My names is Stephanie and I am a 28 year old teacher from Australia. I am currently pregnant for the third time (though this time with twins) and am due in December. I have a beautiful ten year old son, and, last September, I gave birth to my second child, Zander. He was born prematurely and with a very rare kidney condition known as Bilateral Renal Agenesis (absent kidneys). Zander passed away in my arms just a few minutes after he was born. I cannot begin to describe the pain that my partner, son and family have experienced these past six months; I guess there really aren't too many tragedies that come close to losing a child. But, the thing I have learned is that while there are more people than I ever imagined that have experienced similar things - from miscarriages, to stillbirth, to SIDS - all around me, and all across the world, there are beautiful, healthy babies born every day, who go on to live long and happy lives. I know this is possible, and, fingers crossed, my little beans will be two of the many beautiful, healthy babies born this coming December. My goal, therefore, is to be positive, to remember that life is possible, and to try my darndest to enjoy every single precious moment that I have with my little ones...
