okok so i am super bored and decided i would finally write something on my page.

my husband, ashton, and i started "going out" in 9th grade about 15 years ago. we got married almost 9 years ago right after high school. i got pregnant and thats what you are supposed to do right? well we decided after that that we were going to place our daughter for adoption. I knew then that all i wanted to be when i grew up was a mom. 6 years later and a collage degree we decided it was time to start a family of our own. i had Rain in march of '08 i was so excited to have a baby that i was keeping, i held her every min. until she was like "i need my space mom" in not so many words. she is 17 months now and the light of my life.

i found out i was pregnant with our second, a boy, in feb '09. we were trying but i was shocked because i never had a period after i had Rain. i guess the timing was just right. i am so excited to see what this little one is going to be like. my husband is thrilled it is a boy. we might be done after this one because i have had c-sections and am not sure if it will be safe to have more. we will see when i deliver. if it is our last though i will be happy that i was able to have a boy and a girl, or that i was able to have any at all for that matter.

Thanks for the supportive words. He was actually away for a month and I missed him so much. I had a shower, shaved, got all pretty for his return but that night just didn't feel like being touched. I'm so frustrated with myself and feel so guilty. I do keep reminding myself that it's the hormones (and the uncomfortablness of a big belly and sore back and hip ligaments). I know it will pass. Thanks!

Hey teressa. I was thinking this morning that a c section may not be so bad! I watched the tv and saw a woman giving birth - literally - completely terrifying without any doubt. Wish I hadnt seen it now and am well aware of what is going to happen to me. Im like you too afraid of having all the responsibility of this little person but Im quietly confident that it can and will work out!

Hiya! Now as the day has gone on Im tired and Im thinking - some time off will be nice but I really just want my baby now too cos thats what this has been all about! Im getting scared too though - about labour/birth, responsibility, lack of sleep and if Im gonna manage this new job! Are you scared of the birth??

Thanks for the comment! Ok good that you got to go home and rest. That is funny what your coworker told you. Everyone at my work was so bummed when I had to go on bedrest, they were like can't you just keep your legs crossed and sit at the computer and not move? Ha ha. I just got back from the doctor again, everything is looking good I just need to keep him growing inside for 2 more weeks.

Hey there! I just read your post and I am 80% effaced, baby is very low and I was contracting every 3 minutes. My doctor put me on medicne to slow contractions, but they only slowed to about 8 minutes, so now I am on bedrest for the next 2 weeks. (I am 35 weeks now and the doctor wants me to hit 37 weeks before the baby being born). Defeinelty take it easy. I tried to go back to work and it landed me in labor and delivery which is where it was determined I would need bedrest. Good luck with everything.

I'm scheduled for a c-section on march 21st, too!!! that's so cool... I want to have my doctor check me and see if I'm effaced at all, because I have been nesting BIG TIME lately and I have had a feeling for a while now that this baby is gonna be here early. lol

baby clothes dony lose value if u dont use them so dont worry u can swap or change them with other mums or online auction them plus baby wont care what colour he/she is in for the first few days my bro was in dolls clothes as he was so skinny lol

I was really nervous too! The ultrasound tech at my docs office had trouble finding out the sex at my 19 weeks ultrasound, so that same day I went to this place that does the 4d scans....but I just had a scan done to find out the sex. She told me that I was expecting a boy....but one of my friends who had seen her previously told me that she had told her she was having a girl and when the baby was born, it was a boy!!!! So THAT alone got me really nervous!! I had my baby shower and got allllll kinds of blue clothes etc, then I finally just washed them all last week. I was so nervous that it was going to be a girl, but I went and had another ultrasound on Monday (I convinced the doctore that I thought the baby was laying sideways in me!!) and the u/s tech said 99% positive that this is a boy...so that was a HUGE relief!!! If you are really nervous about it, get another ultrasound or just wash clothes that either a boy or girl can wear...like yellows, whites and greens =) You'll be fine!

Maybe you could just was a few things that are for either. You only need a couple then when the baby comes you can have someone help you (like your mom if she comes to help out) wash the rest of the stuff. But at first, they are just going to be in onesies anyway. I would wait on all the 6mos and up stuff to wash for sure when you know. Maybe even go get a few packs of white onesies and wash those so you have a week or two worth of stuff.

I need to wash my baby clothes too...maybe you could just do some of the neutral colors for now and just a few outfits for a girl...just in case they've told you wrong. I have mostly boy clothes, I've had 3 ultrasounds that say boy, so I'm pretty sure its a boy (I sure do hope so!).
