doesn't worry me, a lot of people mistake it for wind or do feel movement but I do not expect to feel movement until week 20. You are not on your own at all x
*AJLS* - Sunday, 4 May Not until May 13th - and I'm not even sure they'll tell me... I think this clinic writes it down and sends it to your doctor! So I may have to wait even longer! Are you going to determine the gender?
