Laura Ward - Sunday, 7 December Message to all: This message is not intended for any one person, but a general statement to all members of the site. After hearing what you all think in regards to posting photos on the forums, we have modified the rules and ask that everyone familiarize yourself so that the site continues to remain friendly for everyone, including new members. In an effort to be respectful of all members of the site, we ask that members do not post more than ONE photo or video per person in the weekly, monthly and information forums. Your ONE picture should be small in size as well. Any large photos will be deleted. You are welcome to post as many pictures as you would like in the photo books, which were created for the purpose of sharing and viewing photos. You may also post as many blogs as you would like with photos in them. We understand that many members enjoy posting and viewing pictures on the forums, but this is not where they belong. We must keep the pictures on the boards to a minimum so that the written comments can continued to be written and read. Otherwise, the numerous amounts of large pictures squash the messages and they become missed. We ask that this modification be respected, therefore any member that continues to post numerous pictures a day will be deleted from the site. Thank you all for helping us keep the site friendly and welcoming for all members.
mother of one - Sunday, 7 December Hey! I dont know when I'm going to be able to post pictures. I can barely walk or get out of bed. My pain tolerance is extremely LOW!! I was in active labor for several hrs before I got an epidural & I just wanted to kill someone...the pain was unbareable. Anyway, until I can post some pictures I want you to look at his picture he took at the hospital. If you google: Chandler Regional Medical Center. Then once you're on the website look for Online Nursery then click the letter F (bc F is the first letter in my name) Brody's name should come up. He was born Dec 1. His name is on there twice bc one time they spelt his middle name wrong. They said the origin of his name is Irish but it's really Scottish! He's so cute...ALL the nurses were crazy about him. Hopefully soon I'll post my birthstory. Let's just say things didnt go as planned(I had to have an emgerency c-section) I was still 2cm after they tried several methods to induce me. But through it all we both survived & we're healthy & I thank God for that!!
oldladymama - Saturday, 6 December Good morning. Well Emma has at least two teeth now. She won't let me look in her mouth, but I think there are only two. Her dad came over Wednesday and spent several hours here and it was very nice. He played with her and ate dinner with Shane and I and everything was very civil. Then, yesterday he got his summons for child support in the mail and he texted me and said " I got my 'happy mail' today, Yea for me". I said "how do you want or expect me to respond? You are her father". He hasn't text me back. Oh well. If he is mad; too bad. How are things with you and Jeffrey? Getting ready for Christmas? I only have gifts for Emma. The boys are so hard to buy for. They usually want money or gas cards. Casey has a snowmobile and he goes through alot of gas in the winter. Well, I hear her waking up so I better go. Take care. Oh ya, we have about 3-5 ft of snow already. Yuck!
niseybear - Friday, 5 December New update and Mo's one year pic up on my page!
Dirk - Friday, 5 December Message to all: In the last 2 years you all posted 1.1 million photos to the site, and that needs a little maintenance. We are currently renaming all photos from the personal photobooks in order to speed up the site. Some, or all your photos may not show while we are working on the photobooks. You don't have to do anything. We hope to have all photos sorted in about 24 hours from now. You can upload new photos to your photobook while the computer is working on your other photos. Thanks for reading.
mother of one - Friday, 5 December Update: Brody & I are doing good. We finally get to go home tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous about going home tomorrow bc I wont have the nurses there to help me (but I didnt always send him to the nursery bc I felt bad & I cried everytime they took him for tests). I will have help from my bf when he's not working & my aunt is in town so she'll help me too. I stayed in the hosptial so long bc before I went into surgery I had a fever of 102 (almost 103). My nurse said that it's also a law that if a women gets a c-section she has to stay for atleast 3days. I've been here since Sunday morning. Anyway Brody is sooooo cute & healthy. ALL the nurses are crazy about him! I'm still in alot of pain & my feet, legs, calfs are swollen but I'll be okay. It was all worth it. I love him so much. I cry if he's away from me for 5mins. How are you doing? Hope all is well with you. Take care! I'll keep you updated as much as possible. Birth story & pics will be up as soon as I'm feeling better & have the engery to do it.
mother of one - Wednesday, 3 December Hi ladies, Thanks to all those who replied to my last message. I just wanted to let you know that I'm doing well & so is my little Brody. I'm pretty sore & in alot of pain but nothing compared to the pain I was in before I had him. I'll put up pictures as soon as I can, it probably wont be for awhile. Hope all is well with you! BTW: I meant Dec.1 not Oct. 1. I was on morphine when I wrote that. Well hopefully I'll talk to you soon. Take care!
