I do have my hands full at school, but I've been teaching for ten years now, so I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve. Halloween with them was good.

Yeah, the Medela Pump in Style is great and you're right. We would have burned out the motor in a cheaper pump. When this one goes out, I know I'm definitely getting another one.

There's nothing I can think of that I forgot but like I said, we packed the whole house! ;) Just start by making a list, that's what I would recommend.

I know what you mean by trying to entertain a fussy baby when pumping. No fun!

Kannon was really cranky yesterday too, how funny. I think he is starting to teeth by nothing has popped up yet either.

Anyway, believe it or not, I'm using the Medela Pump In Style 1998! Yep, it's 10 years old. I got it from my sister. She was holding on to it for me and it works great! I actually really grateful that she had it as I didn't think I would end up e-pumping.

I know what you mean by packing the whole house! LOL We went to California a couple months ago and I had whole extra big suit case just for Kannon! We packed his bumbo, sleeping wedge, nursing pillow (this was before I went to e-pumping), toys, bath mat and loads of diaper! It pays to have all that you need though. Good luck with all of that! I hope have a great time!

You're such a sneaky stubborn stinker! I have to pay for the sweater, lady! $50 is probably too little!!!

My class needs a lot of structure. I don't know if I told you, but before I arrived, they received the reputation as the worst behaved class in the school. I'm teaching them how to behave all week. I usually do so many amazing things with my students during Halloween, but I'm keeping it pretty simple this year. I'm having a party with a movie, and then we're going on a parade. Oh, and my kids are putting on a short play for some other classes. In the past, we chased "monsters" who left notes around the school (me), we did an experiment in which the kids touch "eyeballs" (grapes) and "brains" (cantaloupe) and other gross stuff, and we had a big play for the school. I'm disappointed to give up that stuff, but it's more important that I get them in line so we can do cool things all year long. i have to also remember that they don't knwo what they're missing.

My hand are sooo dry too!! LOL I hate that and it drives me crazy! I'm constantly putting lotion or Vaseline on my hands. Wow, a year! You've got dedication. I made my goal for 6 months and now it's almost here :) so I think I'll try for 9 months and we'll see how we're doing at that point. But you're right. It not really that bad. I only get bothered with it when I have something to do or somewhere to be and I can't pump when I need to. Sometimes I'll just take my pump with me and I'll do it in the car. I use a power converter for the plug. I wish I had the money to get one of those pumps that takes batteries. Maybe next time.

I've only tried sweet potatoes and zucchini. He likes the sweet potatoes but not so much the zucchini. I've been making his food at home because it's cheaper. I think I should try the carrots. I'm waiting on giving him fruit too for the same reason. I should probably get some rice cereal too. Nice chatting with you, talk to you later!

Hey there! So how is your LO doing on solids? I start giving Kannon solids about a week ago. He loves it! I was really surprised how ready he was. I was going to wait until 6 months but I thought I'd just try one night. I haven't been giving him solids every night, were taking it really slow. On another note, how long are you planning to pump? I'm getting so tired of it but my guilt keeps me doing it ;) I feeling like, if I can keep making milk for him then I shouldn't keep it from him. I'm just so tired of getting up in the night to pump.

Dont worry about the solids, at this age its all for practice and not nutrition. my babt loves sweet potatoes, carrots, banannas, peaches. hates applesauce and tolerates peas. i stopped carrots b/c it gave him horrid gas. some days he gets solids and some days not. i dont push them just yet. good luck
