MaxwellsMommy - Friday, 24 October He's beautiful :)
MaxwellsMommy - Friday, 24 October Hey Sharra!! How are things going? I saw your message to everyone cause well, I guess you and I are friends with all the same people haha :) Umm when my little one falls asleep while eating I either stroke the back of the head, or the back, or just touch a little on the bottom of the chin. One of those 3 things always works. Sounds like you've got a sleepy little munchkin! I can't wait for you to put up more pictures! Hope you're all doing well xoxo
My MIL is a midwife and she said tickle their feet or brush a cool damp face cloth over their face when they are feeding to try and keep them awake. I'm very happy that you are doing well and r happy.
Im doing great, Mitchell is bottle feeding as I wasnt producing enough milk, but I tried for 2 weeks and it wasnt working, Im happy that he is getting enough food now. He is just such a good baby, hardly every cries, he does have his days and nights mixed up but he is getting better, he actually slept 4 hrs straight last night which was great. We are going on our first shopping trip together today so im getting excited.
Keep in touch xxx
crystalmooon - Friday, 24 October is that a little baby pirate outfit behind you?? too cute - you look radiant!! xo
crystalmooon - Friday, 24 October I've got a year mat leave - oh the joys of being canadian! Shawn has a really good paying job, but the down side is that he works out of town most of the time, and sometimes for up to a month away. So you're having troubles keeping lil Shawn awake at the boobie? Try undressing him and tickling his toes - The nurses told me to try that with Trent, to keep him a little bit uncomfortable (ie, not warm and cozy)so he'll stay awake long enough to eat. Another trick I've learned is that if he falls asleep on the boob to take him off and change his diaper - that usually wakes Trent up enough for him to eat a bit more. As for me and postpardum - I've got the health nurse and my doctor on watch... I've been feeling down and crying a lot and it's too far past to be the 'baby blues'. Anyways - I've written you a short novel here. I've got to go start dinner and try to put some laundry away before Trent wakes up. Take care and talk to you soon! xo
jaydasmama - Thursday, 23 October awwww look at that :) congratulations. Glad to see hes doing well.
Jayda only takes the breast when shes in the mood... other than that I have to feed her expressed milk.
hotpotaaaaato - Thursday, 23 October for the breastfeeding... do you try scratching the back of his head when he falls asleep? I find that helps. Also, you could start feeding, and once he falls asleep on the boob take him off, change his diaper to wake him up and start again. ummmm, I don't know what else. I too have been going through PP "baby blues" I had it awful with my first and it came on strong again so I was taking anti-depressants for a week and just yesterday started going to a postpartum therapist to help instead of pills, cause I hate taking pills. Everything will turn around. Keep your head up! Good luck, have a wonderful day
SWAN - Thursday, 23 October THATS OK...SWEETIE I AM HAPPY THAT ALL IS WELL WITH YOU AND YOUR BABY!!! I UNDERSTAND COMPLETELY ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH TIME TO DO ANYTHING...THE TWINS ARE DOING GREAT...THEY WILL BE 9WKS ON SUNDAY...THEY ARE GROWING SOOO MUCH EVERY DAY...THEY STILL HAVE THEIR DAYS AND NIGHTS MIXED UP...THEY ARE UP LOOKING AROUND ALL NIGHT LONG AND WANT TO SLEEP DURING THE DAY...BUT TAKE CARE AND KEEP IT TOUCH...ONE LOVE!!

We had a few unsettled days/nights..aahh the sleep dep...my little girl is windy and I have been trying to give her too much boob (like my boys!!)..she is more delicate and quite different...she takes from one side and comes off generally when finished..I burp her and was giving her other side which made her more squirmy and crying..today I got it!! and feed her only what she wants..much more settled...sleeps anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours...average is around two.....glad she has settled and I am making the adjustment..its been a few years!!! hope all is good with you.....
I also rest as much as possible and have only been out of house once..happy to stay home fopr first 4-6 weeks.... xx