oldladymama - Tuesday, 2 December Good morning. Emma was jabbering at 6 a.m., but fell back asleep so I just stayed up. We got 15 1/2 inches of snow yesterday. I hate it. According to the news, our town got the most accumulation in the entire lower peninsula of Michigan. I will be puting some pics of Emma's sled on soon. It is so awesome. My dad gave my brother an old runner sled and he made it into the most beautiful sled for Emma. It is pink and it has her name on it. You'll just have to see it. Well, she definitely has the one tooth, but I think she is cutting more. She has been chewing on her fingers and pacifier like crazy the past couple of days and doesn't drink her bottles very well. She is getting to be so much fun though. I'm tired and wish it wasn't always me that had to play with her, but I try and cherish every moment. I'm going back to the hair salon today and getting the rest of my hair cut off. I can't stand it hanging in my face. I'm going to get it really short (pixie like). Wayne likes nothing but long hair. Oh well, too bad. He's not here and I really don't care about his opinion.lol. I put up some Christmas lights around the living room yesterday for Emma to look at. I'm not going to have a big tree this year. Too much work and I'm sure she would want to be into it. I have a little tiny tree that my mom made out of coat hangers and garland with lights on it and that will be our tree. Santa is going to be in town on Thursday night, but I have class so Emma won't be going to see him. My mom said maybe her and my dad would take her, but she is so little she won't know the difference and he might just scare the heck out of her. I sure wish we lived closer to you. I would love to have a friend and a friend for Emma. Well, take care
mother of one - Tuesday, 2 December Hey! I finally had my baby Oct 1. OMG I was in so much pain, I dont see how anyone can do this more than once(but if you have done it more than goodluck to you & God bless.) I didnt plan on having an epidural but I was in such much pain I had to get one. Well I had him via csection for several reasons. Well come to find out he had the cord around his shoulder but he's completely fine! Omg I love him so much & he's sooooooo cute. He has the softest cry ever! I rhank God for my son & for a safe delivery. We'll I'm really tired so i'll talk to you later. I'll keep you updated as much as possible. Goodnight takecare!
***sorry for the errors, I'm still at the hospital & they gave me morphine.
mother of one - Sunday, 30 November Hey! I'm at the hospital right now. I'm still only 1cm dilated! Ugh I guess this baby just loves being inside of me. Well I'll keep you updated as much as I can. Hope all is well with you! :-D
niseybear - Sunday, 30 November Thank you my friends for the Thanksgiving wishes, I hope each of you had happy ones too. It was just Charles, Mo, and I, but it was nice. We went for a drive around 4pm just for something to do. We don't get to do family things much and it was nice. Our next big holiday is Chanukah and I can't wait! That will be so special spending it with Mo. He loves candles and we get to light eight of them over eight days, so that will be a special treat for him. His birthday is Thursday Dec 4th, but we're having his party on the 7th of Dec. Going to the zoo and then back to Grammy's for cake and ice cream. Nothing big as he'll only be one and won't remember a thing til he see pictures. I told hubby rather sadly today that our son has been alive for a year and we have yet to take a family picture. He promised on his birthday or at the party that will change. I'm glad. I don't need any fancy photographers, just a picture with my digital will do for me. I hope you all are well. Take care and thanks for visiting. Oh yeah, hubby is doing MUCH better and we now have VA Benefits so we don't have to pay for hospital visits anymore. Have to catch up the ones we do have, but knowing the VA is there now is such a blessing. Later ladies! Be blessed!
mother of one - Saturday, 29 November What exactly was she suppose to do? Should she have admitted me to the hospital? My mom's friend had her baby one day after she had her membranes ruptured. Does that mean I could go into labor soon?
mother of one - Saturday, 29 November UPDATE: I just got home from the doctor & I'm 1cm dilated & my doctor ruptured my membranes. I made a little progress since the last time I was at the doctor (tuesday) bc I wasnt even dilated. Well....I'm going to be induced Sunday at 5:30am. My doc was wrong about my due date(like I thought) I was actually due on Nov. 19 so I'm like WAY overdue!! I'm excited but nervous at the same time. Lastnight I thought I was in labor forsure, this pain hit me out of nowhere & I could barely walk but it was false labor. I'll try to keep you updated as much as possible. Hopefully the gel works that way I dont need pitocin. Hope you had a wondful holiday.
