Adriennesmomma - Friday, 23 May I'm sorry to hear about the results of your test. I'll keep you and yours in my prayers.
riknlee - Friday, 23 May I know what you are going through. the CVS is not pleasant is it? I hope your results come back with no abnormalities, until then you just have to play the waiting game. Good luck - I am hoping for the best for you
sparklyval - Thursday, 22 May Hi! Just read your post. It is such a shame that you are having to go through all of this with your first baby. The procedure at the hospital sounded quite traumatic. I really hope that everything works out well for you and your baby. It must be a very worrying time for you. All the best with the test results. I will keep you in my thoughts.
loqmum - Thursday, 22 May Hang in there and gook luck to you and all the very best!
springtime - Thursday, 22 May I wish you much luck. Remember that the first test has so many false positives. I will think and pray for you and yours.
JennyBen - Tuesday, 20 May Good Luck to you - I hope everything goes well. This is my 3rd, but quite the surprise. I have two older children and never expected to be in this position again!
niseybear - Monday, 19 May I was 38 when I had my first and saw no specialist. My OB was awesome and didn't do all the old lady crap about being pregnant. I didn't do any testing and hubby and I have the healthiest and best 5 month old son. I told her I'd like to have another by 41 and she nodded her head and said to me, "Just call when you get that positive!"
Don't let these doctors scare you because you're 36. You're FAR from old having a child. Someone right here on this site was 52 having a child! Can you believe that.....52??!! Best of luck to you and be blessed!
newbiemomtobe - Monday, 19 May I was super nauseous, have you talked to your Doc? I was given Diclectin? and it really helped within 2 days. I took it until week 10/11 then I was a lot better - I get the odd feeling but not like that. I had tried everything good luck
happy3 - Sunday, 18 May Was'nt it awesome to have the ultrasound? congratulations! I know what you mean about the morning sickness, and p.m. sickness, etc. but better times are hopefully ahead, 2nd trimester should feel better(so they say)I feel better with some food in my belly and sipping cold water. Good luck!hope u feel better misslynnz!
jobean38 - Sunday, 18 May I just saw your post in the advanced age... they are sending you to a specialist? That's just silly! I guess all docs are different.. but come on! I could see if you were 45 but 36 - where I live that's the average new mom age LOL! Try to not let the doc suck you into a bunch of testing. SO many women get false positives on triple serum tests etc... Your doc is either young and silly or ancient LOL! Mine told me that this whole 35 year old thing is a bunch of crap and that the statistics are skewed simply because the average new mom is still in her 20s ok enough of my rant! 10 weeks! yay good for you, i hope your pg goes well!
JennyBen - Sunday, 18 May Hi MissLynz - I'm new to the site, but also 36 and pregnant! This is my 3rd child - and quite a surprise. I haven't been sent to a specialist yet, but I've only had one prenatal visit so far. Is this your first pregnancy?
littledebbie99 - Sunday, 18 May Thanks for the message on water...so many ladies have helped me out! God Bless you ALL! =) I have found that ginger ale and lemonade help me out...ohh I love ice chips too!

mama40 - Saturday, 17 May Hi, congratulation on your pregnancy. I'm 40 (will be 41 in July) and on my 34 week. The doctor send me to perinatologists (actually, only after i asked him if CVS testing is available for me). Perinatlogist wil collect your geentic history (as far as it is possible) and discuss with you the testing options. Don't be to alarmed though. According to their calculations, I in my age, had 1:100 chanse of DS and 2:100 for other genetci defects. I did CVS and everything is fine. I also feel that my pregnancy is easier than it was when I was 25. So do not be scared by numbers. There is plenty of women after 35 having perfect babies.
MLE - Friday, 16 May Congrats on your pregnancy! My first day in week Thirteen starts tomorrow. My morning sickness is still really bad.
But I think you will be FINE for your cruise. If I was on vacation this week instead of at work at a stressful ad agency, I would feel so much better.
MelisaK - Friday, 16 May I am 36, I was 35 when I concieved and my dr. did not send me to any specialist. My pregnancy has gone well, I am at week 29. I am sure your dr. is just being on the safe side. I know what you mean though...they sound like we are soooo old! I told my husband that if they mentioned my advanced maternal age one more time I was going to clock them!!! LOL!
I have to say that at nine weeks I was feeling awful too, now I'm thirteen I feel good most of the time, I have a lot more energy and no more nausea. I think a cruise might be just what you need! Good luck!

happy3 - Wednesday, 14 May Hi there, fellow nine weeker, how are you feeling? just wanted to wish you a healthy and great pregnancy! good luck to you and your little one!
MicheleF - Tuesday, 6 May Thanks for the info! I'll try the Ivory. I hope my face does not look this way for the next seven months. Right now it's just getting worse :( Plus I'm super moody so when I look in the mirror it is pretty depressing. Thanks again for your help!
stefaniescreams - Tuesday, 6 May i bought something similar to the bellaband (but cheaper) and i guess it kind of works... but your THIGHS and legs and butt get fat when your preggo as well... so if you can pull your pants up past all that then ya, it works. lolz... good luck tho hun!
meadow - Sunday, 4 May I am still in week 6, but the smell thing started for me in week 5. I hate everything I used to love! I made my husband take all of the plug in air fresheners we have through out the house to the basement.
