Anyone up for a good laugh? Read on...

I conceived my two boys easily at age 27 and 29. Then, we could not have a third. We went to a fertility specialist and after months of injections, surgery, vaginal ultrasounds (anyone who's had one knows how fun THEY are!) we were told that we were infertile. The chances of us conceiving - even with insemination - were bleak, less than 1%. So we just went ahead with life and an empty bedroom for the next few years.

THEN, exactly 100 periods after we started TTC baby #3, I was late for my period. Since I am now 40 years old, I spent 5 days celebrating my early menopause. (Those of you who are over 40 can laugh now and shake your head saying, "you silly, silly woman...") Needless to say, on the sixth day I realized that there may be another reason for my late period and stopped by Walgreens for a test. Well, the plus sign showed up before my stick hit the counter so I grabbed the car keys and drove to my doctor's office for a second test. After producing another plus sign, they congratulated me on being pregnant!!

We have been celebrating this new life ever since!

Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.

Youe belly looks great! It looks as if it's all baby too! Don't worry about other peoples comments, they all have diffent expectations of what a person should look like. With my first I carried much like you. I had a larger than average baby too! :)

OMG! An anti-stress class would be awesome! lol. Seriously, I dont think that I have been calm at all this pregnancy! What I thought at the time was a rough pregnancy with my first (severe swelling (very painful) and 2 months bedrest), then the horrible c-section and recovery, also with the first. I had a miscarriage 5 days before my first babys' second birthday and found out the I was pregnant again in April. I started this time around paranoid. This pregnancy has topped my first with complications! I had placenta previa until about 26 weeks and was on bedrest after 15 weeks. Luckily I was taken off bedrest when the placenta moved. Then at 28 weeks I found out the I have gestational diabetes. Among other small things like UTI's and my very first yeast infection (yay me right? lol) it has just been an emotional roller coaster! Now I am completly freaked out about doing another c-section! As far as being able to plan ahead, those are really the only perks that come to mind! I am so stressed out that I am telling anyone who will listen this whole sob story! Not so that they will pity me or anything, just because the people around me are so sick of hearing it and the more I say it and talk about it, the better I seem to feel. Regreting responding to my comments yet? lol. I am sorry to hear that you havent had an easy time with your deliveries and recoveries. (Especially the being backed up part! That was the most painful and uncomfortable horrible feeling ever!) I wish that it could be like the hallmark movies for everyone! Ya know, where the labor and delivery go smoothly and the mother and baby are in perfect health after. Sigh. Well, thanks for listening and I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy and c-section and recovery, all of it, good luck.

Don't feel bad about getting some negative comments. I have gotten my share from people who think 40 is too old to have a baby. I don't care what they think. My husband and I tried so hard for this and we don't care what anyone thinks. Most people are very nice, though. I have had a few that have said some really rude things, but I don't even think they are aware of what they are saying. I feel sorry for them, and I am glad I don't treat others that way. Congrats to you!!!! I feel more ready now than I did with my other two and my youngest is 15.

well, I have to go in on Monday for my 3 hour GD test. I failed the 1 hour. She said my level was 160 and they usually have people come in when they hit 130. I asked if it matter if I had some sweet tea that day and I also had an icecream ( i know bad ) but i felt like I needed it. She said don't worry about it to much now we don't know if you are a diabetic yet. Something else to worry about... She did say I don't have anmiea and my thyroid levels are perfect!! I remember my RE telliing me since I have PCOS that I am most likely going to have GD. I didn't have it with my Son 16 years ago. I thought maybe I wont.. I guess there is still a chance I don't have it

I had my OB appt today. The Dr measured me at 29 weeks and I am 26. She didn't seem to concerned She did make a face like hmmm... So what does that mean?? She also said its probably cause I am short 5ft and short people sometimes carry ahead like that. I had to get my Labs done (cbc and thyroid and my glocose) I thought you had to fast for the glocose? They said I didn't have to. Its only if I failed the one hour screening.Just curious if anyone else is measuring ahead then what they are? The Dr said she will call me tomorrow if my levels are off. Keeping my fingers crossed everything is okay. Just wanted to see what you guys all think?? I have to go back on Monday for an U/S so I think after that I will go get my 3d u/s. Can't wait!!

tinashope - Sunday, 19 October

At my ultra sound my little GIRL was breach.. she was bum down with feet on right head on left.. she was also facing my back so it was hard to get all the measurements.. i get to go back in a few weeks and try to get a better shot.. my dr was not worried at all as we still have 20 weeks for the baby to straighten out.

knocketup - Saturday, 13 September
