tana - Saturday, 20 September I read your post on teething, my son is also teething and he is 3 months old. All of my children had teeth by 4months old. ttyl
mandarae - Friday, 19 September Thanks! I have a lot to learn about breastfeeding... will be nice to have an "experienced" person to talk with!
The girls are due 11/10 - however, since there are two, my Doc said they are considered full term at 37 weeks. I believe I will be scheduling the c-section soon, and it will be mid October they come! Hopefully 35-36 weeks (before my Doc leaves for a convention!) Of course, that is all subject to me not going into labor before then. I am currently off work trying to keep em in there! (this house business is not much fun either! I keep staring at the same walls all day... very much looking forward to the end!)
roseplus1 - Friday, 19 September I had to order the bottle and it has not come yet. I was thinking about trying the first year brand I saw someone with it this week. If the Adiri does not work I will try the first year. I tell you children are way to expensive :)
I am sorry that you have to send the baby to daycare, it sucks. But there really isn't anything like the anticipation all day of seeing her at the end of the day. I love the picture of her. She is so cute.
mandarae - Friday, 19 September Thank you! We are very excited about their arrival! I really do appreciate your input regarding the pump. I had been checking the medela pumps and they are pretty spendy. If I were planning on returning to work after the girls get here, I might go for that, but since I am going to take up my new career as full time mommy, I am opting for something alittle more affordable. I have been checking your recommendation out online and have been reading great reviews! I really do appreciate the help! Your baby doll is gorgeous by the way!!! If its ok, I might need to come to you for advice in the future? Hope you have a super day!!
littlecavalier - Thursday, 18 September Thank you so much for your response about slings! Madeline is adorable! I keep researching different types of carriers/slings etc and it seems like the more I search the more confused I get :-). I guess it's a trial and error kind of thing.
nezbit - Monday, 15 September Go to photobucket and create an account. Upload pictures. Once uploaded, click on the picture that will be in your album and then to the right hand side or sometimes bottom of the pic you will see a box with HTML. Copy the HTML that says for websites and blogs(something like that). Then you paste the code in the comment box. There are a few codes but you have to copy the right one. One is for e mails and the other I am not sure what it's for, but you need the HTML for web pages.
lucysmum - Monday, 15 September Go to Photobucket!
roseplus1 - Monday, 15 September Thanks for the information on the bottles. Good luck tomorrow. I would tell you it will be ok, but I would be lying. Just remember it is harder on us than it is on them. At least that is what they tell me. Today is my first day of not calling to check on her. I am sitting her watching the clock waiting for 3. At least it gives you something to look forward to.
roseplus1 - Monday, 15 September Most of the reviews said it leaked, I just wanted to see how bad the leak was. If it is not that bad then I am going to order it. My girl hates the bottle and when she is in daycare she sometimes refuses to eat. Hopefully this will help.
The heart murmur had me scared out of my mind when they first told us in the hospital. They ran all of her test the week we were there. I had to hound them for answers. It appears that heart murmurs are so common that we mothers should know not to worry and the doctors will tell us if something is wrong. I swear they did not give me teh full results of her ecocardiogram until a few hours before discharge. I am so glad everything worked out for you.
roseplus1 - Sunday, 14 September I was reading your comments and have to second 1st pregnancy's response. My baby has a heart murmur and the doctor said not to worry about it, it will most likely correct itself. So have faith and feel better.
kristin:armywife07 - Monday, 18 August my little girl has a heart murmur. she saw a pediatric cardilogist at 4 months and they did an echocardiogram, or whatever its called. she is now 10 1/2 months old and her follow up appointment will be in september, so i shall see then. it doesn't hurt her, or cause her any problems, and it SHOULD correct itself. until you follow up on it later on in your baby's first year, i would just not think about it :-)
1st-pregnancy - Sunday, 17 August Hi...I think I wrote a blog on my son's 2 month experience with a heart murmur...my son did the cardiology visit...and everything...I was told that...babies still develop outside the womb...and not to worry...most babies have murmur..which goes away in time.
luvbeingamom - Sunday, 17 August No problem, good luck to you and your little girl! I know it is scary but this is a very controlable issue!
MonikaOH - Wednesday, 30 July I had to feed very often for first 6 weeks. Now he is 12 weeks and eats every 3 hours. Sometimes it takes a little to your body to adjust to baby needs. Watch weight gain, if baby is gaining weight well you have enough milk (I got scale from Amazon for $70 but you can just weigh yourself with baby every 4 days to gen an idea).
MonikaOH - Monday, 21 July I didn't last too long with on demand deal. When he was 5 days, I started on every 2 hours schedule and offered paci if he screamed. Now he is over 14 lbs (at 10 weeks) so he is huge :-) good luck.
erica93 - Sunday, 20 July Isabella did that and continues to cluster feed at almost 8 wks. I found that pumping in the morning and giving her that milk at her fussy times works and lets my breasts fill up a little more and also get some rest! That way she gets satisfied before bed. Works for us!
cinnammonngirl - Friday, 11 July Thank you for your response. :o) I had almost no swelling at all during the pregnancy, so that's why now I'm like, what is this?? I agree with you about the water...I used to drink a ton of it, but I got out of the habit in the last two weeks. I probably need it now more than ever! :o)
ginnyusa - Tuesday, 8 July The rash looks like hyves. They start of as itchy spots then turn into hyves. It is absolutely horrible! I started developing PUPP 6 weeks after delivery, it is very rare but it does happen. Starts at you belly then spreads to your arms and legs. Wish you all the best and hope you will find something that helps you
jodys - Sunday, 6 July I just saw your post asking about gdiapers. I have been using them since my son was born and loved them. However, he is 6 mo old now and they are leaking quite a bit. I think the inserts aren't absorbant enough for him anymore. Still really liked them though.
blessedmom2b - Saturday, 5 July Oh good so you tried the California baby stuff? I didn't know anyone that had. That is good to know and now I can consider it:) a calm baby is worth its weight in gold i hear
military~mommy - Wednesday, 25 June I have the Lansinoh double electric, and I like it, but if you do have the extra money I would recomend getting a medela. I didn't think the noise would bother me, but when my baby is sleeping I don't want to disturb her, a medela is quieter and has alot more accesory options. With the Lansinoh you cannot get different size breast shields, so if you have smaller or larger breasts it can be a pain. I do like it tho, but I wish I had spent the extra $75 for the Medela...
blessedmom2b - Tuesday, 24 June I'm now wondering if the bath and body works stuff is just natural and not necessarily USDA organic. I guess I could do a search online to see!
CCQ - Friday, 20 June Thank you, I knew it wasn't painless but I wasn't quite sure . . .
blessedmom2b - Wednesday, 18 June Thanks for your suggestions on organic products for baby care. I also found Method in BRU - the ingredients look to be natural. I might try that initially, but I will def check out the ones you mentioned. Someone else told me that they sell organic baby care products for babies at Bath and Body Works. I haven't checked it out yet though. Just fyi!:)
Hvnlygoddess - Wednesday, 18 June Lol...my husband thought I was nuts to even try it, but we (baby & I) managed to get him warmed up to the idea. And yes being tuned in with baby, wearing baby & basically making baby an extension of yourself (which is the nuts part with 4 other kids) was always a challenge at the beginning, and hopefully more success this time around, although it may not happen & thats cool too Whatever you decide to do will be the best thing for you & baby & daddy, parenting in itself is the most challenging thing anybody could possibly go through & yet here we are. Good luck with everything Mountainmama, god bless & all the best x