oldladymama - Friday, 28 November So, how was your Thanksgiving? Everything was good at my paren'ts house. Emma was a very good girl (even though she only had two 30 minute naps for the day. I got her to take another 30 minute nap in the evening before we came home, but that was it. She's doing terrible with the naps again. I would have liked to gone shopping today, but had no one to watch her. Oh well. Emma also has stranger anxiety, I think most kids do at this age. Plus, we never get out so she is pretty anxious with anyone she doesn't know real well unless she is in an extremely good mood. Well, I better go find her some dinner. Probably left over mashed potatoes and gravy from Grandma (Emmas favorite). Take care
mother of one - Friday, 28 November Hi, Right now I feel fine. I've been having contractions off and on since about noon today. I'm still having some pain but not sure if it's bad enough for me to go to the hospital. How are you? Hope you had a great holiday!
mother of one - Thursday, 27 November Happy Holidays!! Hope you have a safe & wonderful holiday!! :-D
oldladymama - Thursday, 27 November Happy Thanksgiving! Well, yesterday at Wayne's moms was not fun. After driving for 45 minutes, we arrived and Wayne met us outside and carried Emma in. After his mom, grandma, daughters, aunt and stepdad (and the obnoxious dog)got in her face and scared her half to death she screamed and cried for an hour. I could not get her to settle down. She doesn't know any of them. She doesn't know the house or anything in it. Thank God I brought along 2 of her Baby Einstein dvds. Wayne put one in after I got her calm and she was happy as clam. His mom drives me crazy. They live 30 miles away and she has only been here once since he moved on July 2. She is just "too busy" to get over here. I don't know about you, but my family would drive to see Emma. I don't ever want to go there again. It's not worth it. I would like her to know her family, but there is no reason that we both can't visit eachother. I'm still upset. I couldn't sleep last night. I don't ever sleep very well, but it was worse last night. Well, I hear her getting louder. She has been awake for about 45 minutes, but being good so I haven't went in and said "good morning" yet. Take care.
oldladymama - Wednesday, 26 November That's a good one. Sounds like she has a little growing up to do. I can see the tooth for sure today, but I can't tell if it's broke through or not. I have been busy baking this morning because we are going to Wayne's moms today for dinner and my mom's tomorrow and I always make chocolate chip cheesecake, cranberry cheesecake, and fudgey mocha nut pie to take to my moms and I wanted to make sure I got it done. I don't think I'm going to get Emmas pics done anywhere before christmas. Although I could take her to Walmart today if she's good because it's in the same town as Wayne's mom. But, I probably won't. We have enough to do and the 30 mile drive I dread. Not so much on the way there, but on the way home. I want to give Emma her christmas gifts already, but I won't. She has so many toys. A lot more than the boys did, but I've got most of them second hand and didn't spend alot of money on them. Take care and Happy Thanksgiving!
oldladymama - Wednesday, 26 November Hi! I went to sign papers at the child support specialist today and then I went to and did a little christmas shopping. Walmart didn't have the giraffe ride on toy I wanted, but they had a Baby Einstein rocking caterpillar that I ended up getting. She will like it. And after all that I got my hair cut. About 8-10" off. Emma is constantly pulling it and it was time for a change. Not sure if I like it yet. I may go back and get more cut off the sides. It still hangs in my face. My mom was here and watched Emma from 11-5 while I was gone. That was a nice little outing. Well, I better go. Take care
mother of one - Tuesday, 25 November I bet he's going to look sooooooo cute for his pictures! Hopefully he'll be on his best behavior. My mom wants to take family Christmas photos. I'm sure he'll come soon. I'm just worried about him being too big for a vaginal birth and I'm worried about his health. He's completely heathly, I havent had any complications, it's just that I'm overdue & sometimes its not safe for a baby to stay in there too long. You have to show me his Christmas photos. I cant wait to take my baby for his Christmas photo!
mother of one - Tuesday, 25 November UPDATE: I just go home from the doctor and I'm still not dilated. My doctor said that they're going to give me until Friday...to see if the baby comes on his own. If he doesnt then I have to go to the hospital & they'll give me gel to help lossen up my cervix. If that doesnt work then they'll give me pitocin & if that doesnt work & I dont start to show any progress then I'll need a c-section!! I have to make an appt for an u/s sometime this week bc they want sure my fluid isnt low. Ugh this baby is being so stubborn!! Hopefully he'll come before or on Friday. I'm just worried about his health, I dont want him to stay in there too long. Wish me luck. I know that God will bring him into this world when He's ready. Thanks for all the support!! :-D
