smartinson - Wednesday, 10 December That's awesome so they didn't mind the coldness of the ice cream? Mine are little piggies I can't believe they are in newborn clothes still that crazy I guess they are itty bitty. Mine are in 12-18months. Well I am glad things are going good. Hope you and you family have a wonderful Christmas!!!!
smartinson - Monday, 24 November So are they good babies? If you have time you should post recent pictures. I would love to see them. Are they rolling all over the place? Do they enjoy baby food?
smartinson - Thursday, 20 November Glad things are going okay. Bet everyone misses Daddy lots and lots. When were they born? How much did they weigh? Mine were born June 24 and weighed 6/6 and 6/9 big boys. Good luck with everything
smartinson - Wednesday, 19 November How's them babies doing??
mandarae - Sunday, 9 November Oh my mama... bless your heart! Ican't imagine trying to do this on my own, much less with three children as well as the twins! You are sure a strong woman!!! I have daddy whom works roughly 14 hour days, and I let him sleep at night, but still get a couple hours of help before bed. I also have a son who will be 8 next week.
We got the go ahead from their Dr on Wed to exclusively breast feed if we wanted. We are practicing, but they still get so tired if they nurse too long... plus I don't have any idea of how to get them both latched at the same time (I do have a super good pillow when the time is right) so we are only nursing a few times a day. I can't wait until we can do it full time!
lizzyo - Saturday, 8 November The first week I gave them formula my littlest one put on a pound!! I couldn't believe it. I felt bad then cos I thought maybe he'd been hungry the whole time but not getting enough from me. From that point they started to gain about three quarters of a pound a week. It was so great to see them finally fatten up and how big their little thighs are, it so cute. My husband doesnt get to change nappies very often but when he does he can't believe how big they've gotten over a week. Our boys are still on the small side for their age but they are catching up fast. I couldnt wait for them to go up a size in clothing, its so great to finally be able to use all the clothes we've been given. I cant believe how much milk you've got stored, thats great!! At least with pumping and bottle feeding you will be able to see exactly how much they are drinking and it will give you a bit of peace of mind knowing that you are giving them what they need. I used to worry so much that they weren't getting enough. Nearly everyone I speak to couldn't believe I even attempted breastfeeding with twins and they couldn't believe I continued to pump for so long so it makes me feel not so bad about stopping, and you have done far better than me. I just can't imagine how tough it must get for you. Stay strong.
lizzyo - Friday, 7 November Congratulations to you for still breastfeeding. My boys are 4 months old and I just stopped expressing this month. That is definitely hard work. One of my boys wasnt gaining weight fast enough and my paed said its time to think about supplementing, that was when they were 6 weeks. As soon as I did that both of them took off. From that point I expressed milk and gave it to them in a bottle then topped them up with formula. It has been so much easier for me since I did cos I can kind of schedule their feeds a bit easier, and if I need a break my husband or someone elso can feed them. They are now both around 14 pounds each. They are also sleeping sometimes 10 hours a night so that makes things easier. I really cannot imagine how hard it must be for you, especially having the other children and not having your husband around. You are so strong. Good luck.
happy4twins - Sunday, 12 October I had to laugh at your dairy cow comment on the multiples forum. My twins are also about the same age and i am pumping about 90% of their meals. I feel your pain. I hate to pump so much but i needed to have the help and the bottles make it easier to supplement when i need to. It is great for the babies though they are growing so fast and the money saved on formula keeps me going. Hang in there they will not be small forever.
Laura Ward - Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

mandarae - Thursday, 2 October Oh - How cute is this pic?!??!?!
mandarae - Thursday, 2 October Hello there! I just read your comment about pumping... I had to chuckle a bit, and I do not fully understand it yet, but am getting there! My girls were just born last week, at 33 weeks, so they are still in NICU... When I am visiting them during the day, I get so much more milk with the hospital pump... then at home, ugh.... my pump just does not work as good. I have an Ameda Purely yours and it is NOT the same! Anyways - just wanted to comment. Your children are all beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
z.q.jackson - Thursday, 21 August i stumbled across a bulliten you wrote saying your husband was in the air force & getting deployed so i came to your page...my husband is also in the air force (stationed in the UK) & hes getting deployed next april...we have twin boys & a two year old...but anyways, so then when i came to your page i saw that your husband is stationed at Tinker..my sister & her husband are both in the air force & stationed at Tinker as well. Small world! hope your twins are doing well! take care.
twinstwice - Friday, 1 August Congrats on the birth of your twins - your gift from God!
I saw your comment on the multiples page - nursing and sleep etc. My girls were on the smaller size when they were born and because they lost even more weight while in the hospital we had to feed them every 3 hours - including waking them up to feed until they hit the 6 lb mark. Also - we had to supplement for the first two weeks (pumped breastmilk) until they could suck hard enough to get enough oz from just nursing. And then after that they would wake on their own almost every 3 hours anyways to feed. It didn't get much better until 6 weeks after their original due date (not their actual date of birth) when they started to sleep continuously 3-5 hours at a go - and even then I wasn't getting that much.
I know that probably doesn't help much - but thought I would share my story. In the end the girls probably started sleeping better around 6 months with 1-2 feeds at night. Though I know there are woman who have better sleepers from the get go.
vanette - Sunday, 27 July if u dont mind me asking but why were your girls in the NICU for 2 weeks?
happy4twins - Wednesday, 23 July Congratulation on your beautiful girls. I saw that you were nursing both. How wonderful. I really want to nurse mine exclusively and was wondering if you have tried to nurse them at the same time yet or if you just feed them each separately. I am trying to get any advice to help me nurse mine successfully. thank you.
happy4twins - Monday, 30 June Congrats on the birth of your twins. How exiting. I really wish i were done but I suppose it wont be long.
