Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Thanks! It happened so soon for us the first time, that I don't want to get my hopes up that it will happen that way again, especially since I know it takes longer with BF'ing. Keep me updated on whether or not you and your hubby are going to try again
soon.

THANKS!! My mother thinks that it is heat rash too! We always have her swaddled!

Lately my son is constantly fussing too. He didn't sleep at all last night & I just feel like a zombie today. I was thinking he might have gas but I seriously think he just wants to be picked up 24/7. I love holding him, but at 3am I could use some sleep. I have found gripe water to help though...settles their stomach if that is why they are fussing.

thank you so much for your advise. My milk is super powerful and I feel that is the problem. Did you feel that stopping dairy helped your milk slow down or helped her from choking? thank you for your input!

Hi,just read your commenton sleeping arrangements and I can say that i have very positive experience with co sleeping. My little guy was exhausting me as he wouldnt settle in his cot which was by our bed but falls asleep easily in bed with us.My main feart was smothering him or him gettin overheated though. We have bought a mini bed that you can lay in your bed so he still feels comforted but is safe from getting squished and we just put a sheet over him,no doona. It allows my husband and I to feel safe and cuddle without a baby in the way and the baby is very happy to,we all get sleep.apparantly they grow out of this stage and you can slowly wean them out of the habit.

With my first I supplimented from day one because I had to for jaundice reasons. I personally feel a bottle should be introduced from day one ~ it avoids nipple confusion in my opinion, if they know that both provide feedings then it is not confusing to them and no big deal, my son took to both wihtout any concerns. My second was BF for a week but I had to stop because of a concern. Pror to that I gave him a bottle to be fed by my mom, she was dying and I wanted her to feed her grandson ~ he took it without any concerns and when I did have to stop it wasnt a problem one bit. I know two mom personally that waited til months later and the baby was very upset because it was not a norm for them and that was confusing. Others may not agree but I feel that bottle is important to be introduced so dad can also be a part of the feeding bonding experience.

My baby was vomiting too. It was a large amount and it was usually a little curtled, not thin and runny like spit up. Was also projectile. Anywho, when feeding I let her eat for about a min then burp. she usually lets out a big belch then she eats for a while. Anytime she pulls away I burp her again. Long story but since the constant burping she hasn't had any big vomits. Hope this little tid bit of info helps you. Might be wise to talk to your doc about it right away but give the burping a shot in the mean time:) Hope you and your adorable little girl are doing great, Take care!

mariap - Wednesday, 9 Jan
Hi there, sorry it's taken me so long to respond to you. To be honest, when I posted about waking her every two to three hours, I was doing it at night too. It was my mistake though. My dr. clarified that I am not supposed to wake her for feedings at night... Oops! But during the day it is very effective at keeping her happy...

Really good Tired but happy getting used to the 4 hour segments of sleep. Hard to believ she is 3 weeks now. She has a bot of Colic which is hard but she os good otherwise. Tiredness gets easier but I know what you mean after going through labour and stitches you really need to rest but cant. I am all healed now and can sit without wincing!! when i get the time. hope you are ok. Just rest when she does thats the best advice and forget the housework !! xxx

congratulations hun, hope your all doing great, i love her name its beautiful. i read your birth story and i apparantly said funny things when i had pethidine too haha, i think i said i wanted to be transferred to a hospital where they could cut her out of me (i was in a midwife led unit in a hospital but there was no epidural available or anything like that, if anything had gone wrong i would have had to be transferred to the hospital 30-45 miles away, same if i had wanted an epidural) haha and i kept saying i love my daddy haha. well done sweetie. are you enjoying being a mummy? xx

charlottek - Sunday, 6 Jan
Congratulations lovely name and she was on time xxx

lisalulu - Saturday, 5 Jan
Congratualtions on your little girl! Best wishes to you! Your birth story made me laugh when you said your husband had to take the gas away from you-I would be the same way : ) I am glad everything worked out. Hopefully my little one will come out soon!! I am dying to meet him.

sarahD - Sunday, 30 Dec
I hate when people say that too! It does not make a mother feel any better. Heres to us! Hopefully our little ones come out soon.
