After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. katechris - Saturday, 1 November I feel like someone has drained me of my vitality most days.As much as I love my baby I am getting ready for her to move out . Yes this has beenmy hardest pregnancy with me feeling more moody and tired and sore than my previous ones. I have finished work now so finally I get to just sit back and honour my bodies pace , not the pace of having to commute and work and live to a timing arrangement of a work day. Now i can listen to my clock.I am scheduled for my c -section on the 27 th of this mth. Take care of yourself and your bundle of joy.
katechris - Saturday, 1 November You shouldn't be made to feel that way at all. I am 38 and I am about to have a beautiful baby girl that has given my partner one of his life dreams. It would take a narrow minded person to make such a bland judgement upon someone. anyways take care just wanted to let you know that I understand how that made you feel.
SunnyMom - Friday, 31 October Hi Misty, Thanks for sharing about your mom....It's amazing just how many people go on bedrest during their pregnancies...more common than I thought. I was on full bedrest for 5 days but now I'm allowed to walk and doc said I can even do some shoots (I'm a photog) So far I have spent most of the time working on Photoshop on my computer processing photos but this weekend I'll try to shoot a little and see how it goes. I will however not spend more than 3 hours a day on my feet and will spend the rest of the weekend on my bed resting. It's very hard to not earn money right now when we need it. Husband is working two jobs. I monitor contractions by counting them....their frequency and duration. There is a wonderful free Internet tool that I am using: http://www.contractionmaster.com/ check it out...really great...although you'll probably only need it later :-) I'll only need meds again if they reach the level they were at when I went to hospital. THe pain was enough to keep me awake an entire night...lying on icepacks all night. If I sleep then I know that nothing severe is happening. Believe me, a radical contraction WILL wake you up :-) I just thought it was my fibroids acting up because they are painful too, so I didn't realise the first time that it was contractions. I hope I am not put on full bedrest again...it really sucks....but of course I'll do whatever I need to.
SunnyMom - Thursday, 30 October Great to hear from you..and nice to know there's someone who can really relate to what a miracle it is to be this far. They never saw the twin on the first sono and at that time they saw the one embryo with no heartbeat and it didn't look good. I started miscarrying at home, bleeding, and cramping, and have had enough of them that I decided to let it go on naturally. The doc assumed that it was the embryo they had seen...I held onto the hope that it was a twin that hadn't been seen in the sono. After three days of bleeding I had a second sono and they saw the second embryo shedding away and the other one looked better. It took weeks of mc and bleeding to finish up and that was SO sad for me. But thank heavens our other one hung in there.
I am not having BH...they are real and painful contractions...spent 12 hrs in hospital last week having them measured and monitored. I was on meds for 3 days that brought them under control but now I have to be VERY careful and monitor constantly. (Tough when there are SO many aches and pains...but I try not to be paranoid) My team of docs are excellent....they think it is the fibroids, I have 4 sizable ones and they have caused pain throughout my pregnancy.
Ya know.....I think parents will always feel a void between themselves and their teens no matter what age we are :-) Being That you and I both work with teens is very helpful...we're less likely (hopefully) to take things personally and realise how much angst they have :-) (and we can just dye our hair if we start to look like grandma, ha,ha!) I don't think that I am thinking that far ahead though....right now just trying to make it safely to 24 weeks and then hopefully further....one step at a time...can't even think about a nursery or buying anything yet. (the fun stuff) But yes, amazing what modern medicne can do. That there is a chance to save them as early as 24 weeks is amazing.
I probably won't bother to make a decicion about natural or C sect...will take it as it comes....baby might make the decision for me :-) i don't have a strong feeling either way right now but know that C sect babies can have fluid in their lungs that is expelled during their travels down the birth canal. Have yet to satrt reading more about BIRTH and all that comes with it :-) The many joys...ha,ha! Is pregnancy harder than you thought it would be?
