I am currently a mother of an almost 2 year-old very active little girl and we found out we are expecting baby number 2 in August 2008. This pregnancy was a surpise and not planned by us, but planned by God. I am a little nervous about this pregnancy because I was hit by a car one year ago and suffered a horrible fracture to both bones in my right leg. I have decided to place my trust in God. We are excited and can't wait to meet our little one.

We found out the sex!

So we found out we are having a boy. It will be nice to have a boy since we already have a girl. I pretty much knew it in my heart that it was a boy and would have been surprised if the doctor told me otherwise. We waited until the birth to find out the sex of our first child but I just couldn't wait for some reason this time. Now we just have to agree on a name, that seems to be the hardest for us.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

.

July 5, 2007

Can't believe we only have 7 weeks left until we get to meet our little man. We finally got the room ready and his clothes hung and the dresser painted. We have almost everything we need. I am still feeling pretty good just a few aches and pains once in awhile. So far I have gain about 20 pounds which I think is pretty good. I am still going to the gym 3 times a week (people look at me like I am crazy). I have also been swimming a ton which has helped my ankle and knee. We have an ultrasound on Thursday to see if my placenta has moved and I a feeling good about it. I really don't want a c-section so I am trusting that God has answered my prayers. We still don't have a name picked out for a little guy. Me and hubby just can't agree and the few names we do agree on we can't seem to come up with a middle name. I am sure it will all work out in the end

Can't believe my little guy is already 14 months old. Time sure went fast. It was a really rough 1st year with his acid reflux, constant screaming, and waking every 1.5 hours for the first 6 months of his life. Things are so much better now and he is a pure joy. He is a funny little guy. McKayla loves being a big sister and just adores her brother. I must say that I am surprised how they fight already though. I am so proud of both my kids and love being a mom.

Things are going pretty good with this pregnancy. My first was much easier but I don't have a lot to complain about. My leg is bothering me a little but not as much as I thought it would. I survived my first 100 degree week and again it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We are getting excited to meet our little guy. We aren't really prepared at all but we will get there. My daughter felt the baby kick for the first time this week and I think it freaked her out. She quickly pulled her hand away and looked at me like what the heck. I started laughing. I was just glad that I finally got her to sit still long enough to actually feel her brother move. Had my blood sugar test today, boy do I hate drinking that horrible stuff. I really wonder what is in it. Hopefully all comes back good and I don't have to do the 3 hour test.

Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Thank you for responding to my question...I am taking her to the doctor next week, and I am going to ask about reflux...That was my first thought but because she hardly spits up, I figured that was not it. But now I will ask...thank you so much!

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Oh and I forgot to mention my lil one refuses to sleep on his back.. The dr says some babies with reflux won't sleep on their back because its painful so my lil one is a belly sleeper. I know they recommend back sleeping but he would just end up screaming and it also scared me because when he did spit up he would choke ...

Hi mickyg0606. My daughter was diagnosed with aced reflux when she was a month old. Her reflux number was past 20 something when the normal was I believe around 8-10. (if i remember correctly) She was on reglan at the time and i ended up BF her until she was 8 months old. Good luck!

Hi! My little one has reflux and was put on prevacid... That didn't work at all he wouldn't even digest it right. He ended up spitting up purple hours later...I took him to the ER because of the purple thinking it might be blood it wasn't it was just the pill. The dr there said that zantac works better on babies his age (he'll be 3 months next week). I have to give him 1 ml twice a day because he's 12 lbs.. It doesn't stop the spitting up completely but it curbs it alot. He's also a much happier baby and there is alot less screaming. He was just like your lil one and would be up every hr ... Now he sleeps from 8pm until 4 sometimes 5:30am nurses then goes back to sleep until 7:30-8 am...The change isn't immediate it takes about a week for the medicine to start helping... Hope this helps your lil one...

Thanks your awesome!

That does sound like her symptoms. She doesn't hate eating everytime though. Does it have to be every time she eats? It's at least twice a day. What do you do for reflux?

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

thank u for ur response. there was a streak or two but not too much considering i am even an er nurse and compare it to the drama i see on a regular basis. I am not a L&D nurse so this is all very nerve racking to say the least. I have been contracting most of the day but don't seem to think its on a regular basis. Who knows...she may wait for induction on Wed or she may not .... either way I will have her by this time next week. Good luck with ur own. keep me up dated if u like. Thanks again!
