sammii - Sunday, 3 Feb hiya, just wanted to say i have had a birth of both types. my 1st was a long and drawn out medicated birth 39 hrs 27 mins to be exact and that was just the 'established labour'. i had an epi with her and it was horrid tbh, everything slowed down, i was tired and couldnt feel to push so ended up haveing to have an episiotomy and forceps delivery, with terrible stitches after which tooks weeks to recover from. also, i feel i was very 'out of control' very scared and cant remember too much about it. i vowed next time would be different and my gosh it was. i stayed home til i physically couldnt cope anymore, went to the hospital, 67 unmedicated minutes later i had my beautiful alert and very hungry son in my arms, and 12 hours later we were home. so for me this time is no contest.... natural all the way. hope that helps a little bit with your dilemma x
I had a natural birth, for a few reasons. My mom did it 3 times and my sister did it 4 so I didn't want to be a wimp and not do it. Plus I am scared to death of having a huge ass needle stuck in my spine. Also epidurals slow down the birthing process and I want it to go as fast as possible.
I am preg with my second boy and I am going to do it natural again.
My first labor was only like 6 hours, which is really really fast for a first birth.
I think epidural's are for chickens, before they had epidural's women were forced to have children natural so its not like it cant be done.
I also heard that sometimes when you have them you dont remember a lot of the birth, and I wanted to remember everything. And I do.
good luck with your decision. hope this helps.
soon-to-be-first-time-mommy - Friday, 1 Feb I KNOW! And today I feel ALL of 29 weeks. I'm soooo uncomfy today. I think she is laying weird. This is just going by too fast!!! When is it going to 'crawl' by like they said?????
HeavenLeigh - Friday, 1 Feb yea the thing is the baby was pretty much facing the camera, its just that their machine quality sucks. Im so mad at myself for paying for it, but i thought there would be better pics on the cd and dvd. I called back pissed off demanding a refund and they offered to try again, i told them if the pics arent perfect this time then i want my money back so i will just see how that goes!
deniseinoakland - Thursday, 31 Jan i did the 3d ultrasound recently as well. neat isn't it :)
startingoverat37 - Thursday, 31 Jan You are welcome that I made the remarks I did. I can not believe people will torture a child just because society says its okay. We don't do this to our daughters and believe me they have proven time and time again that women are dirty..or should I say can carry more bacterias if we don't keep clean. Thus the tuna statement comes urgh! Yuck! Anyhoo...thanks and hope your booboo is doing great!
jen115 - Thursday, 31 Jan he's so cute! my 3d ultra sound is feb 16th...I'm so excited! your baby's name is so cute! it's kinda funny...the father of my little girl has the same middle and last name...lol...my daugheter is going to be sophia kay lopez...lol...

TiffaniDarnise - Monday, 24 Dec thanks for the message and compliment. that was a real sweet message. i will pray also. i just dont want to go through that again. that wasnt cool at all. the only new thing about this pregnancy is that they put a cerclage in me. which is a stitch to hold my cervix close so i wont miscarry. i just hope this works for me!
reneelane - Monday, 24 Dec that goes for me too! I rememeber with my first son being very petite with super huge boobs because I breastfed until he was 8 months old. It took a while for my ta tas to go back to normal.

reneelane - Friday, 21 Dec Thanks! Well I had him a week and some change early. My due date was 12/12/07 but I started doing a ton of walking and I dilated. Then my doc did a membrane sweep for me and 36 hours he came!
soon-to-be-first-time-mommy - Monday, 17 Dec Our bellies are getting pretty noticeable huh?? I hate that people are judging you when you go in for an interview, I mean I can understand their concern considering you'll have to take leave in April, but that doesnt mean you won't be a great asset to their business!! Let me know how that goes...loves the pics btw!
