I am not with my child's father.. so I am a single mommy. My son is my first child and I've never felt so happy in my life. Mommy's big boy July 2009

11-8-07 at 1:29pmKayson Michael Was BornWeighing 6lb 5oz and 18 inches longI went to the doctors on Tuesday November 6th, 2007 and I had high blood pressure they told me to come back the next day, I started having contractions that night went to the hospital and they said I'm only 1cm dilated and my blood pressure was down so they sent me home. November 7th, 2007 I went to my regular appointment and my blood pressure was high and wouldn't come down so they made me go to Labor and Delivery to be monitored for a couple hours, well the couples hours turned to me staying the night and being put on magnesia to get my blood pressure to lower. November 8th, after several hours of it not going down and finding out I had PIH (Pregnancy induced hypertension) / Preeclampsia (ALSO KNOWN AS TOXEMIA) they decided to go ahead and have the baby. I was in really bad pain for a couple hours because of the magnesia it made me have a REAL bad headache but after they put the pain medicine in my back and it kicked in the headache went away ,,.I laid on the bed and got sick and threw up but after I was done, the doctors got it started and at 1:29 I gave birth by Cesarian section to a VERY Healthy 6lb 5oz handsome baby boy and his name is Kayson Michael. The second he cried I cried with him it was an unexplainable feeling and all the pain was WELL worth it. My blood pressure is still up but we are home now and I am doing well and so is he! I wouldn't change it for the world. A Message To Single MothersAccept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the things you can, and use your wisdom to know the difference. I've been speaking to alot of single mothers and I understand that NO ONE WANTS to be a single mother. I cried plenty of tears, I went through the ups and downs, and in the end I have accepted the inevitable. Inside of you, you hold a precious gift. The gift the no man whether fat or skinny, whether short or tall, whether black or white can hold. You will hold this child inside of your body and your body will nuture it, it will help it grow, and then YOUR BODY will bring it into the world. During this time you have already done what you are telling yourself you can't do, you are being a single mother. There is no greater gift, than the gift of life and you have the power to give that gift. Your child depends on you, the stress you cause yourself could harm your baby and yourself. I know it's hard and I know that sometimes you feel like giving up but in the end it will all be worth the pain, sweat, and tears. You have the strength that God has given you to make it through all of it. Lift your head up high and be proud because I am proud of you. Your strength and courage will to continue is ADMIRABLE, I Thank you for allowing that child The GIFT OF LIFE.[Psalms 139:13-16:] "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

At least he'll be with you every step of the way..that's always comforting.

I think Lily has an ear infection :(. I gotta call the doc. today to get her in to be checked out...not fun at all.

Oh my goodness, Isn't it crazy how quickly they catch on? Sometimes it amazes me :) She has these toys that she knows exactly how they work its funny...
I cannot take my eye off Lily for 2 minutes..Today my husband went in the kitchen for 2 seconds to get her a bottle and when he went back in the living room she had climbed up the stairs and was at the top laughing....Kinda scary to think she could've fallen...Oh boy, fun stuf :) Lol.

He's attached to mommy huh? That's alright though..sometimes It's so cool to have lily be so into me..but then again at bed time that would be a little frustrating..
Hopefully he'll let up for you...so that it isn't as tough getting him to sleep...
Guess what Lily did last night. Crawled from bottom to the top of our stairs! I couldn't believe it. We were right there with her but she crawled up like she was a pro, lol :)
It was cute...That baby gate has got to stay up at all times now, haha.
Well anyway hope you're having a good day, tmw is Friday thank goodness. This weekend is house fixing wkdn, fun stuff :)

Is he over that stage of having to be held to sleep? Lily is now putting herself to sleep..last night she was running around wild and full of energy until 9:30 and just hilarious..but then I put her in her crib with a bottle of juice and she snuggl'd up with a blankey and was out..thank goodness..She'd gone long enough, lol. :)

'That sounds IDENTICAL as to what Lily was doing..I bet it'll pass in a week or two, believe me..When she was going through it I thought to myself " I hope this doesn't last long" It was tough because I waited until she was in bed until I took my shower etc...and some nights were not fun. Just hang in there :)

Right at 12 months lily went through this 2 week phase thing where I'd put her to sleep in my arms and then when I put her in her crib she would stand up and scream..wanting me....That was horrible..so I'd have to make sure she was in a deep sleep before I could gently put her down in her crib...But after about 2 weeks of that she's now started to go back to sleep in her crib. I let her snuggle with a couple bears so she's comforted...:)
Hopefully that stage will pass...It did w/ Lily so hang in there...
I Hope that you have a good Thanksgiving girl, enjoy it with the lil one :)

When we took Lily to ChuckECheese she was so tired by the end of the night but she wouldn't dare to go to bed because there was too much going on :)
One more day at work this week and it's a 4 day wknd!! Thank goodness!!! I'm rdy for a little bit off from this job...it's been slow this week!
