My LO likes the medela bottles and nipples. Good luck!

mandarae - Monday, 24 November
Hey there - read your post regarding bottles... We bought a million different bottles for my girls.. finally we settled on the playtex drop in nurser... they just choked and gagged and spit out all the rest... (I think we spent close to 80 bucks on different ones) What a pain!!! I feel for ya! Crazy babies! Nothings as good as a boobie though!! lol

Hey Tove, how long have you been on the motilium now? It took almost 6 weeks for me to see the max bennefits of the medicine. I'm guess you have tried all the pumping techniques from the mobi site I sent you? Some women have luck with brewers yeast, and alphalfa. Also, a woman in the mobi support group has been able to EBF due to metamucil of all things! Congratulations on making so much more milk though - that is fantastic. Did the info I gave you give you any insight on what might be the underlying factor in your low supply issues? I'l let you know if I can think of anything else that might help, but don't give up on the motilium yet - re-evaluate after your have been on it for 6 weeks. Not that I'm recommending that you do it, but I know some of the women in the support group have taken as much as 200mg/day. Maybe that is worth a shot at the end of 6 weeks?

I read your post and am going through the same thing,. I had to supplement in the hospital for glucose level reasons, but now she is acting the same as yours, I was able to get her to breast feed yesterday twice, but today she isn't having it...
If you find a solution, please share. I will do the same. Thanks and good luck!

I´ve also sent you pics of my boy at his christening. You´re going to be inundated with pics of babies in dresses, LOL!

littlecavalier - Thursday, 6 November
Hey, remember me?? Just wanted to check in and see if you had any luck with the motilium. How are things going??

thebigtomato - Thursday, 6 November
Weird. Maybe you have to be in her friend's network or something. It is on her profile page. I can see it just fine and I just went and checked again and it's still there... ??? I don't know!

I know nmck has posted a pic of her son in his baptismal gown alongside his girl cousin. Her pic is on her profile at http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/vip/nmck. Her little boy is the one on the right. :) I didn't tell nmck I was sending you this, but since it's on her profile page, I don't think she would mind...

Thanks for this info. I might try ordering some if I can't get my supply up in the next few days.

I usually stay away from caffeine too but every once in a while I will drink a coke while out or a cup of coffee and yesterday I had a migraine so that evening I had a venti latte from starbucks and the caffeine has never seemed to bother my little one. I don't think I even payed attention to it with any of my others and they never had problems. I wouldn't dump the milk

here it is: http://mobimotherhood.org/MM/portal-WhereToGetHelp.aspx you have to sign up and write an introduction then they will approve your membership - I think it only took a couple of hours to be accepted. Best wishes!

I started out taking 30mg/3times/day then at 3 weeks in I bumped it up to the max dosage of 40mg/4times/day. I will begin weaning myself down very soon (as soon as I'm sure my milk is stable). The way I see it is try the recommended dosage that you are on, if you don't see any difference or as much then bump it up. Once you are where you would like to be or at the end of 6 weeks then begin to wean down slowly and see how much you need to take to maintain. FYI: mobi also has a support group that I joined. The women there have been so helpful and supportive. The BFing forum here is nice, but sometimes it's hard to relate to women who just aren't having the same issues as you. Also, because of what they are going through, the women at mobi know so much; they are just a wealth of knowledge. I encourage you to join the group and give it a try! Here is the page with the link - if you want to give it a try.

Hey, have you tried offering him a soother instead of breastfeeding. My girls were doing that and it turns out they were just waking up which is normal but were unable to sooth themselves back to sleep. They also do it if they have a tummy ache which I think is sometimes from something I have eaten (garlic, broccoli, cauliflower) or if I have supplemented with a formula that constipated them. They are past it now, since I either go in and give them a soother (only happens once in a while) or give them something for gas if they have it. I used to just bring them into bed and have them sleep on my chest if I was exhausted and they would go right to sleep if I couldn't get them to calm down in their own cribs. By the way, I love the name Brody. We named our 3 year old son Brody too : )

ejsontheway - Monday, 27 October
Thanks. I am on Cipro and Flagyl. Fenugreek, that is it. I had read about it a long time ago and couldnt remember the name..

thanks for the words about mastitis...actually I nursed my first until she was 5 months and never had it, but I went back to work with my second and think maybe lack of pumping/nursing contributed to this bout of it. I just hope it clears up FAST!!
