Mims - Tuesday, 16 September So you see my predicament. What is the point of this baby shower when none of the attending guest are my friends, I am sure none of them give a $&*^ about me and are only there to party and out of some sort of "obligation" to my MIL. BUt anyways, it is too early in the game to start worrying about it. I already gave DH several clear and direct orders, I DO NOT WANT a BABYSHOWER, iF your mom brings it up, tell her no, but he is the baby and I don't know if he'll hve the "guts" to tell her. IT is just recent since I've been tell DH that I didn't want one since I found out i was preggers and she was talking about shower cakes yesterday. I was like, hummmmm.... Maybe I am to emotional cuz its my first, who knows. I have been stressing another thing, I don't want to see them at the hospital after i give birth. They oculd come the following day but not the day of. Do you think that is unreasonable?
lisa187 - Tuesday, 16 September Hey I just read your post and wanted to let you know I feel so much better at 12 weeks! I actually started feeling better around week 8 so maybe that will be your lucky week too. I still felt a little nauseous in the mornings until I ate something, but it was nothing like the all day sickness I felt from week 5-8. What I found really helped me was getting out of the house and going for a walk. When I stayed at home I felt so much worse. So even though it was hard to get out of bed and ready for the day a nice walk in the fresh air made a HUGE difference for me. I hope this helps you! You won't be sick forever.
jayrodmarie22 - Monday, 15 September lol okay np i added you ...Jus wanted to say congrats and I hope ur feeling good..i know how hard those first few weeks r ...ttys jay
MIms - Monday, 15 September My family can't come to the shower nor could they plan one for me They live 2000 miles away and the only person I have here with me is DH and the in laws. I moved here and all my friends and family are in Chicago. That is one of the reasons i don't want a baby shower. I would like to share it with my friends and family not just be an accessory for my MIL's intended shower. How fun, sitting in a party with the plus 50 crowd. I don't know if I could still use the "i am not feeling well" excuse for a party that is supposedly meant to be for me and the babe.

infamousiggy - Sunday, 14 September I'm glad your appointment went ok!! Your ultrasound on the 24th should be really cool...as you'll be a little further along at that point! Yeah, it seems like all doctors have different policies with stuff. Like so many woman on here are getting more detailed stuff (beats per minute...audio of the heartbeat, etc). My first appointment was strictly a confirmation through ultrasound...and that was it. I have to go back in the beginning of October for a nurses appointment to go over the health histories and all of that. THEN i have to go back AGAIN the following week for an appointment with a doctor to get a full physical, bloodwork, and all of that. The processes seem to be different everywhere!
infamousiggy - Friday, 12 September Oh I almost forgot! Good luck at your appointment! Let me know how you make out!!
infamousiggy - Friday, 12 September I completely understand. I'm falling behind on my housework REALLY bad. My floors need to be washed so badly, but I can't seem to work up enough energy to do them. My husband has been really good about helping out with stuff around the house while I'm feeling so lazy and tired...but he's been out of town for work the past couple days, and I feel like the house is just falling apart. I forced myself to pick up a little bit last night...but its not even close to what I'm used to doing. You're right...2nd trimester can't get here soon enough!!!
gamama31791 - Friday, 12 September girl until i had the u/s i kept telling myself that i was having a tubular pregnancy due to all the cramps and stomach pains. its easier said then done to have ppl tell you to just think positive and there isnt anything wrong. your gonna to think the worst, its in our hormones to think the worst. then when you read the horror stories (like we all do) you cant help but think everything is wrong. but i am so glad that your feeling much better, and let me know how it goes at the doctors. hope you get lots of pics
gamama31791 - Friday, 12 September hey read your comment in week 7- there are many reasons for cramps. honey im proof that sometimes its not as serious as you think. i've been having severe stomach cramps, burning & hurting, almost like a bleeding ulcer. Its now been like this for almost 3 weeks. come to find out its a UTI. which i didnt know you can get such severe cramps. i mean it doesnt hurt or burn when i pee (which was i thought was supp to happen) so see it can be something as simple as some kind of bladder infection. Im on my 4th set of antibiotics and its not wanting to go away. but we had a u/s tues and we saw the baby & heard the heartbeat of 133 bpm. so girl keep your head up b/c i know that baby is doing just wonderful. keep me posted..
infamousiggy - Friday, 12 September LOL!! Cave women didn't need naps....LOL!!! Well, we've evolved to NEEDING naps!! haha Every lunch hour I come home from work, and have been plopping on the couch trying to take a nap. I've never felt lazier or more tired in my life.
Lillymae1227 - Friday, 12 September good luck at your appointment! it was amazing for me, i never heard such a sweet and perfect heartbeat in my life. I'll post pictures from my ultrasound soon! i cant wait to hear how your appt goes!!
Yazzyz Mommy - Thursday, 11 September Good for you, know just keep thinking that for the next 7 months!
infamousiggy - Thursday, 11 September Everyone keeps telling me that the energy level comes back in the 2nd trimester...I hope to god thats true!! I'm just so sick of feeling miserable...I'm sure you understand. Yeah, I've been noticing that my taste buds aren't right either. Last night, I REALLY REALLY wanted buffalo chicken strips. I took one bite of them, and couldn't stand the taste...to me they tasted like they were coated in rancid butter with some other weird flavor. I didn't feel like cooking anything else after that...so i just had a bowl of cereal. haha Thankfully milk doesn't taste like chemicals and cow poo to me yet.
infamousiggy - Thursday, 11 September OK, I think it worked now. haha How are you feeling today? I'm SO tired already, and its only 11:50am...trying to work is SO hard when I feel so drained.
StaceyL - Thursday, 11 September P.S. I'm in Oregon too
StaceyL - Thursday, 11 September Thanks for the popsicle advice! I'm at work so I managed so scavange some Saltines. I also saw your comment about food tasting different. Yes, I definitely notice a difference with carbs and sweets. I can't quite describe it but it leaves the worst after-taste. Brushing my teeth or gum afterwards always helps.

sommerrae27 - Thursday, 11 September Just read your comment on the forum.I too have the same problem I mean Identical.I have been with my fiance almost 11 years and the same thing he has a sister that is a problem and then the MIL of course the father rides the fence too .We went nearly a year without talking to them because of th nasty things they have said in the past few years ,We have really came a long way and they are jealous of our lives .We bought our brand new home and got nothing but nasty comments about it bnbton a I am proud of you but just rude remarks. I really wish we would never have to speak with them again. I am having my c-section tomorrow and I know they arte going to try to come in to the room and see the baby. I dont want them anywhere near me..But what do you do...I dont know it is agrrovating and it makes me mad.. I know what you are feeling and I am sorry you too have a rotten in law to deal with..it seems like the female sare the worse!! Take care!!!
Yazzyz Mommy - Thursday, 11 September Hell no she doesn't deserve a damn thing in my book! ( sorry I'm on a rant with my own mil) Who knows how she'll treat the baby if she has problems with you being mixed.
