The film mentioned a bunch of drugs that are given, the one that sticks out in my mind is pitocin . Its a drug that brings on your contractions in order to speed up the birthing process. In many cases the pitocin can cause fetal stress from the contractions being so strong and the the your body not ready to start delivering which in many cases a you will be rushed in for a c-section.
Like I had said earlier...I always said I wanted a natural child birth ie; thinking that it only meant I would not get any drugs for pain...I was unaware of the many drugs out there that can be used unnessarliy during labor (the only necessite being the doctor/hospitals schedule)
The video is very informative, I highly recommend it to those who have or have not had children!
